  • This album doesnt get enough recognition. In my opinion, its lyrical ability is equal to illmatic. The subject matter is not something i always want to go back to and repeat but lyrically, untouchable. Classic Nas, everyone needs to hear this album.

  • My favorite rapper.

Best to ever do it without a doubt

Its sad how people dont take time to listen to this album instead they listen to that wack radio shit

  • Jay Electronica ghost wrote this for Nas....yeah I said it.....and if you know hip hop....you can tell why im saying this.....

  • @DjComplex72 idiot

  • @DjComplex72 lol jay wishes he was on Nas's level

  • Nas got super Grammy hoed, fuck a Tha Carter III.

  • Hip-hop was aborted

So Nas breathes life, back into the embryo

  • He is not a slave so how did he get whip marks on his back?

  • @Hellokhrumface Photoshop my friend....

  • @Hellokhrumface some computer program?

  • i'm a bastard, getting where i want to be faster, whilst you be going backwards, my bodies too responsive to all of these distractions, we need words not actions, my minds got different sanctions, i wont shift not even a fraction, but i deliver with vocabuary, my notepad is my santuary, try inform these people factually, and actually you dont think i kill this boy you silly, mixed feelings so resuts my vary, *MY VERSION OF QUEENS GET THE MONEY! • Queens get da Money, niggas still screamin Paper Chasin

While Presidental Canidates is plannin Wars with other Nations

Over steaks wit "MASONS"- Nas been tryna Tell us the truth Real shit

  • I'm a new 16 year old rapper! Check out my version of QUEENS GET THE MONEY on MY CHANNEL, I speak about real stuff like Nas, Fuck Lil Wayne! SUSCRIBE :)

  • @Fouadonthemic Shit, I did the same exact dub, im 16 too, check my shit

  • Now add 23 more from Queens to B-More, I'm over their heads, LIKE A BULIMIC ON A SEE-SAW.

    Nas, I love you.

  • My assignment since he said retirement

Hiding behind 8 Mile and The Chronic

    Gets rich but dies rhyming

A nice diss at 50 Cent.

Nas thinks that 50 is supported by “Mr. Chronic” (aka Dr. Dre; The Chronic was Dre’s first album), and “Mr. 8 Mile” (8 Mile is where Eminem is from in Detroit)

Of course, 50 already has plenty of money.. but his rhymes are dead (play on the name of 50’s breakthrough album, Get Rich or Die Tryin

  • @boondocksfan

    No need to explain lol

  • @TheIntuitionist20 I just thought that shit was hot bro, jeez lol

  • apple commercial?

  • You know, it's just in my opinion, Queens respectively has the best rappers from NY.

Nas, (Prodigy + Havoc of Mobb Deep) Capone n' Noreaga, Cormega, Trajedy Khadafi, Run-DMC, LL cool J, and in all honesty, 50 cent and lloyd banks aren't that bad too.

  • Queens is the hip hop capital in my eyes.

  • RIDGEWOOD QUEENS !!

  • TheMarkOfJ Baby!

  • @shurikenmasta his minions have arrived!

  • the sad thing is that no average person rly listens to lyrics...

  • MOST UNDERATED NAS JOINT EVER!

  • I hope all you niggas sayin nas is this and that, i hope you at least black me and my niggas what all yall wack asses wish you was.....BLACK notice the lashes on his black for niggas only thats what he sayin in the song

  • I didnt know Jay produced

  • Gets rich but dies rhyming! - Nas on 50! HAH!

  • Yoooo just droping by to show love and to let you know a bit about the LETHAL MCZ. We're an up and coming hip hop movement from Miami. We just droped a new remix to Nas's HERO. Open your ears for our 2 cents and let us know what you think. Subscribe and comment for feed back. Much Love and God Bless

  • not a single drum pattern or bass hit in the whole song, and yet its still beautiful, hats off to the NAS and JAY Electronica for constantly pushing the boundries for the genre we know as HIP HOP

  • Everybody is entilted to there own opinion. Mine happens to be that Nas is one of the greatest of all time.

  • Nas has been around since '91. Before Tech. Don't get me wrong, Tech is one of my all time favorites but Nas is my Number 1! And no matter who comes in the game in the last remaining years of my life, Nas is still my Number 1! He's the realest and can write a story and publish it better and faster than Stephen King.

