Surely the E comes from Carreras
1) He hit the Eb in a duet with caballe
2) The tong and mouth position of Pavarotti can't give out an E here.
3) Domingo does not have the E.

Yes and the end,Jose close the moth when the notes gone!And they said to him, Bravo Jose,but if people don`t want to see that, ican`t help.

the high note ends when Carreras swings his head down, it has the typical slow Carreras vibrato, Pavarotti pats Carreras on the back, Mehta tell him "that's better than during the concert," and you still think its Pavarotti.
