  • It doesn't matter which country they are from. They are all innocent children who are unfortunate enough to be born into this life where their mothers are sex workers. Nobody takes pity on them and only condems them as anak haram. What if you were born into this life without as choice. We should all be more compassionate.

  • RARE Malaysian street children. MOSTYLY FROM INDON AND POLIPIN MIGRAN KIDS. INDON AND POLIPIN FLOODING KIDS.

  • Fuck all the foreigners who know shit. Malaysians are not rich? are u retarded? 2 Malaysians are in the top 50 Billionaire list. One of them doubled their wealth from 7 billion to 14 billion dollars in under a year. So fuck off!! uneducated people who dont know shit should shut the fuck up.

  • anyone of u help this children?...:)

  • this is the problem w/ malaysian govt n ppl. if ur cant share the earnings of sabah n borneo($10billion/year) to the sulus n mindanaon ppl, at least help those in street children. how can u sleep at night w/ your stomach full? u are the nearest neighbor- you are responsible to help those less fortunate. govt can do more but citizens can also do little bit. show the beauty of Islam and ull prosper more. dont be scared ur wealth will reduce. what wud u answer in DAY OF JUDGEMENT?

  • malaysia is shit as well as islam

  • Don't think these kids are all immigrant offspring. I've gone to these centres and majority are Malays (which says a lot about the keris waving politicians screaming Malay supremacy and birthright, etc etc etc ad nauseam get off your self-made pedestals and do something for YOUR people, not just investors). Some kids can't go to school because if you have no "official" father in your birth cert - you'll find that our education system doesn't consider them worthy of a seat in a classroom.

  • True I agree with you mate... it seems the "malays" are licking the arabs ass... Especilaly the God-damned Saudi investors..... I feel sorry for those unfortunate urban malays..

  • Oh by the way, i am malay myself...lol.....

  • agree they is from indonesia poor !!!!!

  • and you, oh prejudiced ignorant one, are apparently too poor to get enough English lessons to even string a sentence right. Before you show your ignorance and asinine logic -- try to get yourself schooled. I hope you're not Malaysian. If you are - bukak mata sikit bro, jangan memandai tak bertempat. buat malu kita je.

  • add to the solution not to the problem. Make sure that these children do not become sex workers themselves rather than just complaining about it.

You won't get anything done by being conservative like that. You wouldn't let a drug addict to die on the streets without at least putting them through rehab first, right?

  • Instead of complaining about it like a normal conservative, people should actually spend more time adding to the solution by going out there and educating these children so that they don't become sex workers themselves.

Don't be conservative and not help them at all. You wouldn't leave a drug addict to die on the streets without putting them through rehab first, right?

  • Not Say THis is malaysian actualy most of them is not malaysian most of them come from indonesian philipno thailand like that

  • adoi. what are you saying ah? we don't understand. can try to use spellcheck next time? an english teacher? a friend who went to school? maybe you can participate more effectively when you can get your ignorance across more clearly with sentences that make sense. god i hope you're not one of those bumis the gov't wasted money sending abroad.

  • this was directed to akinadik07 and the other halfwit jokers whose minds are as small as the bars are low for bumis to get that free ride through life.

  • the government will only help the muslim malays. we non malays have to fend for ourselves

  • what a selfish policy!

  • This happens everywhere all over the world and Malaysia is no acception, and to BLUEGREENPINK...take a chill pill, grow up!

  • this goes to show for those malaysian idoits who say their country is rich but isn't even RICH.

    this video are for you.

  • disgrace on the so called Muslim gov there...and disgrace to even imagine a muslim country doing such thing and no1 willing 2 stand up against it.

  • To DRQC,

Malaysia's absolute poverty is the 2nd lowest in ASEAN .For a city of 1 million, 500 street children is small. But this does not mean we are ignorant of our social problems. I applaud the gov. for supporting such programs.I hope this will be replicated in other states especially in Sabah where there are many Filipino street children.

You may Google Yayasan Salam if u wanna volunteer for their programs.

  • Maylasia is mostly muslim, who is enabeling these hookers?

  • i wonder what 'take your kids to work' day is like

  • dont flame, only a joke

  • It's Bush's fault.

  • hey guys, this is what we call malaysia truly asia!

  • What strikes me is that the conservative Muslims are saying "the sex trade is bad, if we are supporting these kids we are telling the mothers it is ok", but what are *they* doing to stop the sex trade from happening? When Anita talks about how that is the only way she can support her son, that explains all really.

Why are they not doing something like opening community centres to educate the women and help them find jobs and giving them financial support?

  • They are, sex workers are given as much support from the same projects as the children are. they are provided with health care, councilling and other forms of support. Offering the children support does not send signals to the mothers that it is okay at all. The two things are completely seperate.

  • chilledandy, I was not saying that offering support to children would tell mothers it was ok to be in the business, merely asking why the conservate muslims who think that it is so will only criticise what is being done, and not try to help at the root of the problem.

  • It seems that yanlunziyou and abacus470 would rather that this subject was swept under the carpet and not mentioned. Congratulations to Alzajeera for bringing it up and hopefully it will help some of these children find a better life.

  • Agreed. There are issues relevant to our region that deserve some attention/note/awareness which may not fit the CNN or BBC's scope on what constitutes news and features. Not to say that other news networks don't care - but Al Jazeera brings more issues from my region reported in a less "controlled" and definitely less "moralistic" style from the heavily regulated local media.

  • I agreed with abacus470 - the story line is just like CNN, BBC, reporting. I expected Aljazeera to produce something different. In the early years, Aljazeera was really different and their reporting impressed me. However, in recent months I spent less time watching Alzajeera channel because it is almost like watching CNN, BBC channels.

  • it seems wrong to judge the children by their parents actions and deny them a chance to be something else... and for that matter, I am sure many of those mothers would love to take up a different occupation if it were available...

  • Aljazeera's losing it. the station sounds almost exactly like CNN.

  • Shame on Malaysia.

Even their much poorer regional neighbours do more

to alleviate the homeless street-child problem.

  • These kids are the future. There should be a better way to solve this. Otherwise, it's futile.

  • Not really. Did you see any Muslim majority countries helping when those tsunamis struck? Nope..because it was Allah's "will" that they were struck.

  • salam....peace

i am a malaysian and sad to hear this. i believed that this exist but still rare.however the important thing is that it should not be happening in malaysia.period
