  • I never see the legs move sideways. Maybe it's not possible, so that would be a flaw.

But otherwise, it's great to see that such improvements have been made. Someday we'll all be texhnolyzed XD haha

  • 30 kg's with ease... Not bad.

  • @imarchello

It appears that you can get about tenfold the strength - 150 kgs like 15 kgs

  • Good to know what he is talking about...

  • this would be great for construction workers, hospital nurses, actually you can use this for just about anyting. i would use it for my laundry, hate taking the basket with my clothes in it, its heavy like fuk! this suit will surely help me with that

  • How many kg of battery he sayd?...

  • wtf does the suit do? Can it be used to carry up to 200lb's like some US exosuits? can it be used to do fast movements like speed bags and soccer like some US exosuits? no? hmm...

  • aren't each of those bags of rice like 20 pounds each? ok, 60 pounds who can't carry that... i could everything that guy can do in that suit, if you ask me this is a piece o' shit.

  • What does it do? How does this it be useful?

  • So for 12 million Dollars you can carry around 30 pounds of Rice...

  • Ultra fag!

  • what a fag

  • This is bullshit. It might as well be plastic with some lights. Why not demonstrate it with someone who has physical issues to show how it could help people or even have the guy actually lift some crazy heavy object instead of show a simple lock out system that allows weight to be placed.

  • lame, he looks like a little girl. decent range of motion on the exo though \ and it seems it could be usefull for people with disabilities, however holding up lots of rice doesn't seem practical .... : ( japanese ppl piss me off

  • @TheDvd128 japanese people piss you off? why did they beat you up at school : ( so sad. sTFU you racist bastard.

  • you do know they developed a heavy duty suit specially for construction workers, so i dont see how the american version is superior from what i can see is a box of electronic mess

  • Comment removed

  • this isnt a movie, jackass.

  • how much cost this suit?

  • nice suit , remenber this is just the begining

  • show me the model dude (the american one).

your obviously american.

  • yea but unlike what you think of americans i like alot of japanese things such as that ninja show they made... and sushi. but the suit looks like its made out of plastic... the america exo suit is metal and can left over 200 pounds.

  • You would want a lighter material in order to cut down on energy expended by the suit.

  • but lighter material is weaker then heavier metals such as steel.

  • the strength of the suit does not come from the material it is made out of but from the motors powering the joints and ligatures of the limbs. Those motors are powered by an energy pack. Lighter materials = longer lasting power = more strength. It's kind of like how the Americans approached their cars. Bigger = tougher = better. Not always the case.

  • if the japanese suit was to punch the americans suit then the japanese suit would shatter. because it is made out of plastic. and even if the motor is stronger the constuct of it is weak therefore picking up a heavy weight will break the construction. and will end up in breaking your arm. our Bigger, thougher, better is why we our tanks came in top place in the top 10 tanks in the world!.

  • Right... so you're going to add a couple hundred pounds of weight to the suit and overstress the motors even more. Makes a lot of sense to me.

  • who cares about the god damn motors it can be replaced! dude. anyways our is built better then theirs. ours is military standard theirs is civilian standard

  • @commandotoy There are smart metals, and even plastics that are light yet are as strong if not stronger than high carbon steel.

  • haha your funny.. why do you fight so hard for this japanese machine. and anyways the demintrasted on the smallest japanese man there, he probly weights in around 100 pounds

  • 'NO I was just pointing out a fact.. I am a metallurgist. Do I have to explain to you what that is..?'

If your going to make remarks at least know the facts.

  • @Darkphoenix3450

i sorry my bad thought i was talking to witioni since we have been argueing for awhile.

  • @commandotoy .

not always , the suit could be made in carbon and you are going to have the same (see better) mechanical resistance , and the suit gonna be more light

  • why show off how strong the suit is by picking up the thinnest asian... should of picked up a sumo be more of a challenge :P

  • is it possible to run in that thing?

  • Dont believe a word of it :)

  • @TheNagatoyuki pff jajajaja

  • Do you know how much the batterie last on that suite?

  • weird music cool suit

  • jhh

  • it go up to x10 powa

  • this robot suit is controlled via bioelectric sensors attached to the skin which can detect signals that are sent from brain to muscles.

it is for people that have some partially disabilities in moving their muscles .

  • oh wow, you can read...hahaha its ok, i just read an article about it too (^_^)

  • 'bout bloody time someone learned to read brain signals. Hope implants are coming up next! :D

  • it is for people have spinal disability.

