  • Keith should be the new spokesman for Proactiv. Reginald out.

  • Coolest (and highest) man in the world!

  • he gave so much to me, hope he comes with the Stones to Cologne again, saw all the shows here since 67

  • cool cat keith,a man who has lived ten thousand lives

  • Love Keith heart and soul of stones from 65 to 72 the best band ever

  • He seems like just a really nice man to. I love his music hands down always! :)

  • The human dried apple....God bless ya Keith.

  • Ive read his book and its not really that good. Lots about his drug addiction and tuning 5 string guitars but jeez, theres not much else. Sorry but its not an epic book. Ronnie Woods was better

  • @markmywords312 totally agree...so many drugs talking.......not enough anecdotes...i was a bit disapointed.....

  • Even Kurt Cobain's spirit is watching that...

  • an absolute legend , just read his book and all i can say is , what a fucking absolute british icon , he is up there with the living walking legends that are left to roam , he has music in his bones and will do until the day our icon croaks , check out the x pensive winos they are class

  • @capetown99

    Thats original

  • @mattkeating1976

Maybe I was a bit harsh :) I had a few beers. But I never liked him, especially after he claimed in his book Hendrix got the idea of Purple Haze riff from him. Jimi got all the ladies, Keith and Mick didnt like it. I also think he was very envious of Jimmy Page. Jimmy was not only a more superior guitarist but he too got all the top groupies in the early 70s. Hes just become a comical character whereas Page, Beck and others have kept their character intact.

  • shit they talk about ozzy shouldnt be alive keith has done more dope than ozzy ever dreamed of....

  • @chopperslam69

nah keith took his fair share of drugs but he was only a big drug user from the mid 60's to the early 80's, ozzy was a heavy drug user for far longer.

  • @JoshRobertson142 He only stopped cocaine in 2006

  • He's shite.

  • with a face like a vandalized sofa and the voice of a 1940s waywardhomosexual, more a British rusty fork than a jewel in the rock and roll Dartford 'alf crown.Marvilis !

  • always the same questions...

  • I have a theory: he is death itself. He´ll get us all someday. Laugh at me, but that´s what he is.

  • Keith Richardsshould be studied by all men to learn how to behave.

  • @randomdave30 Stupidest thing i've ever heard.

  • @misfitstattoo on the contrary

  • Ha! Gotta Love the antichrist.

  • KEITH IS A LEGEND!!!!

  • It's true what Keith says about Mr. Mick. I saw the Stones at The L.A. Colosseum in 1981 and you can't take your eyes off of the man. in a league of his own almost when it comes to charismatic front men.

  • Keith always makes a good interviewee :)

  • Otifer!!!

  • ALIVE SIGHT KEITH RICHARDS ANY NOT DRUGS OF ANY NOT CIGARETTES OF ANY NOT ALCOHOL... IT IS PLEASANT TO LOOK ON IT MAN.... I LOVE KEITH AND RESPECT !!!

  • i cant believe what a pampered life this guys led badass MY ASS.typical middle class assholes bowing down to the super rich

  • Loading the trunk, and thus weighing down the car, with blocks & bricks was (and perhaps remains) illegal in Pennsylvania. We've all been tempted to fatten our women by autumn in anticipation of another brutal, global-warming initiated, record-setting Arctic winter.

  • I love that new band started by former cellular salesmen, "THE ROLLING PHONES"

  • Keith is a badass. One of the coolest mofos to ever grace this earth!

  • after what went threw his body i dont think anything can kill him

  • he's the only person who can wear a hat like that and not look like a cunt

  • Iconic. Legendary. Awesome. I love how the book has brought out his well-aged charm, character, and intellect. I'm also so glad his sobriety seems to have lasted (not without some damage). Much respect Keith, you're one of the greatest.

  • Nice shoes.

  • god keith!

  • Keith Richards Rules!

  • What an intelligent, articulate man he is. A gentleman, a scholar and a lover of music. The Stones, also, have always being very courteous towards their fans.

  • This is a good interview, not too fawning, with some interesting questions and reviews.

Of course, the interviewer asks about drugs, and Keith rolls his eyes at 5:25 - "do we have to talk about drugs again? How about Rio - just for today? How about my daughters? How about Amy Winehouse?"

  • Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Keith falling out of a tree!

  • Richards and Jagger are a bizarre reversal of each other. Richards looks 30 years older than he acutally is, but isn't slowing down at all, and shows no signs of doing so. Jagger looks 30 years younger but is showing signs of old age. The moral of the story is, apparently, do drugs. Lots of drugs.

  • Good to seee an interviewer that asks some decent questions and appears to have great respect for his guest

  • he looks like yoda

  • Such a raw voice! Love it!!!!

