  • just like FN F2000, the bullet's casing ejected forward of the gun.

  • Good old heavy Soviet machine gun!

  • @hardware199 is no old dumbass and your cal 50 its what

  • @hardware199 and its finnish army

  • @hardware199 and its finnish army no russian

  • Just curious, why are Russian belt-fed guns fed from the right side and eject to the left?

  • @matt92hun Why do British people drive on the left side of the road?

  • @Robbi159 hahahaha

  • DshK

  • Little do we know, those sticks are the sights. :p

  • @ZombieHunter19

Nope, like I said before, those sticks are in place only to limit the firing sector. The actual aiming is done with the reflector sight mounted on the back of the weapon. The sight itself is also seen in the video.

  • @Jarppih It was a joke bro. We can see the reflector sight.

  • fuck off with the dear santas, think of something new ._.

  • omg

  • Got to shoot 40 rounds with it. Very accurate even at long range. Shot to 1000m and every burst hit.

  • Dear Santa...

  • That thing's got a high rate of fire.

  • oh wow now isnt that the bees knees.. :)

  • beauty

  • Это не NSV! Это KORD!

  • @2127Pavel

It sure is NSV. Not Kord.

  • norway used this weapon

  • @hqkill NSV? Im pretty sue Norway has M2.

  • @SuperFinnish awesome thx, i can't realy anything abaute Scandinavian weapons

  • @SuperFinnish A few, but mostly M3M.

  • JESH

  • Hienot sektoriseipäät, hermanni.

  • interesting, it feeds from the right. I shot german, nato and russian belt feed weapons, but never seen one that feeds from the right.

  • @darkzeiram99 PKM's feed from the right.... Stoner 63s can be set up for right hand feed, as well as M2 50 cals....

  • @SpencerAK74M my bad, your right, all russian belt feed load from the right. I shot one years ago in iraq, a group had some, I swore it loaded from the left.

  • @darkzeiram99 Its ok.... We all have brain farts. lol

  • Heacy machine gun 12.7mm rounds can take out helicopters, houses, low flying jets, armored infantry carriers, can be used as anti-sniper weapon with optics attached. Super gun.

  • @reddwarf50 Yup, basically it's basically the famous .50cal , this one just shoots faster than the M2 BMG. :d

  • Finnish soldiers used that great gun at Cold Response 2010. It seemed to go quite fine with all that snow and the low temperatures in Norway, where the exercise took place. Russian guns are very, very reliable in extreme conditions.

  • @Spetsnazcollector Oh, you were in CR10?

  • @LapinPete No, I just read an article about it in Kommando (International Special Operations Magazine). Haha, me in Cold Response... ^^

  • Perässäajaja ei selvästi ymmärtänyt "huumoria" kun osoittelin masin lavalta tuolla itikalla :(

  • HOLY SHIT THAT GUNS FUCKIN' AWESUM!

  • sweet gun dude

  • Probably the reason why we use same caliber and weaponry dates back to winter war when finnish soldiers looted lots of weapons and ammo from captured russians. And 7.62mm is heavier bullet than NATO standard 5.56mm because it has better accuracy when used in forests where you have to shoot through branches and bushes.

  • why finland use many weapons made in ussr? finland was never socialist country

  • @01111983hummel Russia was never socialist too.

  • @01111983hummel bcasue russian weapons are tough, cheap, light, reliable, deadly

  • Hypothetically highest threat. Same caliber ammunition and same types of weaponry = looted ammo and weaponry match with our own. Simple.

  • lol ))) finnish army will plan to attack and not defend And take much looted ammo and weapony? )) Finland neutral country, wasn't in NATO and had good relations with USSR

  • @01111983hummel You're stupid ain't ya?

  • @01111983hummel We don't have an army. We have Defence Forces which is plan to defend not attack. We are not in NATO.

  • I found info about it: it originate from time when finland was part of russian empire. Fin army used russian weapons, and have standarts of russian army. in war 1939. all filand artilery< and many others weapons was russians(except suomi , of course)

  • @01111983hummel Umm.. Yes there were Russian weapons but our standards were Finnish. Suomi KP(Finnish sub machinegun) and Pystykorva rifle.

  • @01111983hummel Nope, not all Finnish artillery was based on Russian guns. There were cannon and howizers from France, Germany, Sweden and even Holland in Finland at 1939. Check your facts again.