  • sensacional excelente noticia para los discapacitados

  • Amazing tech. Life imitating art ass in Japanese anime robot themed movies and series. "Must Be Able to Lift 50lbs" will no longer be on job applications in America in the near future. LOL :-)

  • You guys watch the CGI Anime movie "Vexille"...and you'll know the use of this robot suit...

  • they tried to fool us didnt they,

THATS A DUDE IN A ROBOT SUIT!

  • actually this power suit is used to assist people to carry heavy things with out hurting there backs.

specially nurses when they need to carry patients

  • what is that for ?

i have a strong feeling that it is for people who cant walk

  • That's for carring heavy stuff.

Those plastic bags have got rice inside, and each bag weighs 10 kg.

  • Comment removed

  • if you jump in that suit will you jump super high?

  • @tobikiti haha no shit sherlock!

  • yeah right whos gonna spend like 3000+ for a suit to carry rice?? -_-

  • ... actually, i believe it was designed for people with nerve damage so they could walk again. as quoted from a friend of a friend. X'D Makes more sense if that's what theyre going for.

  • mucho floro

  • please someone who is japanese or lives in japan, tell me what´s the newest technology gadget or robot.i can´t believe that how much japan is ahead of us in finland...:D

  • ..... uhmmm what? o_O

  • What your butt?

    XD

  • This one is in production, as well as a legs-only version. All the American suits I know of are still in development.

  • y si queres hacer caca?

  • When are they gonna make a time machine? I want to move to 1920 before cyberdine takes over!

  • that´s not tha same demonstation guy !!

  • Hahahaahahah!

I like how the guy has that facial expression of like..."fuck yeah, look at me in my robot suit."

  • if the signals are there, but weak, why not amplify them and reapply to patients muscles back? and what happen if the paralysis is caused by the lack of nerve signal altogether?

  • this is good for paraylised below the waist, but not neck because people will not be able to pick things up still and also urinate etc

its great for below the waist.

  • i like how in the demonstration of the strength the guy holds his arm out strait and the guy in the suit rests all the weight on his shoulder...

  • This technology is a scam in Japan, The mechanism limbs are only connected by cables that don't retract. Without an internal frame there is no support from this exo-suit, Until I see him lifting barbells or bench pressing Its fake to me.

  • It uses the signals from your brain and reacts faster than your muscles.

  • Little more detail, how exactly is it reacting? Is the suit contracting itself? Is it retracting using cables or magnets or applying magnifying voltage from the brain signals and injecting directly into the muscle? Without and internal frame for support I don't see how its exactly improving his strength. Also check out the sony's "Rolly" mp3 player

  • sensors atached to the skin detect the weak signal from your brain to your muscle even before your muscle reacts.. this is the reason of the strength improvement.. the robot is moving the same way and at the same tie you are trying to move yourself.. and since it is atached tou your body.. your body takes support on the robot.. so you kind of rest while hal oes all the work.. get it? =)

  • you couln't be more stupid could you?

  • Watch your keystroke little boy.

  • you watch yours little man.. and dont post non-sense comments.. hating comments..

  • leave it alone and your the one who called him dumb, in my eyes both of you dont have a life

  • and you are...

  • Thankful Im not you. Replying would be pointless so just move on and prove yourself move valuable.

  • Truly the Japanese are advanced enough to consider creating this...

  • one step close to Iron Man. This is a primitive Iron Man. It's still sick though.

  • the presenter needs the suit WAY more

  • wonderful!

  • one step closer to a SPARTAN suit

  • i wonder if he can like jump... or move fast..

  • Do they make them in different sizes? I'm 6,4" thats 193cm I don't think the one that guy is wearing could fit bigger people.

  • LOL at the end, he touch the man's boob xD

  • This kind of thing could give a new life and new hope to people who are currently bound to wheelchairs, or with other disabilities that hinder their movements

  • ROCKMAN!

  • i'm not saying the suit dosnt work but each of thos bags of rice probably way 20 pounds each so all together thats about 60 witch a lot of people could hold like that. Then when he was holding that guy its not like a lot of people cant hold another person there size or bigger like that with little effort.

  • it's for handicap people. The suit is created for people with physical disabilities; of course anyone who can carry 3 bags of rice would much rather carry it without the support of the suit.

  • can he run?

  • COOL!!

  • ARE YOU KIDDING!!!
