Why does everyone hate on abdc so much? granted, they dont display the best crews or what many consider 'real dancing', but at least it shows the culture of dance and has opened it up to a bigger audience. Personally, I'd rather have more people exposed to dancing and hopefully inspire some to look deeper into it while dealing with the ignorant 'abdc is the beginning and end of dancing' people, than not give dance the exposure at all

they don't hate abdc; they're disappointed that's all. ABDC wil return to form soon i think. Eventually people will get tired of 'tricks' and appreciate choreography a little more. Remember it's just a minute performance and people remember spectacles more than anything. Nobody liked the ringmasters really, but you remember em cuz it was freaky.

I'll have have to disagree with you there. By no means does ABDC show the culture of dance. Thing with ABDC is that it's completely artificial. Even the dancing, is monitored by the producers .

The show itself is an entire misrepresentation of the dance culture. They have judges who aren't exactly qualified, and they say shit that sounds completely absurd sometimes. While it does give minor exposure, it leaves way behind ignorance.

It's a dance show, not a dance competition.