  • The Grim Reaper must of liked the Stones music too much for him to have cheated death for this long.

  • Johnny Depp based his Jack Sparrow performance on Mr Richards

  • @15niall And it shows

  • @andipoetic It really does, awesome guys, both of em

  • @15niall The most awesome.

  • Richards Richards not fucking Richard...get it right for crying out loud.

  • hehehe bad boys!!! love love love <3

  • keith is a great guy

  • hahahah

I love his face when Andrew start talking about drugs..

  • "you need some sustenance, not just food and water"!

  • Keith Richards will live forever. I swear. After the apocalypse happens and life as we know it is completely obliterated from the Earth, and the sky is burning flame and the seas run red with blood, Keith Richards will emerge from some door, look around and say, "What's all this then?"

  • @Batman8657 Giant rats and cocroaches will inhabbit the earth - but Keith el' be there playing slide probably lol.

  • @Batman8657 along with my nextdoor neighbour and probably Kirk Douglas

  • @Batman8657 You're damn right. He cannot die. Ever.

  • @Batman8657 he's still young dude..by the age of 75 he wont be around no more...see you again in 8 years and we'll see who's right... :D

no disrespect to the stones as i m a big fan

    cheers!

  • @Batman8657 After a nuclear war, Keith Richards, Ozzy Osbourne and cockroaches will be the only survivors.

  • @Batman8657 Forever a Stone.

  • @Batman8657 living dead

  • His book is fantastic. Loved the stones since i was a toddler, brought up with their music. keef was always my favourite. He's the real deal.

  • That is definately Jack Sparrow !

  • @gregschultheis I hope he will be asked for any other movie in future!

  • keith has had a lot of influence on all recent albums

  • Mick took advantage of Keith's addiction. When Keith was falling from the light in like.... 1973 - 1980, Mick took over. I was no longer Jagger/Richards, it became Jagger (and Richards). My opinion Emotional Rescue, shite, Undercover, shite. Both were albums where Jagger was trying to overpower Keith and be "modern". They stopped COMBINING like they used to, which is when you get Sticky, Exile etc. Jagger has always been the problem in this band. He bullied Brian. No wonder Charlie punched him.

  • what the fuck is up with his fingers?

  • @TheTomito44 My grandpa had them like that and he never played guitar. I`m saying this because a lot of people say "ooo...well... playing guitar for over 40 years", so it`s not true. DUDE ! I don`t know. :)

  • @MrSatanochio must be some sort of typical age deformation

  • Keith is a legend!!!

  • Ilove his book only 100 more pages left

  • @SpencerZettersten IVE BEEN READING IT ALL WEEK, FANTASTIC STUFF:)

  • I think I blew it. Mick is doing a SOLO album Now. with Dave Stewart !! ( I thought he was dead) Maybe lady gaga or britany spears with do a guest spot.. or even bettter Justin Beiber !!!! when your almost 70 you gotta stay current. why waste any time with the worlds greatest RR band > History has shown that the people love micks solo albums ! maybe you can even find a copy of Primitive Cool at Value Village on Cassette.

  • @Chookiman Shut the fuck up about those people

  • @sclapione How about .... NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He is a cool guy, a great guy

  • He's great! He's so wise and telling simple and truly things

  • He's great! He's so wise and telling simple and truly things

  • 1:03 even that little quiff is fashionable today. His ears keep growing...that figures.

How he stays so thin ? Horse riding ...keeps all your muscles in shape.

    Talk about a blessed 'Life".

  • He's weird when he's sobber aint he?

  • @thekwaze No

  • Yes, it's the ludicrously over paid bbc interviewer talking to a ludicrously rich man.

  • I'd wondered whether most of his book was ghost written but listening to him, no way - really surprised how together he is and how much he can recall.

  • This dude should be jailed for that tie

  • My instructor in Mass Media actually wants me to do a thesis on "KEEF!" Any one recomment any good sources?

  • @Ms1969music Yea learn all 325 songs by heart.

  • your jaw drops with laughter alright, great read

  • Keith blows!!!!

  • @pagefan1000 and your a fucking cool kid

  • I travelled a lot with Keith´s book in my bag,but it still looks good. Even his book is too tough to die ...

  • Keef is amazingly lucid when sober.

  • I always thought Keith and George could've been brothers in the early days. Very similar look.

  • "You need some sustenance and it's not just food & water."

  • Keith is a wasted dude but he is also incredibly intelligent, a genius really. You don't write songs like that otherwise. Just about all those hit songs the Rolling Stones did with the exception of maybe Brown sugar, he wrote alone, Jagger just added the lyrics after Richards suggested some. Richards is like John Lennon, he just pumped out these mind blowing songs one after the other from seemingly nowhere.

