i wish their was actually a position of DH that you could select for ortiz, thomas, hafner, intsead of having them play 1st base.....in real life they just don't play any position

You can choose who to play what possition before playing the game. HOWEVER! If it is an A.L. team versing a N.L. team or a N.L. versing a N.L. and they are playing at a N.L. stadium there is no DH, because in the N.L. the pitcher bats too.
