And Playback.. In my time it was with vinyl, and the sets where already prepared... Something i always hated!!!

The platter screen actually does look like it’s on 1 frame before the uploaded pauses the vid. Try mixing in the sunlight, you can’t see the screen or platter display. The light reflecting off the “shiny” plastic over the screens will easily make it look like there’s nothing on them. in this case, shitty camera and club lighting will easily cause this!!
if the person was not dumb who posted this video he would have done what i have a looked carefully and noticed that in fact both jog wheels are on and its the way it is shot on the cam if you look at a pair of cdj from that position they will look off dew to the raised platter but freezing the film at the second clearly shows the jogs on freeze the shot at 0:27 and if you look you can see the white ring yeah it is faint but its there

he's having events almost every week in whole year, who wouldn't play on playback, other djs dont fake it because they have less events. On shows they dont need all that work with connecting and its broadcasting thru television, why would he use his decks, it would be worse sound since it still need to be broadcasted on TV. Its just pretending for the audience and TV watchers. Connecting all wires and stuff for a minute of TV show, why? thats why its turned off, etc..
And for example minute 1:05 I got the same CDJS the lights in the circles of play and cue are turned on it is kind of difficult to see but they are in the orange n green color. @FckFakeDJ Fyi, The CDJ1000 doesn't have a jog wheel light and the CDJ1000MK3 has gray rings with lights behind, not the colored plastic from other models. However, I still agree that they're probably off; especially the mixer. Even if the camera was really really bad, you'd still be able to see the 4 or 6 blue lights on the far left which control the color knobs. Shit is off.

I don't rate Guetta as a DJ or Producer at all, but you can tell that the cdjs & mixer are turned on if the as someone mentioned the lighting and angle make the lights alot harder to see.
On the stills you can clearly see the green ring & orange ring around the cue and play button but most of all the you can see the two loop buttons in orange on the cdj more clear, also the mic is connected through the mixer and thats obviously working.

@revenantprime That could have been possible, but the problem stays. Why turning down the volume of channel 1 if no CD was in the CD-Player1? (look at the left jog : it's empty => no CD) I never said he fakes all the time, but he should have not fake it while he was filmed.
Umm.....those CD decks are turned on. I can see the screen lit up above the wheel. Since there's a bright spotlight on him, it completely washes out any light coming from the buttons, reducing the contrast. The screens are clearly illuminated though.
I'm not a fan of Guetta, but this is a clear case of haters be hatin'.

An guetta was on the stage for 2 hours... he has had an ipod turned into one channel.. and none of the players were on.. just one player out of 4 with acapellas! And before the official video went thru... Guetta guys censured stage tape.. guetta was seen only from the front and not directly from the stage!

he's having events almost every week in whole year, who wouldn't play on playback, other djs dont fake it because they have less events. On shows they dont need all that work with connecting and its broadcasting thru television, why would he use his decks, it would be worse sound since it still need to be broadcasted on TV. Its just pretending for the audience and TV watchers. Connecting all wires and stuff for a minute of TV show, why? thats why its turned off, etc..

And for example minute 1:05 I got the same CDJS the lights in the circles of play and cue are turned on it is kind of difficult to see but they are in the orange n green color. When they are turned of they are gray. And it was recorded with a bad camera dude. YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID! but whatever i don't like david guetta -.-

@Dimitrancelive Nope. The color of the cue and play button are red & green. At 1:05, they are off but still red & green because of the nightclubs lights. But look at the jog and the screen of the CD-Player : both are off => the CD-player are definitely off.

@FckFakeDJ Fyi, The CDJ1000 doesn't have a jog wheel light and the CDJ1000MK3 has gray rings with lights behind, not the colored plastic from other models. However, I still agree that they're probably off; especially the mixer. Even if the camera was really really bad, you'd still be able to see the 4 or 6 blue lights on the far left which control the color knobs. Shit is off.

you can see it for a second someewhere around 1:04 that the blue light is definitely on .. I do understand your arguments and at the first sight I also thought it was turned off but if you look closer you see it's not

I don't rate Guetta as a DJ or Producer at all, but you can tell that the cdjs & mixer are turned on if the as someone mentioned the lighting and angle make the lights alot harder to see.
On the stills you can clearly see the green ring & orange ring around the cue and play button but most of all the you can see the two loop buttons in orange on the cdj more clear, also the mic is connected through the mixer and thats obviously working.

Not conclusive at all. Maybe he was turning down the volume on channel 1 before he loaded a song on it so that the audio didn't come through? There are plenty of plausible explanations.
I despise Guetta for his excessive pandering to mainstream audiences but the man can definitely DJ. You think he could survive for 20+ years in this business without ever being able to DJ (he started djing in his teens, he's 44 now)? He wasn't always super famous.

@revenantprime That could have been possible, but the problem stays. Why turning down the volume of channel 1 if no CD was in the CD-Player1? (look at the left jog : it's empty => no CD) I never said he fakes all the time, but he should have not fake it while he was filmed.

Umm.....those CD decks are turned on. I can see the screen lit up above the wheel. Since there's a bright spotlight on him, it completely washes out any light coming from the buttons, reducing the contrast. The screens are clearly illuminated though.
I'm not a fan of Guetta, but this is a clear case of haters be hatin'.

to tired to argu about the first tape.. but I will say this about the second comparison where he is shown using the volume and touching something on the right hand deck.. this comparison doesn't prove hes a bad dj or faking it, at any moment He can be doing ANYTHING to JUST deck a, BOTH deck A/B, or JUST Deck B. When I dj, i'm adjusting levels of Both (or more if i have 3/4 channels, and i might be using a cue to sample the first kick or vocal coming in, looping, reversing, effecting...

An guetta was on the stage for 2 hours... he has had an ipod turned into one channel.. and none of the players were on.. just one player out of 4 with acapellas! And before the official video went thru... Guetta guys censured stage tape.. guetta was seen only from the front and not directly from the stage!

@LwOfilms I completely agree. He is unwarranted as the number 1 DJ in the world. His sugar pop "house" is a detriment to the image of true electronic music.
Having said that, he's not an idiot. I'm pretty sure he can handle DJing in front of a crowd... and knows how to manage something so basic as the volume faders. It's not like he is performing turntablist maneuvers or anything like A-Trak. He may be a crummy producer, but there's no way he is faking it.
