This is one that i missed back in the day or maybe i was just a tad to young. I just bought a compliation of female singers. So good to see that Babs still enjoys playing it. This is a classic and so it should be. Having just seen the live version of the studio production on youtube (my thanks to the uploaders) from 1962, all i can say is Wow what a song and what a performer. This has gone into my all time collection. Loved it.
respectfully, in accordance with the introduction, this is a great song but the first Beatles #1 hit was in 1963; "I Want To Hold Your Hand." not a big deal, but noteworthy.
Janis...down the road a bit in Port Arthur, never had the voice, talent or the "class" of "Miss Barbara Lynn". She not only has the prettiest, yet sexy, voice in Southeast Texas, she also writes her own music and has a great, unique guitar playing style. Ok, so I'm an old Beaumont musician myself so I admit being partial to all the good music that has always, and continues to, come out of "The Golden Triangle".
wow! Pretty cool. That Strat isn't even plugged in, but I can relate to that. Too bad there's so much distortion in the sound.

1962 is when Barbara Lynn wrote You'll Lose A Good Thing? I thought I heard '63, but it must be 46 years ago not 45 even.
Awesome show today at LOC!
Can't wait to see you 2nite!
