@neil08965 they are not that rare... i have 2 and another one thats a super colorful veil tail. where do you live? they have them at petco stores and at my petsmart they put them in with danios (bettas wont mess with fish that arent pretty, i keep mine with a danio too)

@steviev008 Bettas are fighters.. Like EXTREME fighters. Male bettas should NEVER (I repeat NEVER) be put together under any circumstances.. The loser will always appear dead. And as for female bettas, they can be put together, but if they start fighting, then you should take them apart. And lastly, Female and Male Bettas can live in the same tank (commonly put together for breeding), but if you are breeding them, watch them as they do because the female can kill the male betta. :)

@KiwiLover1997 Erm, first of all female bettas can only be put together under certain conditions, usually 3 + in a ten gallon tank, and you need to put them in the tank in a certain order to establish a pecking order. Also, female and male bettas should never live together as the only time they usually don't fight is if they are conditioned, or there is lots of spaces for the female to hide. Finally, when breeding it is usually the male that will kill the female.

well obviously i can't tell you where the owner got theirs but i just wanted to say that you can get some very beautiful bettas from the site aquabid. and most likely the owner of this one got it from a breeder, or he/she breeds bettas themselves.