  • 718

  • Man stfu Nas would shit on anyone you know kid

  • Nas is good but he ain't the greatest..

  • @iskateSowat101 thats debatable

    Nas can be the greatest

Illmatic and his verse from Live at the bbq when he was only 17 has a lot of proof that he can be the greatest

Nas is viewed as one of the best lyricist to ever live in hip hop history......and he's been rapping since 1991 to today!

Nas can very well be the greatest

  • @ThumbsUpMike Naw I've heard way sicker shit.

  • @iskateSowat101 well who's sicker than Nas that you know?

im not trying to prove you wrong or anything cuz Nas is really amazing to me and if you say someone's sicker.....then i really wanna hear some of those rappers

  • @ThumbsUpMike Tech N9ne, Eyedea and Abilities, Wu-Tang Clan, Immortal technique Well I like them more than I like Nas but theres halla other sick rappers out there you just have to look.

  • @iskateSowat101 everyone knows wu-tang clan and immortal

immortal isnt better than Nas to me cuz he's only talking about conspiracy theories......im not against what he says and he represents them amazingly and is always on point! but it gets tiring after awhile

Tech N9NE is dope, but lyrically he doesnt have that much of an impact like Nas does to me

I can never find people that have that lyrical amazement that Nas brings, except for like Rakim

  • @ThumbsUpMike Aight well whatever floats your boat brotha In my opinion Method man is a way better lyricist than Nas. And Techs been in the game waaaaayyyyyy longer than Nas and Immortal Technique well personaly I think he would kill Nas in a rap battle. And Inspectah Deck from Wu-Tang I think he has way better lyrics too. I guess it all depends on what you like better.

  • @iskateSowat101 Meth is clever/witty with his shit but that's about it, when he can pen songs like, Silent Murder,Take it In Blood, Memory Lane, Stay Chiseled, Star Wars just to name a few then we can talk, Meth dosen't have Nas's level or depth of lyricsim neither does he have the scope Nas has, not even close

  • @iskateSowat101 well all the rappers you mentions are great! and no one can have hate against them!

I find Nas's lyrics best cuz what he raps about I can relate to it and if I was rapper, he takes the direction I would take on what he raps about

  • @iskateSowat101 yo how old r u b? lol 12? method man a better lyricist then nas?? lmao. dont get me wrong meth is made dope but what r u smokin g??? immortal been in the game longer then nas lol fuck u sayin nas been in the game since 91 nas birthed immortal techniques style and every single rapper today when he dropped illmatic.

  • @nycolombian91 I was talking about Tech N9ne not Immortal Technique Nas don't even rap anymore.

  • @iskateSowat101 wut u talkin bout nas doesnt rap anymore? he dropped an album a few months ago and underground singles here and there. hes been droppin albums consistently. just cause you dont hear him on the radio doesnt mean he doesnt rap

  • They stampeding the True Messenger to the Blackman thru spousal support.

  • @matrixmaster79 That's what alot of these haters don't realize fam, that whole shit is strickly an attack to muzzle the god

  • Damn, wish I hadn't learned that this was a diss. I liked it alot more before.

  • @ArbyWanKenobi

Who is this a diss to?

  • @dewayne408 50 Cent, apparently they've been going at it.

  • @dewayne408 50 Cent, apparently 50 called him out.

  • thise go so hard!

  • Comment removed

  • THIS SOUNDS LIKE A DOCUMENTARY WITH NO VISUALS. NAS IS BRILLIANT.

  • this just might be better than the stillmatic intro

  • Take 27 mc's put em all in line(eminem line) and they outta alignment. MY ASSIGNMENT since he said retirement(jay z). HIDIN BEHIND 8 Mile and the CHRONIC(DRE). Get Rich But Dies Rhymin(50).

    Nasty NASdaq

Yall gon bow homes, its Dow Jones

  • @ll2nycell no, that whole part is just a 50 diss, "my assignment since he said retirement." is referring to when 50 said he was gonna retire if kanye's album sold more than his. The only reason why 50 gets any credit is because he works with eminem and dre, and relies on dre beats and em's features to make a hit record. That's what hidin behind 8 mile and the chronic means. He wouldnt diss em or dre for no reason.

  • Amen.

