Start and what do ya know, It worked, so I flew back to lav town and the "Mew" appears, except what it said was "missingno." I'm looking at it now, the type of pokemon it is, is flashing between the pic of an old man and something else, I dunno what it is, but it's lvl 7 like the Mew should be, I havent battled it yet, it's weird as...

Alright, so what happened was, I went to the old dude at lav town, went to that place, turns out I fought the youngster, so I didn't want to give up just there, I decided to try and find a way, I ended up going to the gym in saffron city to battle the telekenesis chick, and in the second room where you fight the 1st person to get to her, she had a slowpoke, a slowpoke and a slowbro, I thought it was weirdly convenient that they were assosciated in the glitch... So after the fight, I pressed/

can't you just beat everyone except him and then, go beside bridge catch abra. Then use guy beside bridge, walk up press start and teleport, then go fight the slowpoke guy, this way you don't have to wait until you get fly

I know another way, but its very similar... You just fight the guy at the start, but fly INSTANTLY over to lavender town, then go to the right where Joemommabob also went, and you should meet mew... I did it myself, but i don't know if it was just luck... Have fun trying this someone XD

Yes. You need to first download a Gameboy emulator, such as VisualBoyAdvance.

Just google it and look for a legitimate free download.

Then, do a google search for Pokemon Red/Blue ROMs. Find one that will work, and download it. From there, you should be able to figure it out by using the internet for help.

For the record, there are several trainers you can do this with. You are not "out of luck" if you've fought these specific trainers. But, if you've fought all of the trainers in the game, as most people commenting on this and other videos have, then yes, you're out of luck.

This works, I did it about a year ago. It works because it uses the run-from-the-trainer lock-up mechanism and then records the special rating of the next pokemon u encounter. Then when u return to unlock the start menu the wild pokemon u fight is based on that special rating. Special rating of 21 = Mew. If u know which special rating generates which pokemon u can get anyone u want. I did it to get all the starting pokemon.

What I did is train a pokemon to the desired special rating, then activated the trainer bug, then fought a ditto. The ditto copies my pokemon's stats, including the special rating. Then that makes sure I fight the wild pokemon I want. ;)

you got it at celadon city... go to the left and cut the tree... continue and go in the small house... talk to the girl and she'll give you FLY... you can also use Abra and do the same thing... Go to the Cerulean Poké Center and heal your pokémon... do thesame thing with another trainer ... you press on start and use teleport ... it will teleport you at cerulean then go beat the trainer with the Slowpoke.. teleport again at cerulean and go to the north... Mew will appear

That's a myth.

Nintendo stated that the only way to get Mew is from a Nintendo event, or using a gameshark.

But using a glitch through the game is the only other unofficial way.

anywas, hook up the link cable to a gameboy with ur red/blue/yellow with a gameboy with ur silver/gold/crystal. then, for the R/B/Y, go to the pokemon cable club in any pokemon center, and talk to the lady. for G/S/C, remove ANY pokemon that DID NOT exist in R/B/Y, and any old pokemon who have moves that did not exist in r/b/y. then, talk to the time capsule on the second floor of any Pokecenter. conduct a trade like u normally would...

Dude, I have actually tried this process. But just wondering off my last comment. The mew does destroy your file right because after getting saving near rock tunnel and turning my game boy again it had "Your file has been corrupted" message.
