If I remember correctly, this is near the end of Peter's final scene before disappearing from the film without any explanation. I can't help but wonder: was this actually in the script, or was this the moment when the actor (Kyle Vogt) thought "enough is enough"? It makes sense. The whole tuxedo-football scenario is stupid as it is, but the way Denny delivers the previous line ("Gee Peter, you're clumsy.") while smiling like a retard was probably the nail in the coffin.
