david u beast! this is intense lol. i needa get my fittness up. i can do two sets in ten mins but im proper fukt afta that. my goals to get to four sets in 15 mins. should i do this every day? coz i have been the last four days and my body's doing fine so far.
kicked my ass Dave. 3 and a half min exercise i should be able to do it 4 or 5 times in 15 min.....i was able to do 3. feel like i just ran a marathon AND went weight training lol. love ya man keep them comin.
Honestly there are not many people that would offer this for free, thats why i just wanted to say thank you. I personally play rugby and this stuff is very good, because is not all about being big, is about the resistance and pushing it to the limit. By doing as many sets as possible you will be pushing yourself. So gym is fine but once or twice a week, try one of these work-outs. Thank you again david !
ive been trying to do something like this (we call it a hell drill) with my ultimate team for the past 6 months, now i finally found how to do it correctly :D!
Hey David! If you can have someone put a list of the circuit in text at the beginning of the video, I think it would make things incredibly convenient for your viewers.
I feel that this channel would be more successful if David did the exercises as the viewer does (the 15 seconds on each side and stuff, in a 15 min workout) like a typical workout vid. It's easier to follow if you know the trainer is willing to do the whole thing WITH YOU... and views would be higher, b/c every workout needs to be repeated.
When he said plyometric pushups for the first time I had thought he said 500 pushups. :P I am so glad that he gives exercises that do not require anything other than your body, I can't count how many exercise routines I have found that would be perfect except for the fact I need to cut a portion from my tight budget to buy some equipment.
I was pleasantly surprised how intense this work out was, I didnt think it would be that hard but it had me sweating and exhausted at the end. Nice work, looking forward to more!!!
When you should do them? At your own pace meaning the easier it gets means increase you reps. If it's hard remember it's hard for everyone not just you. We are in it together. Boom!
I don't understand what I'm supposed to be doing with all these circuits. As great as they are I can't figure out the structure. Should I do one circuit for one week. Are these progressive or do they build on them selves. Confused?!?!?
great vids David u motivate me so much :) THANK YOU
just a little observation though, some of your circuit workouts are very hard for me i dont know what others think but as a beginner i find them rather difficult. i cant even get a whole set in 15 minutes because i take breaks in between all the exercises lol im so out of shape.. sigh..
Awesome hard working circuit. I like it and it feels great. Please, like the others have requested, if you could do some muscle building excercises instead of just weightloss ones. :) (Maybe a video on a proper diet to if you have one.)
Hey David, awesome video! I like how this circuit had fewer exercises than the previous ones. It makes it easier for people who are new to workouts break in. Youre doing a GREAT job =)
Yep, those pushups are a bit advanced, especially if you push up on a leveled surface up to an elevated surface(such as setting weights on the side to get that elevation), then back down, and etc.
@brycerocks100 Then don't do this circuit, obviously. If you can't do it, don't. Do the easier ones until you are strong and fit enough to do this one. He does say this one is difficult, and it is. Nothing wrong with starting out and not being able to do the harder stuff. o.O
Awesome video: It's better when you actually do the full exercise, rather than just part of it. Also work on the camera work not being so distracting with all the stuff in the background, other than that...keep up the great work!
feedback: first off love the videos so far...do you think you could have a video that focused on common problem areas for toning and losing fat such as the lower abdominals, obliques, and inner thighs. thanks trainer david and keep it up!!
TY! that was pretty much exactly what i wanted from one of your workouts. great difficulty level and thanks so much for doing the workout with us so i can just play the vid and do it keeping up. that and the core workout from last time will keep the moderately fit people happy for a while i think so dont hesitate to release some more basic vids fr thoes with less experience. ty so much for doing this after graduating from my intense gym classes in high school i've been so lazy, this is great
I'm an ultimate frisbee player and I have to lead a team workout group during the winter month when we can't practice outside. I've decided to use this as one of our group's circuits. More advanced core circuits and leg workouts would be awesome. Thanks so much Dave!
I'm in the army, in Iraq, and I'm in above-average shape. This year I'm going to be pushing my fitness to the next level, and this video is excellent for that. I know a lot of people are beginners, but if you could incorporate more difficult workouts (like this one) that would be great. Maybe one day get into weight training or crossfit (a more intense version of this)? I basically want to get a body like you, so I'm following your lead :P
@lupexx81 if you're doing it for the first time you probably want to rest a bit between. Stay safe and dont push yourself when you dont know what your limits are.
My dad wants to lose weight but he hurt his knees in the marine corp so what he can do is limited in another ways. Could you demonstrate some good ways to get fit that wont stress the knees to much for people with injured knees?
i have a quick question. do you have any recommended muscle groups that should be workout out together? for example, i know a common group is for people to work out their triceps and chest within one gym visit. do you have any recommendations regarding what muscles should be worked out together? thanks a lot :D
@luke11992 back and biceps also go together, because they are both "pull" exercises (just as chest and triceps go together as "push" exercises). shoulders also fall under the "push" category, but I have a hard time getting chest, triceps, and shoulders in for one heavy lifting workout.
I prefer these conditioning exerises to weight training mostly; although if you really want to focus on back muscles you'll need weights. Calinesthetics are effective everywhere, but even for a beginner weight training is better when exercising your back.
Nutrition should mostly be protein and carbs an hour before workout and a little portion (with more protein, less carbs) straight after workout. In between sets give yourself 5-15 seconds to sip some water too, but keep on your toes.

