Thanks for the video, after watching it yesterday I went today and purchased the Remington 700 SPS Varmint with the 20" fluted, threaded barrel along with the same scope. I did purchase the Harris 6/9 Swivel. I've been shooting RRA .223 and finally have grown up to the .308. I'm looking forward to hitting the range tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.
What rail are you using that's allowing you to use low scope rings? I'm looking to purchase a similar set up for my 700 with the same scope and by my poor math estimations I would need at least the medium Burris rings on an EGW 20MOA rail.
@PurelyScientific I am using th EGW 20MOA and Burris Xtreme picatinny lows. It just barely clears, but it does. I got highs at first, then sent them back cause they were way too tall. These are perfect.
@Acehart3 The scope is holding up so far. I was skeptical at first, because there are some negative opinions of it. It's a good scope for the price. I am not an optic snob, I buy what my budget allows, and this has held zero and is clear. I had to send the first one back, but the second was much better. It also carry's a lifetime warranty.
@dodoinurpants Hi, for some reason YouTube wont let me post a link, but if you go to the Millett website, they have a free data book which is the one i used to make mine. You can basically create one in a design or word processor program and tailor it to your needs.
