@trufantom21 I used Plasti-Kote Brilliant Metallic Spray Paint (Chrome Paint) and just sprayed on a few coats letting it dry in between and then added detail with some basic black acrylic.
The metallic sparay is quite cheap to get hold of and makes a big difference.

I made the base using polysterene and used the same make of paint in a stone finnish.
DIY stores stock it but I got my paint in wilkinsons and I think they are the cheapest.
It took two small cans of chrome paint to give the figure a good covering but you can use more and less black if you want a shinier finnish.
Just type terminator custom and you'll find lots