  • LOVE IS STRONG WICKED AS IT SEEMS are cool Stones tracks huh?

  • ...that's where heroin helps me...keeps my feet in the gutter....isn't that a smart explanation

  • I really enjoy the book, Life. If Keith wrote it, he's really good. Or if it's ghost-written, that's a great choice of writer.

  • @Lisarata It's written by him AND his friend, James Fox. Says so at the start. :)

  • Stones have been the backdrop and frontdrop to my life - son, mate, colleague, father, godfather, stepfather, etc - Loved Keef's book.

  • His biography is a great read. He's a fine musician and the book shows how hard he worked to play well, write great songs, and keep up with touring and getting the band up to speed and keeping it there. There's a lot in the book I didn't expect; lots of funny bits and some quite touching bits. It's a portrait of a famous kid from my era and in some parts speaks for all of us who came of age in the '60's.

  • Andrew Marr..props to him. He's one of the best interviewer's on earth.

  • Man,he looks like he's a hundred years,WOW!! I'm reading his book by the way,very int'resting 'tale'.

  • Happy birthday Keef, old boy!

  • Cool guys ,everything has an end ......................what they did they did and it was fantastic

I still fell to thank them for all these things and i still feel to say thanks god there still rolling stones , even if they don't are in shape

  • Wow, hes much more lucid than i thought he would be with all the Keith Richard jokes out there.

  • Depp did a really good job mimicking him

  • I found LIFE excellent and would hardly relegate it to a "bathroom read". Ignorance is judging before trying. Agree about albumn though.

  • @666max1000 " Ignorance is judging before trying". I read the whole thing mostly on the shitter man ! (I have little uniterupted time) Did you know that keith claims that he wrote some of his best songs on the toilet. try "Beast of Burden"

    Cheers

  • Aargh Caaghnt Geaargght Naaaargho! SaaatusfaaactSHON!

One of the weirdest-sounding pieces of the English language ever.

  • Vitamin "A" has been linked to a plastic anemia a form of leukemia { IT kills you!} Antibiotics { or the over prescribing of } will soon be shown to be linked to auto immune issues.. wait for this to come out !!! SO ignore me if you like...."Justthatiam"

I speak my mind and I speak freely with a clear conscience. "Paregoric" is merely "Tincture of Opium" but GOD forbid they call it that when they give it to babies for colic. HAHAHA ! Have you ever given YOUR children the demon Paregoric ?

  • Perhaps the frightful truth for all the mums and dads in the world is that if it wasn't illegal it wouldn't get the exposure that it does { money} and thus kids wouldn't be interested !

  • This makes "Solid Gold" a permanent dichotomy ...Now THAT"S an inside joke to about 4 million Junkies in the 5 boroughs area. Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags Bags Bags Solid Gold Solid Gold Bags

  • @Chinawest1 Isn't this a song by the Sex Pistons ? ? ? Sure it si ..it was on that bootleg from San Fransisco when they dist all their "potential" fans... Horrible album Horrible band...Horrible idea of what "Solid Gold should really be...i,e, a great selling piece of music. That's all .

  • Is it just me, or does Richards actually look not THAT bad right now? lol. And he seems a little more clear and isn't muttering much... he must be sober, but still.

Kidding aside, I hope the Stones will do another album because you know it would be great.

The Stones imo are the greatest rock and roll band of all time... above the Beatles. These guys are the true rockers, innovators and SURVIVORS. They never actually hid anything and just lived their lives. Like it or not. Respect.

  • @justthatiam Exactly!

  • @justthatiam Listen ... Opium has been demonized for centuries. IT is NOT an overall unhealthy thing to your body. Heron is 'not a great thing to do but in the long run your body can tolerate it far longer than alcohol or stimulants like amphetamines, cocaine. If they put poison in it obviously it's worse. !

  • @Chinawest1 Uhh, no, I won't 'listen'. Eating healthy, taking vitamins and exercising will keep me alive and improve my quality of life far more than any of that garbage. That stuff sends people to jail and kills people every day. I listen to their music - I don't do their drugs or care.

  • @justthatiam Police put people in jail...as far as killing people.... People kill people.

I never advocated it...I did take the side of reason ...thus it is a medical issue not an issue for debate or any kind of advise for what will "keep you alive" like exercise or vitamins...Also it's not "Their drugs"...These drugs have been around a very long time. The "Harrisaon Narcotic act" made them a felony in this country. Heroin was available just like aspirin in the 20th century.

  • @Chinawest1 I didn't read a word of what you said. You'll be ignored.

  • @theAceMod1979 Aren't they all?

  • 1:56 he wanted to steal that treaure with that look in his eye LOL.

