  • Really nice improv. It would be nice if you left a little bit space for just the rhythym pumping like a bar or two inbetween like hooker does. It's just how I personally like it.

  • Fantastic stuff. I like your style, feel & rhythm & I love seeing someone enjoy themselves so much. Well done.

  • that was awesome joey ... i love john lee hooker too so cool how you're foot tapping throughout .... great playing

  • Joe,

A showcase of relaxation, always the key to getting not merely technical fluency, but musical feel, in guitar, and especially in raising the "blues" bar. Impressive, sir!

  • "hey man could you please send me some tabs for this. it sounds amazing :)"

    What about a video lesson?

  • @snake614 Sorry Snake but I don't understand tabs. I'm really happy you like the sound though! I improvise and probably couldn't play the song the same way twice in row. You are an excellent player and you should be giving me the lessons! Thanks for the idea though, we'll see if anybody else is interested! Good night Joey

  • Gread job Joey! You've got that down so well you hardly even looked down at the neck the whole time!! Awesome!

I've had my acoustic out for the last couple days....trying some alternated tunings on some classic Zep.....

    Thanks for sharing man!!!

  • @albooher1 Thanks "Jam-Master" Al! I'm listening to your homepage jam at this very moment! Some real heady stuff!! Awesome!!! After 32 years I should be able to play blindfolded! Actually, thanks for noticing. I practice sometimes in the total darkness and It's a pretty good way to get better feel. At least I think so! Love to hear what you are working on! Send it along when you get the chance!

  • hey man could you please send me some tabs for this. it sounds amazing :)

  • @MeltonMassacre Thanks so much old pal!! Truth is I tried to learn tab a couple of times but it was way to confusing for me. Sorry! The main riff is modeled after a John Lee Hooker riff in his song called "Boom Boom". You might be able to do a search for that it was one of his most popular songs! Thanks Again, It was nice to hear from you!

  • yhaaa coool man can tab this for us ( :

  • @ahchouch Thanks for the good words! If you could tab it and send it to me maybe I can figure what I did!! Ha ha!! Tab is too confusing to me! Thanks Again!!

  • Very nice!

    "Hooker rules!"

  • @snake614 Thanks man!! That is so true!! I got this "Hooker" riff in my head and it's been banging around there for about a year. I kept coming back to it! I'm happy I was able to use it in an improvisation! Thanks for the comment and staying in touch!!

  • Nice impro my friend!

    Love the guitar!

    Greetings from Brazil

  • @andreauvilisboa Thanks for watching Andre! Yeah it has a beautiful tone! Nice to hear from you again!!

  • A good way to start the day :) love to listen! Thanks for that...

  • Joey, I love the sound! You can't hide talent behind an acoustic guitar - and I love the natural reverb (and colors) of the room. I especially like the turnaround at about 1:56 - nice! Take care.

  • @cchance123 Hey Mike!! So glad you got to listen and respond!! It's funny I was thinking of you after I did the bass run near the end of the song cause I learned it from you! That was some 30 years ago and I'm still using it! As I have stated on my channel page you are one of my biggest musical influences and I know that you hear your stuff in my music and that so cool!! Thanks again Mike!!!

  • @cjoey39 I completely remember that old riff. You, John and I played it for hours back in the day with Barney hurling snowballs at old drunks coming out of the Polish-American Club trying to get into their cars. I still have the cassette of that crazy night when the cops told us to quiet down and then asked if we wanted to play the policemans ball. This is when funny becomes too funny. We all co-wrote additional lyrics, "Gonna' reach right up and touch the sky!" Very nice - - and good times.

  • Hi! Joey it's awesome! wel done!

  • this is awesome joey.. god bless you :)

  • really great

  • Amazing! I wish i could play an acoustic that well! If i dont have a backjing track available, i wont even attempt to play or know how to play, lol. The blue paint on the walls really compliments the awesome blues playing \m/

  • @burnedoutgolfer Hi Sloth! Always nice to hear from you! Thanks for the compliment but I know for a fact you can play anything! You're a real guitarist and possibly a home decorator on the side! Ha Ha! Thanks Again!!!!

  • Cool man!!