  • What about the it was written intro? No doubt that its up there with one of the most memorable intros of hip hop of alltime

  • He was and will always be my brother even tho he don't know me, when I needed guidance I never speak to mom or dad or any of my elders I pop in one of my Nas tapes or CD's. I am 30 now and his music has made me more brilliant than any school ever will because he thought me to use one skill no book will ever teach, is your critical thinking skills. If they really say God was a teacher then Nas was my teacher, I don't believe in anything I can't see. Nasir is our Ghandi, X and JFK...

  • sad that you couldnt go get yourself an education

  • @ckondiah he is not comparable to ghandi nor jfk...hes good but he is not of that caliber...better yet dont group ghandi with jfk.....wtf dude...wtf

  • @ckondiah I love Nas too but your going mad hard for chill out.

  • @ckondiah taught**

you need a new teacher and you definitely need to go to school

  • @ckondiah i love nas, but that is disgraceful bullshit

  • @ckondiah Cool Story Bro

  • @ckondiah You cant say that man. Yes Nas is a teacher but who did he learn from to b a teacher even Nas believes in God. If u see Nas's history he learned the bible and african history making him more special. All this fake nigaz this days speak about booty miss educating the youth. They r still slaves even though great ppl died for their freedom. The best thing about Nas is he is educated about God makin him to smart for dis Coorporate bastards. He can see through them dats y we appreciate him

  • @ckondiah He didn't teach you grammar, did he? Your a fucking idiot i bet you flip McMuffins at MickyD's for a living. Go get a degree you bum.

  • @ckondiah why dont you just blow him already?

  • @ckondiah You know Nas was and is an avid reader? You don't have to go school to get deep into books...matter fact school will give you a western eurocentric perspective on the world. Books contain knowledge and if you read certain ones they can change your perspective on life. Books are excellent resources to develop critical thinking skills.

  • hmm is it really the best intro? others are DMX's intro to his debut, Stillmatic intro, even the Genesis (Illmatic). etc

  • Its the intro but it's my favorite song off the album

  • Should have let Jay Elect jump on this(rap), and Nas was saw Jay Elect talent's before Jay-Z did.

  • this is a good 50 diss

  • ... while presidential canidates are planning wars with other nations over stake with masons... Nas is revealing the truth.

  • i did not kno jay e was also a producer, jus thought he was a mc. Realy impressive his beats are ill, it sounds like a j dilla beat, realy dope. I need to cop this album, been meanin to get it but jus been lazy to go out.

  • @The1hoodrich87 its prod by Jay Electronica...good shit tho

  • @The1hoodrich87 about that last reply....thats what i get for skimmin a comment lol my bad homie

  • @The1hoodrich87 yeah really interesting how a rapper can produce sometimes too. jay elec looped this and he looped eternal sunshine too

  • without Nas hip hop is truely dead

  • ayy man i see people arguing over irrelavant bullshit man listen to the lyrics thats what its about, presidential candidates planning wars with other nations, over steak with masons, the same hand the punch down devils that brought down the towers. LISTEN!

  • Jay Electronica on the beat how real is that

  • 0:23 - Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.

  • @bsmyn0708 acctually im sorry for the previous comment i looked up some of 50's old shit from the mixtape guess whoback and his album before that and yeah he was pretty good but all his mainstream shit sucks dick. I know most of them rappers are past they prime but you can stiill listen to their sick tunes

  • @bsmyn0708

50 cent is garbage. "Gets rich but dies rhyming" =truth

  • @bsmyn0708 50 destroy nas? rah put down the crack pipe. why do you want this to be 'gangsta' 50 cent not even a gangsta he just a wannabe pussyhole that apeals to five year olds. Nas is a lyrical king! if you want gangsta rap search NWA, Biggie, early dre, wu tang, ice cube, pac etc not your 50 cent shit

  • @Buzzman182 i agree w/ everything except ice cube. cuz sometimes ice cube spits ignorant shit. he made a song called black korea nd totally fuked up the image of korea for a lot of those who understood the song. it actually became a problem. half of the shit he said was ignorant bs. plus he tried 2 get on the bet cypher this yr (btw i didnt think he was that good....) im assuming etc. refers to guys like Big L, eazy-E, nd a bunch of other underground or forgotten artists.

