Nas thinks that 50 is supported by “Mr. Chronic” (aka Dr. Dre; The Chronic was Dre’s first album), and “Mr. 8 Mile” (8 Mile is where Eminem is from in Detroit)
Of course, 50 already has plenty of money.. but his rhymes are dead (play on the name of 50’s breakthrough album, Get Rich or Die Tryin
You know, it's just in my opinion, Queens respectively has the best rappers from NY.
Nas, (Prodigy + Havoc of Mobb Deep) Capone n' Noreaga, Cormega, Trajedy Khadafi, Run-DMC, LL cool J, and in all honesty, 50 cent and lloyd banks aren't that bad too.
I hope all you niggas sayin nas is this and that, i hope you at least black me and my niggas what all yall wack asses wish you was.....BLACK notice the lashes on his black for niggas only thats what he sayin in the song

not a single drum pattern or bass hit in the whole song, and yet its still beautiful, hats off to the NAS and JAY Electronica for constantly pushing the boundries for the genre we know as HIP HOP
Nas has been around since '91. Before Tech. Don't get me wrong, Tech is one of my all time favorites but Nas is my Number 1! And no matter who comes in the game in the last remaining years of my life, Nas is still my Number 1! He's the realest and can write a story and publish it better and faster than Stephen King.
im not trying to prove you wrong or anything cuz Nas is really amazing to me and if you say someone's sicker.....then i really wanna hear some of those rappers
@ThumbsUpMike Tech N9ne, Eyedea and Abilities, Wu-Tang Clan, Immortal technique Well I like them more than I like Nas but theres halla other sick rappers out there you just have to look.
immortal isnt better than Nas to me cuz he's only talking about conspiracy theories......im not against what he says and he represents them amazingly and is always on point! but it gets tiring after awhile
Tech N9NE is dope, but lyrically he doesnt have that much of an impact like Nas does to me
I can never find people that have that lyrical amazement that Nas brings, except for like Rakim
@ThumbsUpMike Aight well whatever floats your boat brotha In my opinion Method man is a way better lyricist than Nas. And Techs been in the game waaaaayyyyyy longer than Nas and Immortal Technique well personaly I think he would kill Nas in a rap battle. And Inspectah Deck from Wu-Tang I think he has way better lyrics too. I guess it all depends on what you like better.
@iskateSowat101 Meth is clever/witty with his shit but that's about it, when he can pen songs like, Silent Murder,Take it In Blood, Memory Lane, Stay Chiseled, Star Wars just to name a few then we can talk, Meth dosen't have Nas's level or depth of lyricsim neither does he have the scope Nas has, not even close
@iskateSowat101 yo how old r u b? lol 12? method man a better lyricist then nas?? lmao. dont get me wrong meth is made dope but what r u smokin g??? immortal been in the game longer then nas lol fuck u sayin nas been in the game since 91 nas birthed immortal techniques style and every single rapper today when he dropped illmatic.
@iskateSowat101 wut u talkin bout nas doesnt rap anymore? he dropped an album a few months ago and underground singles here and there. hes been droppin albums consistently. just cause you dont hear him on the radio doesnt mean he doesnt rap
Take 27 mc's put em all in line(eminem line) and they outta alignment. MY ASSIGNMENT since he said retirement(jay z). HIDIN BEHIND 8 Mile and the CHRONIC(DRE). Get Rich But Dies Rhymin(50).
@ll2nycell no, that whole part is just a 50 diss, "my assignment since he said retirement." is referring to when 50 said he was gonna retire if kanye's album sold more than his. The only reason why 50 gets any credit is because he works with eminem and dre, and relies on dre beats and em's features to make a hit record. That's what hidin behind 8 mile and the chronic means. He wouldnt diss em or dre for no reason.
He was and will always be my brother even tho he don't know me, when I needed guidance I never speak to mom or dad or any of my elders I pop in one of my Nas tapes or CD's. I am 30 now and his music has made me more brilliant than any school ever will because he thought me to use one skill no book will ever teach, is your critical thinking skills. If they really say God was a teacher then Nas was my teacher, I don't believe in anything I can't see. Nasir is our Ghandi, X and JFK...
@ckondiah You cant say that man. Yes Nas is a teacher but who did he learn from to b a teacher even Nas believes in God. If u see Nas's history he learned the bible and african history making him more special. All this fake nigaz this days speak about booty miss educating the youth. They r still slaves even though great ppl died for their freedom. The best thing about Nas is he is educated about God makin him to smart for dis Coorporate bastards. He can see through them dats y we appreciate him
@ckondiah You know Nas was and is an avid reader? You don't have to go school to get deep into books...matter fact school will give you a western eurocentric perspective on the world. Books contain knowledge and if you read certain ones they can change your perspective on life. Books are excellent resources to develop critical thinking skills.

