  • She was ***extremely wonderful***. What a terrible loss back in June, 1967!

  • She was rushing to Nice airport to catch a flight to London in order to finish post synching some dialogue for "Billion Dollar Brain" her last film. Apparently she lost control of her car which hit a telegraph pole and burst into flames, accounts say she was trapped inside the burning wreckage. Sounds terrible, what a shame, such a lovely looking girl and far too young to die.

  • CATHERINE always said that her sister was better looking, more adventurous,

the leader. Terrible waste, poor girl.

  • her profile is dramatic like sharon tate

  • @paduaprs ; yes you are quite right I was thinking the same thing, they were about the same age, look alikes and died about the same era!

  • i by chance saw the billion dollor brain and i was so moved by her performance and beauty and yellow hair that i looked her up on the internet and found she had died whilst making this film id discovered and enjoyed (especially the scenes with her in) over the previous weeks. Really tragic.

  • she was my favorite actress

  • It must be terrible for Catherine to live with her memories, and keep going without her ...

  • piękna dziewczyna

  • Such a graceful beauty.

If she were common, fat and ugly, she would propably have lived on to be

a happy grandmother surrounded by kids.........Life is a bitch.

  • @xingsheng1 Yes...

  • @xingsheng1 are you common? Fat? Ugly?

    very silly thing to say.

People die in unfortunate circumstances daily, all over the world-

    Even in China

  • Se died in Car accident

  • Françoise was as beautiful as her sister Catherine, but sexier.

  • If Catherine was/is a dramatic actress, Francoise was also a great comedian actress. Both great! I think about a rainy rather cold day. Put in the DVD of the film Cul du Sac. Make a warm toddy drink. Put your finger on the remote control - PLAY. ...and just enjoy!

  • @petereuropa Ahhhh, Cul de Sac is just marvellous.

  • @MowgliX Yes. And so are those two sisters. Keep swinging (golf, of course)!

  • For sure she had sparkles.

But such a tragic fate. I wish there color pictures to reflect this sparkling beauty.

    Wonderful tribute.

  • So beautiful and talented! I miss her...

  • Incontestablement la femme parfaite. Pas seulement belle mais aussi élégante, intelligente, classe, raffinée.

  • La plus femme d'Humanité

  • Yup, sad. My mom knew Francoise in Paris and attended parties with her. She was the more talented of the two sisters.

  • une véritable beauté et plus de talent que sa soeur.

  • @eugenecraddock

    tout à fait d'accord

  • ... my first young love... my first young dream... Francoise Dorleac...

C'est dramatique qu'elle soit partie si jeune et si tôt.

  • An angel.

  • Françoise Dorléac will for ever be one of the most beautiful and talented women in the world, right up there with Edie Sedgwick, Louise Brooks, Barbara Parkins and Françoise's own sister, Catherine Deneuve.

  • sHE WAS THE SISTER FROM cATHERINE dENEUVE

She was the sister from Catherine Deneuve! Francoise was so beautiful!

    RIP!

  • Catherine Deneuve only her sister

  • Francoise Dorléac was killed when she lost control of the rented Renault 10 she was driving and hit a sign post ten kilometers from Nice at the end of the Esterel-Côte d'Azur motorway. The car flipped over, and burst into flames. She had been en route to Nice airport and was afraid of missing her flight. Dorléac was seen struggling to get out of the car, but was unable to open the door. Police later identified her body only from the fragment of a cheque book, a diary and her driving license.

  • No!She was GORGEOUS!Was her last film The Billion Dollar Brain?Adam.

  • yeah, had finished filming & was to go to premiere in London...but didn't make it.

  • I'm sorry, but who wrote the music for this clip you have displayed here? Someone named Herea?

  • Air _ Afternoon Sister

  • Francoise was amazing

  • Dorleac was a wonderful actress and a beautiful woman whereas Deneuve is a magnetic

    personality and a beautiful woman

  • damn! R.I.P

she was such a good actress

  • If you ever need more proof that beauty is timeless, look at Francoise.

  • yes i think so too

  • Great actress Francoise Dorleac Herea wrote his beautiful Largo for violin and piano and I have listened to it maybe 8 times or more.Magnificent piece and so touching.

  • could you put the largo of Herea on youtube, please?... I can't find it elsewhere..

  • EmanuelLuciano, I hope we can see the Largo "Francoise Dorleac" by Herea on youtube, soon.

I had once heard some violin/piano recording of it.I will ask the guy who had it to upload it unto youtube.

  • thanks, ...

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I want to be Francoise when I grow up. Oh wait, I'm 25.

  • she was very beautiful

  • such an amazing actress... in cul de sac wow wonderful! d u know where can i get la peau douce? im from mexico city

  • beautiful, much missed

  • She was the real star in that family.

  • Yes

  • And yes, she really was the star in her family. She was probably the most inteligent and cultivated actress who ever lived, a very strong and complex personality. Besides, behind her teenager speckled face was hidden the beauty of a Goddess.

  • well la deneuve was the real major star of the family

  • Only after the first one was dead...

  • its not true, in 1967 deneuve did the movie la belle de jour and became and international super star and by that time dorleac was alive

  • Dorleac was an amazing actress. Deneuve is gorgeous but, according to me, not a good actress.Even in "Belle de jour".

  • catherine deneuve was a major star when her sister was alive , and she was destiny to be a legend her sister was not more famous than deneuve

  • @scotpens

    Sorry, I Mean Mademoiselle...

In Her Last Days, She Was In St. Tropez With Her Friend Alix Chevassus (Both Planned To Marry), Sister Catherine And David Bailey.

  • Hard to say. She used to call everyone of her friends "My fiancee", she liked so much to play with those words that nobody knew what she really wanted...She could have probably married someone she hadn't met yet or remain unmarried like many other actresses. She was whimsical. She could have changed her mind anytime. She hadn't managed find neither her place nor her happiness. So, we'll never know what she would have done if she lived, we can speculate 1000 years on this matter.

  • One Of My Favorite Actresses. She And Her Sister Catherine Deneuve had Style, Personality And Talent.

Thanks For This Short Beautiful Video Of Madame Francoise Dorleac. Shes Always Remembered....

  • Don't you mean "Mademoiselle"? She never married.

I adore Francoise Dorleac. She was so beautiful -- almost as gorgeous as her sister -- yet she seemed so real and accessible.

  • she so beautiful. i love her (face).

  • Brilliant montage! Superb photographs.

  • What a beautiful lady, and a spectacular actress, too!

  • I like it so much when violins start rise up, at second number 40, I think.Excellent choice!

  • ...and the music you chose is wonderful, too, and very evocative.

  • You paid to her a wonderful Tribute. I wish I could do that myself.

  • I agree. Cul-de-Sac is one of the best movies ever made. La Peau Douce is great, too, though very different. In L'homme de Rio, Francoise looks the happiest. I'd love to see more videos.

  • Yes, it is three best films. I have all.

Cul-de-Sac, La Peau Douc - аlready sad.

L'homme de Rio - аbsolutely the girl and very joyful.

  • Great video. Congratulations!

One of the best actresses in the world and sooo beautiful! I can't wait to see other videos with Francoise but please don't mix her with nowadays actors.

  • Thanks.

    OK)

  • I loved her in Cul-de-sac.. She died so young.

  • Cul-de-sac - best movie.

  • It's my favourite too. I like early Polanski.