  • Russian gun

  • who are they albanian soliders

  • They ar glorius Finnish soldiers!!

ever heard a small nation who kicked ruskies ass!!

  • you got just a enough land to bury dead soldiers...

  • Take it easy, ruskie.

  • So first you declare that Russia should attack Finland again and conquer it altogether, after which you call me bloodthirsty. Rrrright.

Maybe you should try invading a nation on similiar level of civilization.. like uhh.. Mozambique?

  • Comment removed

  • I don't know about any babies honestly. Soldiers, yes, babies, propably not. :D

  • So what you're saying is Soviets attacked with babies which in turn resulted in evil Finns killing thousands of ruskie babies? Errr.. Besides, it was SU who attacked, so what makes you call us blood thirsty?

  • Just RUKI VEHR kostian...

  • так держать!Дай этим пидорасам отпор!

  • Please go whine elsewhere. Especially with that kind of english.

  • English smoke on world

  • NSV was really fun to shoot back in the army times :D I liked it a lot!

  • Do the Finns make the NSV for themselves, or did they just buy them from the Russians? I'm curous, since the Russians switchd from the NSV to the Kord because the plant that made the NSV was in Kazahkstan.

  • I don't think they're built here. Propably bought from the East Germans or something way back, or any other east bloc country. That I wouldn't know, but I'm 99% certain they weren't manufactured in Finland.

  • Thanks; the Russians didn't adopt the NSV until 1972, but they used it up until the 1990s, and then switched to the Kord.

  • Not exactly so. Works on KORD design started after 1991 and it was under construction for almost 10 years. So, only after 2001 KORD introduced in service and started to replace NSV. But till today NSV is the main heavy machinegun in Russian army.

  • Finland recieved a shitload of them as part of the T-72M1, BTR and BMP-2 purchases for practically free. Old cold war politics.

  • And it's a good MG so why change it.

  • ui vittu ku o makee

  • You should repalce it by the "Kord"

  • It is the Kord..

  • look at the info. Its is the NSV

  • Yup, it is NSV, not Kord. Designated 12,7 ItKK 96 in the Finnish army. It says NSV in the description and in the title.

  • what were you shooting at?

  • a Banshee target drone

  • pudotin lennokin tollasella

  • Niiden pudottamiseen se taitaa parhaiten soveltua... ;)

  • ooo good weapons !!!

  • hey ain't that machine gun equibalent to the american 50. cal machine gun

  • yeah 12.7 mm is .50 cal

  • .50 BMG is 12.7x99mm

    NSV is 12.7x108mm

  • is this antiaircraft?

  • yeah it's supposed to be. however, nothing stops you from using it against anything you see on the ground either

  • Russian soldiers in Chechnya named it as "antisniper", because of its high accuracy, fire density and huge destructive power of projectile. Dispersion of bullets is just about 1.5meter at 1km distance. Comparing to NSV, KORD has almost double accuracy.

  • @offlineri For Helicopters.

  • isnt that the gun rambo used in rambo 3 for shooting the helicopter? but with big sights

  • tänään purin ja kasasin 10 kertaa :D hiano ase!

  • Iloisia aamuja

  • This has been replaced by the Kord now, right?

  • No its not. It's very much used even today, and propably will be even further.

  • It WILL be replased by CORD. =))

  • It propably won't be. Finland's going in NATO's general direction, and whenever it's going to be replaced, my best guess is its going to be something from their arsenal.

  • KORD also has a version produced for NATO ammunition. Exactly for this reason, for export to NATO countries.

  • Replacing it with Kord is not gonna bring any significant improvements

  • oh man, ditto....ditto

  • The Kord is more maneuverable.

  • More maneuverable in what way? I don't see how it would be any different as vehicle- or tripod-mounted HMG

  • MY apologies, at first I thought this gun was DShK, yeah this gun is lighter than the Kord, so you may be right.

  • Nothing is lighter than KORD. Kord weights just 36kg, NSV about 45.

Kord is the only heavy machinegun in the World wich can shoot from bipod. So, you are totally right saying that KORD is more maneuverable. Its crew can easily transfer it to any non-prepaired battle position and immidiately open fire.

  • @BitnikGr actually, the finnish nsv can be fitted with a bipod.