  • @Buzzman182 Get the fuck outta here their aint no classic 50

Nas is a fuckin legend 50 will never be at his level

  • @instherebel8 dickhead read my previous comments i stated how nas is a lyrical genious ad would destroy 50 and then sme dude started sayin classic 50 would destroy nas i checked out his old stuff it was lright but nothig compared to nas. Read before you type

  • @Buzzman182 i dnt got time to read stupid shit

lets all shut the fuck up and enjoy the music

  • @instherebel8 i agree with shuttin the fuck up and listenin to thwe music but you obviously did read it but read it wrong and the you caught a dodge

  • @Buzzman182

    You tell em.

  • @jmjfanss safe g

  • @bsmyn0708 lamest joke ever, why do you even go to a Nas video when you like bubblegum rap

  • @bsmyn0708 lol you must be the only one in here that thinks that, you dumb fuck

  • Pregnant teens give birth to intelligent gangsters/They daddies faceless/Play this by ya stomach/Let my words massage it and rub it/I’ll be his daddy if there’s nobody there to love it- Nas Wow

  • This is going to sound blasphemic, but this song is by far my favorite Nas track...ever!!! This album came out back in 08, and from the day it dropped to now (and probably forever) it feels perfect.

Jay Electronica did his thing on this production. It truly lays the prime pallet for Nas to paint his masterpiece. I can't imagine ANYONE else over this kind of sound.

  • nas

    through all his work

has made one song that can give anyone chills at any moment

    this is that song

  • this song is 217x better than anything that will ever be put on the radio.

  • This gives me chills down my spine

  • this album is called nigger!

  • @imortaltechniqueVEVO nigga wtf??so?? if you weren't being an uncle tomyou'd see the symbolism he's trying to eliminate the negativity of it....

  • @deadly6havoc oh no, i wasnt trying to sound like i was insulted by the title, i just said that so people who dont know the real title know it.

  • @imortaltechniqueVEVO ohh... my oppologies for assaulting you then...

  • @deadly6havoc haha, were all "distant relatives" so its ok

  • Yeah Nas is the best. But this album is like Jay-Z Def Jam peace record label album. It's different than the rest of his catalogue, trust me I've got all his albums except this one cuz it's different. Hip Hop is Dead was a lil different too but it had some bangers on it like "Money Over Bullshit". This one I don't know if it has any bangers on it.

  • @viperpulse This album wasn't meant to have "bangers" on it. It's a concept album. Nas is trying to educate. He's completely on another level than 99% of rappers today, none of which would have the balls to put out an album like this in fear of hurting their image.

  • This brings a tear to my fucking eye.

  • ay yo! Queenz get da money! but da world iz 2 stupid 2 hear dis ryte now. datz y they didnt buy da album. cuz they blak n aint on dat nigga shyt. Da greatest poet alive!

  • WOW! @ "let us make man in our image, spit it- I'm Huey P in Louie V at the eulogy throwing molotov's for Emmit" he says stuff like this all the time that goes over people's heads so they say "nas is an ok rapper"...HA!...do ya'll understand how deep that line is?!...wow................................Even more powerful "I'm the shakey hand that touched George Forman in Ziare, same hand that punched down devils that brought down the towers"

  • iLL

  • I'm white and I can't relate to this song, I never grew up in a ghetto or called anyone "nigga" so I tend to listen to Nujabes

  • whats up with people comparing J. cole and nas. first it was j. cole and drake now this........look j. cole is J.COLE and Nas will always be NAS. there is no comparison because they are two DIFFERENT artists. and cole is nowhere near overrated as an artist because if he was "who dat" would getting played every day instead of shit like "find your love".........yeah I said it, peace.

  • @MVD4MVP thats soo wrong they are two different artists and thats why we compare them no artist is exactly the same so your saying we shouldnt compare any rappers to eachother, everybodies different and thats why we compare them, and nas is better i said that.