@bsmyn0708 acctually im sorry for the previous comment i looked up some of 50's old shit from the mixtape guess whoback and his album before that and yeah he was pretty good but all his mainstream shit sucks dick. I know most of them rappers are past they prime but you can stiill listen to their sick tunes
@bsmyn0708 50 destroy nas? rah put down the crack pipe. why do you want this to be 'gangsta' 50 cent not even a gangsta he just a wannabe pussyhole that apeals to five year olds. Nas is a lyrical king! if you want gangsta rap search NWA, Biggie, early dre, wu tang, ice cube, pac etc not your 50 cent shit
@Buzzman182 i agree w/ everything except ice cube. cuz sometimes ice cube spits ignorant shit. he made a song called black korea nd totally fuked up the image of korea for a lot of those who understood the song. it actually became a problem. half of the shit he said was ignorant bs. plus he tried 2 get on the bet cypher this yr (btw i didnt think he was that good....) im assuming etc. refers to guys like Big L, eazy-E, nd a bunch of other underground or forgotten artists.
@instherebel8 dickhead read my previous comments i stated how nas is a lyrical genious ad would destroy 50 and then sme dude started sayin classic 50 would destroy nas i checked out his old stuff it was lright but nothig compared to nas. Read before you type
Pregnant teens give birth to intelligent gangsters/They daddies faceless/Play this by ya stomach/Let my words massage it and rub it/I’ll be his daddy if there’s nobody there to love it- Nas Wow
This is going to sound blasphemic, but this song is by far my favorite Nas track...ever!!! This album came out back in 08, and from the day it dropped to now (and probably forever) it feels perfect.
Jay Electronica did his thing on this production. It truly lays the prime pallet for Nas to paint his masterpiece. I can't imagine ANYONE else over this kind of sound.
Yeah Nas is the best. But this album is like Jay-Z Def Jam peace record label album. It's different than the rest of his catalogue, trust me I've got all his albums except this one cuz it's different. Hip Hop is Dead was a lil different too but it had some bangers on it like "Money Over Bullshit". This one I don't know if it has any bangers on it.
@viperpulse This album wasn't meant to have "bangers" on it. It's a concept album. Nas is trying to educate. He's completely on another level than 99% of rappers today, none of which would have the balls to put out an album like this in fear of hurting their image.
ay yo! Queenz get da money! but da world iz 2 stupid 2 hear dis ryte now. datz y they didnt buy da album. cuz they blak n aint on dat nigga shyt. Da greatest poet alive!
WOW! @ "let us make man in our image, spit it- I'm Huey P in Louie V at the eulogy throwing molotov's for Emmit" he says stuff like this all the time that goes over people's heads so they say "nas is an ok rapper"...HA!...do ya'll understand how deep that line is?!...wow................................Even more powerful "I'm the shakey hand that touched George Forman in Ziare, same hand that punched down devils that brought down the towers"
whats up with people comparing J. cole and nas. first it was j. cole and drake now this........look j. cole is J.COLE and Nas will always be NAS. there is no comparison because they are two DIFFERENT artists. and cole is nowhere near overrated as an artist because if he was "who dat" would getting played every day instead of shit like "find your love".........yeah I said it, peace.
@MVD4MVP thats soo wrong they are two different artists and thats why we compare them no artist is exactly the same so your saying we shouldnt compare any rappers to eachother, everybodies different and thats why we compare them, and nas is better i said that.
i am always for the critic about this album.......
thats was with any doubt the best album of rap for the last 10 year but one more, the maintream has kill this marvelous piece of work, and nobody have a chance to really know how good this is!!!
@madhav110 yoo, eminem has totally fell off the past couple of years, After that piece of shit Encore came out, i stopped listening to him, but SSLP and MMLP are always going to be classics. He was a great mc, now he's a sell-out.
@Maradonarules10 hes not a sell out hes just rappin about his life hes 38 years old now really you think hes gonna stay rappin the same shit from 2000
@hot1fromnc To an extent you have a point. But there are still a variety of topics he can rap about other than the some of the stupid shit he raps about now. Ex. Crack a bottle, We made you, ect. And here's how he sold out. Back when he was good, the dude HATED all that pop shit that went around and he swore he would never turn to it.. who's he working with now? Lil' Wayne, Rihanna, Pink. like yo, thats some hypocrite shit. Also, the dude's lyrics aren't as tight as they were like in MMLP.
@Microphonechecka2 haha true!! "27 mc's put dem in alignment" + "now add 23 more from queens to b-more" = " 50(cent) porch monkeys ate up at the same time"....
@madhav110 thats what i mean, that day everyone was argueing with me saying eminem was the best. You guessed it these people only listening ro main stream rap so they dont have a clue. Nas is a poet and rap is poetry.
@planispoetry31 you gotta take that back j. cole is not even close to nas. . cole is overrrated im telling you in 2 years no one will be talking about him. nas has been arouind since 94. just saying.
@duddmeister Oh..... I forgot BIG, TuPac, Pun, 50, and many more..... None of them ever talked about rape..... right? Both are great in battles.... nuf said
i mean 50cent did got rich and die trying look at any albums after get rich he fell of not sales wise though but the albums were not that good and plus fif is no where near nas level as far as lyrics goes

