Great Job Evan! From editing, play by play commentary, and graphics. This is the best game coverage I've ever seen. Plz keep this format! It would be cool to have the winning player talk through the edited game, like a director's commentary. But that is easily asking too much

If the winner is a good player, then yes, that would be interesting. If the winner made a ton of playmistakes like me... well, not so much.

Seriously, half of that commentary would be me saying 'I meant to do this' and 'I really should've done this.' lol. It would end with an apology to all players that practiced and prepared for this PTQ (as I neglected to do).

Everyone who watched this video probably thinks the same thing... I started playing in '94 when I was sixteen, and it took a while to really figure the game out. I remember playing in an Ice Age release tourney and losing when my opponent tapped five mana for a Meteor Shower (XXR) and claimed that it was 8 damage... I dumbly scooped and was like, wait a minute, but it was too late.

Magic the Gathering is really fun and fun to play but it's a bit difficult at times. Perhaps Wizards should stop marketing this towards kids and stick with an older demographic. First off kids don't want to play something that's too hard to figure out and have to be told what they did wrong all of the time and second there's more teen and adult players who buy the cards. I know I'm going to take some heat for saying this but it's the truth.

The latter is true. Naya Zoo tends to be mana-light, which is not what figure likes to see, and its other options are far more efficient.

Some insight on game 3...

I looked at Evan and said 'I need to rip a good one drop' before seeing the Kird Ape on top. I drew my 2nd Jitte on turn two, so I knew I was walking into a counter there.

Overall....

I feel like both of us had bad draws... mine came in games 1 and 2 (with the nuts in game 3), while his bad draws came games 2 and 3.

I'd like to add that Evan puts his heart and soul into this show every week. GJ Man. Oh, and thanks to all my friends that helped me get to HAWAII!!

Game 1, if Sean activated Mutavault I could've burned it, so he didn't misplay there. I have no clue what I was thinking when I sac'd the orginal Fanatic

Game 2, I walked a Thoctar into a Mana Leak with only two lands untapped. Yea... I should've waited another turn there.

Game 3, I meant to say 'before damage,' but instead said 'before blockers' when burning a Mutavault. I'd like to mention that I was running on 3.5 hours of sleep. This was my 12th round of the day! lol

Sean IS NOT a dick. He is by far one of the best Magic players I've met, on and off the table. We laughed and joked throughout finals, and he was a great sport.

I DID draw when Char was sent to the bottom. I drew a Wooded Foothills and played it. Evan didn't announce it, but you can see it in play.
