No, I rarely run it on the street. At one track event I got an over-temp warning for the transmission. I installed the cooler and never had a problem again at the track. Even on hot summer days driving on the street without the cooler running, I haven't seen the over-temp warning. It's a good thing, since it is very loud.

Question: do you need to run the tranny cooler at all times or can it be off for street driving and then on when you need it (on track, for example)?