This one I don't know if it has any bangers on it.
viperpulse 1 year ago
@viperpulse This album wasn't meant to have "bangers" on it. It's a concept album. Nas is trying to educate. He's completely on another level than 99% of rappers today, none of which would have the balls to put out an album like this in fear of hurting their image.

whats up with people comparing J. cole and nas. first it was j. cole and drake now this........look j. cole is J.COLE and Nas will always be NAS. there is no comparison because they are two DIFFERENT artists. and cole is nowhere near overrated as an artist because if he was "who dat" would getting played every day instead of shit like "find your love".........yeah I said it, peace.
MVD4MVP 1 year ago
@MVD4MVP thats soo wrong they are two different artists and thats why we compare them no artist is exactly the same so your saying we shouldnt compare any rappers to eachother, everybodies different and thats why we compare them, and nas is better i said that.

@madhav110 haha, yee, Eminem's pretty much done as an MC now. He's just another mainstream prick.
Maradonarules10 1 year ago
@madhav110 yoo, eminem has totally fell off the past couple of years, After that piece of shit Encore came out, i stopped listening to him, but SSLP and MMLP are always going to be classics. He was a great mc, now he's a sell-out.
Maradonarules10 1 year ago
@Maradonarules10 hes not a sell out hes just rappin about his life hes 38 years old now really you think hes gonna stay rappin the same shit from 2000
hot1fromnc 1 year ago
@hot1fromnc isnt he like 34
artace1987 1 year ago
@hot1fromnc To an extent you have a point. But there are still a variety of topics he can rap about other than the some of the stupid shit he raps about now. Ex. Crack a bottle, We made you, ect. And here's how he sold out. Back when he was good, the dude HATED all that pop shit that went around and he swore he would never turn to it.. who's he working with now? Lil' Wayne, Rihanna, Pink. like yo, thats some hypocrite shit. Also, the dude's lyrics aren't as tight as they were like in MMLP.
