I enjoy both Helen and Mira's vocals. Being so different sounding works for Ladytron. Gotta believe Mira's will be on some of the tracks. Not so would be disappointing.

@gotehorn I heard some snippets of other songs on Amazon and Mira is singing in a couple of them. Unfortunately, Mira-sung songs are never chosen as singles.

@chicograndeblast well, i think it has to do with the subject of the song. it sounds like the song is some sort of metaphor for the death of something. and at one point she says "this love is whispering / as distant sirens ring / goodbye." so i think the line "as distant sirens ring" is referring to Ambulances. but that's just my opinion. haha.

Great track, one of their best. But if one wants to put a genre label on this track, I don't think it would be electro, like someone here said. IMHO Ladytron's only pure electro track was Commodore Rock on 501. Several tracks with Mira on vocals have electro elements and in those tracks one can hear that they have been influenced by Kraftwerk. But I think this track is merely trip hop, especially the beginning.

I really can't wait to listen the whole album, "White Elephants" was a lovely surprise but I have to say that "Ambulances" exceeded my expectations, you can feel how Ladytron's sound has evolved during all this years and I think they have reached a whole new level of perfection.