  • GREAT INTERVIEW

  • Kool site!

    Merci beaucoup

  • I blame Mick Jagger for originating that annoying pouty-lips duckface expression that all the teenage girls on Facebook like to employ. For shame!

  • The book that Keith written is the diary of a guitar-man and probably it will be a best-seller .

  • This man is more intelligent, articulate and cultered that people imagine. He is the core of the Stones, and a good guitar player and innovator, A real talent!

  • @buscapleitosNo1 couldn't agree more, much more now after reading the book.

  • KEITH RICHARDS!

  • I for one would like Rod Stewart and Ron Wood to write the next stones album :) Now that would make me happy :)

  • What do these guys have to prove to any of the rest of us. Proof is in the pudding if you ask me.

  • What a ridiculous old cretin. Theres a contradiction between his wino appearance and his perfect set of Hollwood false teeth.

  • @sail1948 I love interesting characters, which he certainly is.He's a great writer & musician. It's a shame that you think it's all about appearance but I'm not having a go at you, it's the way things have gone these days, all about looks, unfortunately.

  • thank you keith

  • amen on bringing mick t and bill wobble wyman back. that would actually justify the millions we've all spent on them! soul survivor

  • The Rolling Stones > The Beatles.

    Enough said.

  • @LeathermanFan I'll use that to help me in math class, those things are so confusing. Rolling Stones > Beatles, got it

  • @elginxxxman

i like the rolling stones better than the beatles.. but the beatles are still the best band ever no matter what.

  • The man sold your soul to rock and roll

  • hes a legend

  • The world is a better place with the Rolling Stones on board .

  • he has nice shoes! haha ;)

  • jack sparrow.. hahaha

  • Lovely chap, Keith is...

  • "Well son, take some of this...."

  • If i were 65 years older..... <3

  • Good old Keef, eh? Still has that 'fuck you' attitude to life, and that's what I always loved about the guy, he's nobody's fool. A great character and he knows how to put it across on stage as well. Jeez, I'd love to have a night out on the town with the man. He is in a league of his own, in more ways that one. Never a dull moment man! :)

  • Useless - this clip is out of sync1

  • @PZK12 it isnt?

  • Cool . Old news all. Drugs in the 60's shocker..... snooze. I will dutifully buy the book on teusday as a good bathroom reader. WHY DON'T THE ROLLING STONES DO SOMETHING COOL ! lIKE RECORD A REAL ALBUM WITH MICK TAYLOR AND BILL WYMAN ! EXILE REDUX WITH KEITH AT THE HELM ! the tours are great but the albums are dull. Do somthing Good as a last gas. In the Blues rock n roll vein.

  • @Chookiman

That'd be very cool. Exile in the eyes of Keef.

  • @Chookiman .. The Book is Good ! and it was on sale.

  • Comment removed

  • @Chookiman Do the Stones have one good album left in them ? If it was up to me

I would force Keith Richards to write the whole next album ! Bring in Mick Taylor for his melodic gift and Bill Wyman(for the stones "wobble ") . Mick has almost SUBJUGATED Keith since the maybe the post Exile Era. And has proven beyond a doubt through his business acumen the Stones as a world touring Behemoth second to none. (ac.dc ?).And all on Keith's classic writtng era ! ? I plead ! Does anyone agree ?

  • @Chookiman I agree! But, the first thing they would have to do is get rid of Michael Cohl; he's a dirty, greedy bastard that destroyed the Stones back in1989. I saw the Stones in '81, and by the time '89 came around, we were all to starved to see the Stones again. The 80's, musically speaking, was the weirdest decade. So, we just accepted whatever the Stones did. But, in retrospect, the 1981 Tour was the last Stones Tour; Keith isn't in control now, but the machine is, read Bill Germans bk.

  • @kenpacha75 Read Keith's book - the 80s' gap was more to do with Mick and Keith not getting on; not Cohl.

  • @MMRJL I did read Keef's book---read German's (he was a major insider) book and you might get a little more clear picture of how the band actually works; it's not the way we think it does. And, might not even the way Keith would like to paint it as such.

  • @kenpacha75 Who is bill german .. Bill graham ? I have seen the stones Six times in the last 20 years and always had a great time ! I think Cohl has made a boatload of money for them over the last decades . Greedy ? i would take the money . cheers.

  • @Chookiman Bill German, he was owned the Beggars Banquet Stones fanzine, eventually became the offical Stones magazine '83 to '96. He wrote a memoir about his experiences with the Stones, was very close to the band, called "Under Their Thumb; How a Nice Boy From Brooklyn Got Mixed Up With The Rolling Stones and lived to tell about it" . Check it out at your local library, it's very eye opening about how a band that gets this big no longer has control anymore.
