My opinion: I believe 2 possibilities any guru or person who tells you not to do something that they're doing could be doing so are because; 1. They don't want you to experience a mistake they've made or are making, or 2; They're stuck on an addiction to something they've desperately and unsuccessfully tried to stop, but have researched enough knowledge about breaking that addiction that they could tell others how to break or avoid that problem, hoping it may still help someone else...
Something else that interests me in this message is this. Your videos help people, there's no question about that though, part of your dissitations hinge on the way you deliver wether you acknowledge that or not. I do not believe a different man could have said the same. You don't lord power over people in your videos save implicitly when you suggest people listen before speaking. Does such a delivery await to listen or step forward to deliver, he who would speak first?
If the messanger weren't important, does that not dispense with individuality? You say "surpass" but in that sense you only surpass a phantom, only transcend it to become one yourself, disdaining ego. "Look here" says the ghost! "I possess the message of your transcension! In listening to this message, you will first give up your body to it in the hope you speak this message with accentuated luminosity!" "But how," says the man!? "How could I agree to that while still attached to my body?..
Noone wants to die, but a priest who sermonizes chastity, does he really believe what he preaches, even when he preaches autonomy?
Do we ask him into infinity, listen to him or question him on his position? My point is really this: the position of listening before you speak... before surpassing those you hear is that too not a form of well, indoctrination? Does that not dispense with some form of freedom? Those possess all powers to speak before listening... when a master is still finite?
I believe that lack in the critical period is the voice of passion subdued. A priest who preaches forgiveness before a man whose wife cheated on him would disagree but you see, if you catch my drift, the priest gave up his partner long ago, he does not live beside him. Equality and apathy in that sense are indistinguishable, just as dispassionate sermonizing from dedication. I'm with Nietzsche on this one though I speak for myself. Something is lost when we "embrace an intent towards an end."
May I ask how your previous political discourse sits with you now? I mean where you talked about the flag, now you bring up idolatry and at the same time emphasize the metaphor of the relay race in listening to the man above. The freedom in being heard wether a person is or not is still a servile position to me... The person above you always "chooses" to hear you and your only choice is to listen before you speak, but you see, before that how much is the individual worth? What's lost?
I remember back at school (long time!) my computer teacher telling me "I am not going to teach you how to program a computer. I am going to help you learn to solve problems."
Actually, he did in fact teach us more about the principles of programming than programming itself (which is essentially problem solving), which has been more use to me in my life than learning BASIC.(which I have hardly ever used.)
You should always strive to exceed your mentors and role models. This way, things move forward. Often we tend to get stuck on tradition and get bogged down on holding people in reverance when in fact, this is wrong.
It's BS that we are, or all shoudl be, equal, but at some point we need to take responsibility for our own life, and surround your self with inspirational and motivational people. But you need to live your own life and make each decision on your own.
Listen and watch. Sean is a genuine soul and will bring out the best in any 1 person. We all need to grow to know our lives and Sean will help with the direction of the way things should flow. Bravo!
maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa godddddddddddd. i so much love U sean u r such a good soul....i wish i had half of ur enthusiasm love for life self peace n self luv.. that u have!!! keep on rolli babe cuz ur gonna make even greater thing that uve already made!
Worshipping another human being only leads to limitations, I agree, but I think admiration isn't a bad thing. Sean, I admire your qualities and the way you managed them and made them your loyal servants. I don't try and emulate you, but I do strive to observe your qualities and how you translate them into success, thus gaining motivation to develop mine. Thank you.
friendtor - I love it :D

I find this problem in modern education. Students watch teachers up, as if they were the ultimate genious of the subject.
Math, physics ect. are teached as absolute truths with absolute knowledge, I don`t like it.
I never finished my schools because of this reason, I couldn`t stand it. I went straight to work.
I`m fully selftaught and Im considered expert in my area. Still the mentality reeks everywhere.
Imo, Life is education, mentors are the people. No facts, only beliefs. Nice videos, Sean!

Yeah, fuck those mathematicians with their absolutism on 2+2=4. That's just a belief, not a fact. :P
There's independent thought, and then there's pig-headedness.

Love this guys joyful spirit. I call it a deeper form of Love. We all would
do well to get to this level. I really like
his definition of a guru: One that has arrived at the place the student
desires to be sooner than they. That is all. That is humility, that is equanimity.
peace
