  • Extra thanks for addressing the archival nature of this technique. That kind of info is often very difficult to find.

  • very interesting!

  • you can use many differrent printers - the easiest way to check is to take a wet cloth and rub the print- if the ink bleeds easily then it will not work! if it doesn't then it will probably be fine

  • can I use an inkjet print for this to work? Thanks.

  • Can I use an inkjet print for this to work?

  • hi it is Matisse medium MM7 polymer gloss varnish

  • Good instruction. Could write the name of liquid transfer?...I can't read the brand in the bottle.

  • Darn good instruction. Thank you.

  • nice

  • hi. if the color is not light fast, what do u advice to paint over it to fasten the color? will a coat or two of clear gell be good for that? thanks

  • sorry there however there is no real way to make something light fast other than to keep it out of direct sunlight!

  • Will this work on tile?

  • yes it shoudl be fine on a tile ....however only for decorative purposes - you couldn't use the tiles for a bench top

  • I have been trying to find you all over Youtube!!!!!

  • You know what I think I like about this is it's a little like a polaroid transfer without the film, without figuring how to make that machine I have take a slide.....

  • Would this work with color photographs?

  • It will not work with a photograph however you can colour photocopy the photograph and use that- the varnish "sucks up" the ink - so there must be ink present on the image you use

  • Hello! thanks for the vid. really cool if can get it to work. i have a quick question for you. after three to four coats of the polymer gloss varnish and set to dry over night i still cant seem to seperate the paper and the varnish? Are my coats to thin? How thick of the varnish should each coat be? Thanks!!

  • the resultant layer of varnish needs to be quite thick - thicker than "cling wrap" for instance-you may need to let it soak in the water for some time - a few hours - before it softens the paper up enough that it is easy to get off

  • Hey! thanks for the video! have been looking for a product like this for quite sometime...I just got some Matisse products last week, hope the same place stocks this stuff too...

just a quick question, will this work on a porcelain surface?? (a flat white dish to be more precise)

    Thanks in Advance!

  • there is no reason it will not stick to porcelain -however only as a decorative finish-you could not use it on say a dinner plate (which is used all the time)
