mrmot83 when you record it was connect to cabinet that is under gm108? how you record the sound with microfone or with simple camera..because sound is good
@SilentKRock no, this was recorded with it's internal speaker, the amp below it had no use in this video. You can check my other video where I used the GM108 with the speaker from the Mesa F-50.
This was actually recorded with a 2mpix Nokia cameraphone, no additional recording gear.
@mrmot83 what effect did you use to get the acoustic sound because i can't get mine to sound like that. i can't even get distortion which i'm afraid will blow the amp. will it blow it? also, can you please tell me how to do a pitch squeal? i can't do it no matter how hard i try.

I wouldn't think so, it's a 15 watt SS amp with a 8" speaker so it's basically just for practicing (loud practicing, too), but with drums I believe it would have to have more power
@mrmot83 it deff needs more power for a band stuation, i have the amp, it's good, but i can't get this kinda sound with it, especially not with the guitar that came with the kit
@JohnTheRipper2 Well, I use the same amp, and I have to turn it all the way to 10 when having band pratice to hear it over the drums... So, yeah, it's only good for practicing
They are so cheap because Tech21 did all the research and engineering (obviously its a trademark 10...lol)...if this design had a 50 watt power amp then it would be useful out there.

The only amp I know for 80$ that would beat this sound-wise is a Vox Pathfinder 10...and it doesn't have half the features of the GM108. So don't go around telling other people they can "get something better with their money" , when you have no clue. For the price, this is a very good beginner amp.
I have one of these, replacing it with a SpiderIII 15 Watt. Not that it doesn't sound good comparing the two, but the effects and custom speaker of the SpiderIII appeal to me.
can you pls tell me how to make my V tone sound better i have the same one as you do but i dont know how to set it up so i can make cool sounds like slashes dont cry solo.
i have one and can make a good slashy tone, but to get a really good one you do need to invest on a better amp. im trying to get my parents to let me get the peavey windsor
I have have that amp. It sucks, but I guess it's okay for beginners.

I bought the D.I. box version of this amp. It models an old Fender tweed, Marshall, and a MESA....
Not bad really, and you can't beat the XLR out's for $30!

Practice amp ONLY! NO way you could even TRY to keep up to drums with this. Go at LEAST 30-50watts and you should be ok