@MacMillanSniper Could not agree more :D YES YES!!! More muscle intensive workouts! So far the workouts have been amazing, but more for gaining muscle and looking good naked please :D :D Btw excellent job David, very clear and well presented. Thanks!
hey i'm 18- 6'3-195. I was told by the baseball coach at umd to put on 15lbs of muscle before trying out. Essentially the program which i got on had me taking sizeon creatine during workouts, whey protein twice a day, casein at night, in addition to fish oil/multivitamin/animal flex. i paired this with essentially an iso training routine combined with a 10min abs circuit/running. I couldnt stand the shake routine tho will go back to it soon to put the weight back on. Is this healthy/effective?
@zacknafein10 i was 185 and got up to 200 by tryout time tho initially didn't make the team mainly because i didn't perform well...though i also noticed i didn't quite have as much pop in my bat (hit the ball as far) following this lifting routine, while my arm was much improved from the weight training. I kno this is rather specific tho thoughts on what I could do to change that, preferably without having to go back on the shake regimen.
I would love to see a skipping workout. I know skipping is a pretty basic workout but I think it would be awesome if you could do something cool with it!
for people asking about food/nutrition, heres one tip for your meals if you want to gain muscle... alot of chicken and pasta. but you have to cook the chiken in certain ways, one way i like is by cooking it on the george forman grill
Great videos. Can you do a video or something with tips geared more toward increasing muscle efficiency and strength? I feel like a lot of these are just to burn some calories and lose weight. But I'm already in pretty good shape; I just want to get stronger and faster the right way.
Feedback: David, i straightened "Tendence" or idk how to write it in my ankle. and its been going on for 4 months now, i got a cast and got on crutches, now im off but it keeps coming back everytime i run, do you have any advice at all for exercise that would help me lose abdominal fat but without using my leg? :(please?
To everyone who keeps asking for exercises for beginners, all of these can be for beginners!!!! Just do the ones that you can do and do the number of reps that you can do. Just try!! None of us are in as good a shape as D and might not ever be but we can try doing one or two and progress to two or three!! Oh and this is not a competition, take your time and DO YOU!! great job trainer D.

ok so i have wrestling every night and so i was wondering with the work out of a 3 hour practice every night, what is the best way i can do these work outs? and i love what you are doing for the youtube community keep it up.
Feedback: I have little fitness to be honest i'm pretty out of shape. I done your crcuit wih the pushups and my arms gave way.. i was in pain for about 3 days. That is also after i did your pre and post stretching... like the above comments i would just say for you to make your workouts a little less intense for the less fit ones of us.... something that still gets our blood pumping ans sweat running. But nothing that will take us out the game for a few days. Keep up the great work!
hey david. great videos, but there is one major thing missing. i see a lot of your viewers asking about the most important thing to working out and that is not working out, but nutrition. if you don't have the right nutition, you will never maximize your results. i will be getting a nutrition video up today, but you can also go to barthelfitness to see nutrition and supplement videos.
I like that its switched up between advanced and moderate from videos to videos, I would sujest(sp?) possibly doing a beginner circut that some one could do for a bit to work their way up to these. Also I agree with snwmbe, would be nice to have some nutrition tips as well.
great circuit david! as a suggestion, maybe you could do a series on your favorite exercises for isolating and targeting each part of the body, with and without weights/machines.
Goin on what others youtube like myself have said i find that the work outs are excellent but the weight loss part that is lacking is the food intake.
if you could give some tips in the next videos on how to eat a good diet aswell as the kick ass work out i think it would benifit me and alot of others.
That was good. But I'm wondering why you don't make anymore videos.

hey i'm 18- 6'3-195. Is this healthy/effective?
zacknafein10 1 year ago
@zacknafein10 i was 185 and got up to 200 by tryout time tho initially didn't make the team mainly because i didn't perform well...though i also noticed i didn't quite have as much pop in my bat (hit the ball as far) following this lifting routine, while my arm was much improved from the weight training. I kno this is rather specific tho thoughts on what I could do to change that, preferably without having to go back on the shake regimen.

I would love to see a skipping workout. I know skipping is a pretty basic workout but I think it would be awesome if you could do something cool with it!
Love the videos.

Great videos. Can you do a video or something with tips geared more toward increasing muscle efficiency and strength? I feel like a lot of these are just to burn some calories and lose weight. But I'm already in pretty good shape; I just want to get stronger and faster the right way.

Keep up the great work!

hey david. great videos, but there is one major thing missing. i see a lot of your viewers asking about the most important thing to working out and that is not working out, but nutrition. if you don't have the right nutition, you will never maximize your results. i will be getting a nutrition video up today, but you can also go to barthelfitness to see nutrition and supplement videos.
rmuhockeyguy67 1 year ago
I like that its switched up between advanced and moderate from videos to videos, I would sujest(sp?) possibly doing a beginner circut that some one could do for a bit to work their way up to these. Also I agree with snwmbe, would be nice to have some nutrition tips as well.

great circuit david! as a suggestion, maybe you could do a series on your favorite exercises for isolating and targeting each part of the body, with and without weights/machines.

Feedback: Show us a warm-up circuit of a complete set of stretches and warm-ups that we should do before hand. Also, do we need to cool down?
BritchesMcTavish 1 year ago
@BritchesMcTavish Cool down helps to reduce risks of cramps after training, and can reduce ache felt the next day, so I'd recommend it.

make one like super core circuit.

im lovin the work out dave!
Goin on what others youtube like myself have said i find that the work outs are excellent but the weight loss part that is lacking is the food intake.
if you could give some tips in the next videos on how to eat a good diet aswell as the kick ass work out i think it would benifit me and alot of others.
