Altair was more interesting because after each assassination there's actually a somewhat interesting back and forth between Altair and the target. And after the mission, back and forth between Al Mualim and Altair. Altair questioned and sought knowledge. He tried to understand the ideology of the templars through his victims. Ezio spends most of AC 2 out for revenge, completely unaware of the higher purpose the templars and assassins serve.

im recording with fraps too and i don't have any lag...

There was 2 things to this recording... fraps do slow down some games on my system, because it's not that good. But at the specific time when I recorded this video, which was quite a while (you can see better games running quite fine over my recent videos), and at that time the problem I had was the excess of heat on the cpu. When I did a nice cleaning through the cooler and dissipator, I got what would be like a 30-40% performance increase.

Blend still works if there is no scholars. If you blend right in front of an informed guard he wont do anything, but if you let go of the A button, he will attack right away. The only thing blending without scholars doesn't do is get you through guard posts. Sometimes I wonder that if the people who leave comments on games have ever even played the game before.

i've tried it, and it doesnt work for me. what i exactly did, was steath assassinated a guard, then immediately blended. the other guards came over to check out the scene, and they attacked me almost immidiately. i think your thinking of the second game, cause you can blend in with any group in that game
