@turnfootsherlock what do you mean by taking land? do you know anything about Jamaica? are you even a Jamaican because if you were then you would know about Jamaican history. Our ancestors along with the Chinese,German,Irish,Scottish were bring to Jamaica as cheap worker slave after slavery abolish. The ex slave did not want to work back in 1845 to 1921 learn the history of Jamaica. that's why our is motto is "Out of many one People"
@turnfootsherlock - what do you mean the new east indians want to take our land, the land belong to GOD & anybody who work hard for it. East Indians have been in & out of Jamaica since 1845! And correction, the so-called 'new' east indians do not "TAKE".....i believe they work dyam hard for everything them get, them dont trouble anybody. So what do you have to be so concerned about them for, if anything they contributing towards our ecomony, no offense mi fren but you can't be talking like that.
@ all you ignoramuses especially GTVEVEMAN, all indian music originates from india, and this particular song I believe was sung by Babla & Kanchan who were from India, but exploited soca music. At the end of the day there is no Guyanese that can speak gramatical hindi like an Indian from India, so stop goin on like guyese songs are sung in proper hindi, I have whole heap of indian fren from india that say the guyanese dont know weh di blood claat dem a chat bout in a fi dem music. lol.
@Ms Mohamed 1 I find no problem with reading singing from a book. It is much better than doing nothing at all or singing from u head and getting the wordsmixed up. I think you should remove your comment. it is hurting to me.
@MsMohamed1 Just had to say that not because she's reading the lyrics from a book it means she has no idea what she's singing. While I agree many Indians whether their from Trini/Guyana/Surinam or Jamaica may no speak hindi/bhojpuri or fully understand it I do believe that many of them keep up our Indian customs and traditions.
nice upload, its nice to see that our culture is still up kept after all our ancestors had to go through, and hope other indian migrants can learn from them. keep it up...
@MsMohamed1 The reason I uploaded Indo-Jamaicans singing a chutney version of a song is because I wanted the media to experience the musical diversity amongst Indo-Jamaicans. Keep in mind, not all individuals are lost.
@GTVEVEMAN There is no where on this upload that I stated this song is originally created on Jamaican soil. But I did stress that the song is performed live by Indo-Jamaicans.
