I am an RN and I personally don't think this video is a good idea.  There is a lot more to giving an injection than this video. I also noticed the technique was not completely sterile as it should be. I wouldn't want anyone to see this and think they can be giving B 12 shots (or any other) to just anyone because they saw it on youtube.

That was a great informative video. The only things i noticed were that you touched rhe needle to too many surfaces (paper towel was a big no-no) and that you didn't show how you exactly found the correct loction on your thigh.

I never searched YT FOR B12 and this page was recomended by YT. i been shooting B12 for a long time once a week. I use a 3ml 25G 5/8 needle and shoot SC OR IM. I was born deficient and alcohol will make you deficient too.

I've been doing the B12 shots for 5 weeks now for a B12 deficiency (I inject once a week) and I've done 4 of my own shots, the doctors did my first one. One thing that helps me a lot with the medicine shooting out and the blood is right after I give myself the shot I put pressure on the area and massage it a little. This has helped me SOOOO much, I haven't had any problems with anything coming out. Not trying to tell you how to do your shot, just trying to maybe help you out. (NOT A MEDICAL PRO)

you are not supposed to touch "clean" the needle"... ever. The needle is sterile, once you touch it is considered contaminated, you need to start over..

Symptoms of B-12 deficiency and B-12-related anemia include: Feeling tired or weak  Pale appearance to the lining of lower eyelids Palpitations, fast or irregular heart beat. Faintness and breathlessness. Hair loss Bruising that occurs without reason Dizziness Long or unusually heavy menstrual periods

Incidentally, when you use an alcohol wipe, you should move it in a circular motion working from the center to the outside.

Are you aware that B-12 is supposed to go into the muscle? You need to at least use a 1 1/4' to 1 1/2" needle to reach the muscle. Also, you may want change the needle between drawing and injecting. Cleaning that needle with alcohol is VERY risky and it dulls the needle. Just get a box of single needles and put on a a new one before injecting.....YIKES!

@jackaab123 there is NO mixing of B12. B12 comes in a glass vial. U do not need a smaller needle unless you want one. It will take more times of injecting if you use smaller needles.

@PurrrectlyHcgMe I did NOT request a case. I order 16 packs and 10 packs is a case. They came in separate shipments. Each pack is 8 vials/ampoules. There is nothing wrong if you do the sublingual drops under your tongue. I personally liked the shots because of the delivery.

@justgranny45 I dont really know. I just know that it did stop my hair loss early on and gives me a lot more energy. Since it is water soluable, your body will flush out what you dont need. (I am not a doctor) Check with your doctor if you are concerned.

Great job! You can also twist the larger needle off an use a smaller one which you can get separately for anyone that doesn't deal well with needle. B12 does really help... I have given myself 1ml once a week for months. Thanks for all you do to inspire everyone!! XOXO... Donna