  • @JaLomangino no I dont. thanks for you input. peace

  • @MVD4MVP idk where YOU be @ but "who dat" is always played, shit atleast I'm forever hearing

  • Damn He Can Take The Shittiest Beat And Make An Amazing Song

  • @jarod1432

this beat is actually appropriate to the lyrics and the song theme.

u don't need abeat to be a good rapper, but u do to be a rapper who makes alot of money

  • @jarod1432 dude, this beat gives me chills man, when nas raps over it

  • does anyone no what album this is

  • @lmao08857 Untitled

  • this song gave me the chills when i listen...especailly how he ends it...AND I LIVE IN B-MORE

  • I'm the shaky hand that touched Geogre Foreman in Zaire

The same hand that punched down devils that brought down the towers

you need to understand what muhammad ali said when people were hating on muslims for the 9/11 attack, and then can you understand what Nas is saying

  • I don't know. Maybe it's just me. But the beat sounds like the Trolly Train thing from Mr. Rogers. This beat is tough. Nas is ill as hell

  • i am always for the critic about this album.......

thats was with any doubt the best album of rap for the last 10 year but one more, the maintream has kill this marvelous piece of work, and nobody have a chance to really know how good this is!!!

  • @madhav110 lol its true his new cd is ok but hes done

  • @madhav110 haha, yee, Eminem's pretty much done as an MC now. He's just another mainstream prick.

  • @madhav110 yoo, eminem has totally fell off the past couple of years, After that piece of shit Encore came out, i stopped listening to him, but SSLP and MMLP are always going to be classics. He was a great mc, now he's a sell-out.

  • @Maradonarules10 hes not a sell out hes just rappin about his life hes 38 years old now really you think hes gonna stay rappin the same shit from 2000

  • @hot1fromnc isnt he like 34

  • @hot1fromnc To an extent you have a point. But there are still a variety of topics he can rap about other than the some of the stupid shit he raps about now. Ex. Crack a bottle, We made you, ect. And here's how he sold out. Back when he was good, the dude HATED all that pop shit that went around and he swore he would never turn to it.. who's he working with now? Lil' Wayne, Rihanna, Pink. like yo, thats some hypocrite shit. Also, the dude's lyrics aren't as tight as they were like in MMLP.

  • UNCOMPROMISING... RELENTLESS...Beautiful poetry

  • Nas is a poet. This is art, 50 cant fuck with this

  • @Microphonechecka2 Don't you think 50 knows that?

  • @Microphonechecka2 No one can fuck with this.

  • @Microphonechecka2 haha true!! "27 mc's put dem in alignment" + "now add 23 more from queens to b-more" = " 50(cent) porch monkeys ate up at the same time"....

  • @heraldsson lol that shit went probably over 50s head

  • @Microphonechecka2 like a bulimic on a seesaw

  • @Microphonechecka2 HOT TRACC

  • He took a shot at 50.. very slicckkk

  • @Jerkyboy2169 i didnt catch the part where he took the shot a 50 what did he say?

  • @daniel42490 Take 27 Mc’s put them in line and they out of alignment/

My assignment says he said retirement/

Hididng behind the 8Mile & The Chronic/Get Rich but dies Rhyming/

    This is hot science/

Now add 23 more for Queens to B-More/im over their heads

    Like a bulimic on a seesaw/

Now thats 50 porch monkeys ate up at the same time/

Nasty Nasdaq, yall gon bow homes in style jones

  • @YoungPoleInOldReekie fuck up and fuck aff

  • I feel like he's speaking to me

  • The number 1 best intro to a rap album in hip hop history !!

  • @jonesvrnc be by commons better

  • @jonesvrnc #1 was the genesis

  • @daunrealist3 I kinda agree.

  • only the best from Nas AND JAY ELECTRONICA PRODUCING

  • @madhav110 thats what i mean, that day everyone was argueing with me saying eminem was the best. You guessed it these people only listening ro main stream rap so they dont have a clue. Nas is a poet and rap is poetry.

  • There will never be another nas in this lifetime

  • @TheMrRuiz95 There can be....but the industry wont allow that....Nas is dangerous enough to their agendas:/

  • @TheMrRuiz95 Look up J.Cole If you havent heard... He's the new Nas

  • @planispoetry31 you gotta take that back j. cole is not even close to nas. . cole is overrrated im telling you in 2 years no one will be talking about him. nas has been arouind since 94. just saying.

  • @artace1987 actually since 91, first album was released in 94

  • I see heads hating on this album, are they listening to what Iam. This album is dope!

  • Can eminem even compare!? No because he raps about rape.

  • @duddmeister Oh..... I forgot BIG, TuPac, Pun, 50, and many more..... None of them ever talked about rape..... right? Both are great in battles.... nuf said

  • best track off the album....ILL

good job on the beat jay electronica

  • Comment removed