  • Well... 2km effective range of KORD against 1.5km of NSV. 36kg against 45kg. Almost double accuracy... Any of this improvements might seem non-significant by itself. But all together it seems to worth it.

  • Yes, but only in Russian army. Because after 90s production of NSV became located on soil of independent country, Kazakhstan. So, russians had to develop new heavy machinegun. Degtyarev's school gunsmiths in town of Kovrov (KORD).

  • Nah, it's not the American people or goverment that caused the economic bullshit, just a couple of rich fuckers who wanted to become richer.

  • Just so you people know, 1901974 is Australian.

  • he must be here on Holiday.....

  • wow, thats pretty good. the shoulder stabilizers are pretty clever.

  • those are not americans you dumb fuck, read the description they are finns. they also sound nothing like americans

  • Finns, not americans...

  • Americans having fun with messing up their own economy, I apologize for NOT using the F- word.

  • None of your tax money to be had here. How about you blame GM and Lehman Brothers for a start. :)

  • jhmbmmbmb

  • only beasts in west..

  • Hello is there a chance to take a photo of a M 16 with a mounted rocket launcher, somewhere in the usa? or heavier (modern machine gun)? i am from germany and working as a photographer. Need to take this pic no chance to do so in europe. Maybe on a gunfare or so...

Thanks, all the best to the west

  • I fired one but that one knocked me off my feet, this must be a preety good improvement

  • how much can i buy this for in america, is there a way to get a license for a machine gun and where do u get a machine gun license

  • Comment removed

  • The ATF. They will send you all the paper work and info you need. If there isnt one already registered you will have to open a firearms buisness.

  • Yah but you will be on a very special list if you own one ;P

  • And then the AFT will do random inspections on your house and property.

  • Actually not really. Sector stakes - to limit the shooting sector to the designated firing zone.

  • Vittu mä haluan tuollasen mun kämpän ikkunalle niin terve tuloa velanperijät kylään=))

  • oh yeah.

  • john rambo did some fancy things with that gun :D

  • AZ DI APONIM

  • Whatever you say

  • yes it is a 50 cal round, its measured in mms. size of round case diffrs, but bullet diameter is same.

  • isnt a 12.7x99 a .50 cal round?

  • Yes, but these are 12.7x107mm

  • Cool, we used the same reflex sights and similar mounts on our 12,7's in the Norwegian military.

  • same sights - I believe they are made in Norway

  • voi vittu tätä itikkaa HAHA kalpenee huolel meiä aseen vieres (23 it 61 sergei

  • Molemmilla olen ampunut ja molempiin koulutuksen saanu :) On siinä Sergeissä munaa, mutta eipä oo itikan voittanutta. :P

  • can u keep this baby for self defence at home? xDD

  • Only in USA... ;D

  • I dont think that was the point. In USA you can have about any gun for "self-defence", even a damn 152mm Howitzer if you wish.

  • You do realize you have no idea what the hell you're talking about? Don't you?

  • I actually know a dude in NH who, well, yeah...

  • Nice gun

  • Nice shooting

  • This may be random, but can the PKM machine gun be used as an AA gun?

  • ye probably, if you mount it on the proper tripod.... but then it isnt that good of an AA gun..

  • Aye. Might be a bit low powered, but I suppose there is no reason why couldn't you. After all, they used the 7.7mm Lews MMGs in the twenties and even in the second world war :p

  • No thats a NSV heavy machinegun all it is a big version of the PK but a 12.7x107mm it replaced the DSHK .

  • Nice gun. It has balls. I've only shot 90 rounds with one but it was fun.

  • Aye, with that I have to agree. It's maybe the most ballsy gun I've ever even seen, aside from the Zu23. That, I tell you, is one heck of an experience. Having ~2000 shots/minute rof and recoil ten times of the NSV (even compared to the 10x weight) its really really fun. Something you never forget.

One burst and you're shaking. :)

  • i want one for christmas please santa i will be good this year!

  • Hehe, good luck with your parents then :D

  • aw man my mom said no she said i might shoot my eye out. =(

  • awsome dude

Suunnassa sain ainakin itse pidettyä osumat kummallakin. Mitään ei kuitenkaan tullut alas.

  • Tulihan niitä maleja niinä parina päivänä parikin alas?
