hey carnal puedes hacer un tutorial de teoria para proncipiantes de jazz??? me late un buen pero mecuesta trabajo domino el blues, pero el jazz....pff no puedo =(
I i intend to buy an acoustic guitar for jazz etc.
I also want a fully acoustic guitar for playing songs and strumming along. The thing is, I don't have so much money so i thought I take one guitar for both my needs.
Beautiful playing and gorgeous tone ! I have an AF75 as well, but I'm dissatisfied with the jazz tone. Have you done any mods to the guitar ? Different neck pickup perhaps ?
@fredcdobbes no, it have the same like stock guitars, for the sound i tried to turn down the tone knob of neck pick up (around 3-4) and sounds better to me... btw thanks and regards
@fredcdobbes I tried an AF75 the other day as I'm after a Jazz box, I think swapping the neck pickup out for an Alnico II humbucker would help massively as the stock pickups are ceramic. There's a few clips on my profile of the Bare Knuckle Stormy Monday which I would be think would give you a great 50's Jazz tone.
Nice clip here BTW ferlice, nice guitars these are!
@menamestom I've read that about the Alnico II as well. My solution, at least for now, was to replace the neck pup with a humbucker sized P90 and replace the floating bridge with an ebony one from Stewmac. Gives the AF75 a really 50's old school jazz sound. So far so good.
Felicitaciones.
Adorable playing, smooth chords. Pleasure to listen. Iam looking myself for getting one AF75. Wanna start with jazz(which I love), now playing some basic things and some elemntary blues on my flattop acoustic. Thanks for this.
sublime.. tienes un talento enorme, transmites mucho la cancion, un gusto escuchar gente como vos haciendo musica.. gracias por un lindo momento! saludos desde argentina
what s the dif between the af and ag 75s??? i just ordered a ag 75 hope i ddint get it wrong i wnat a nice jazz tone that my tele and strat cant quite nail
This is sweet. Amazing tone from this Ibanez! Anyone can shred in D or blues/rock in E or A, and it's gotten mighty boring to hear demos of good gear badly misused with gain and effects. This video is a demo of tone and music theory. Anybody know what tone is? How about some arpeggiated chords? Listen to this guy. Go back to the woodshed and learn some chops if this isn't ear candy.
it works good for me to turn down the tone control (3-4) and the volume (8) on the neck PU and firts set your amp in flat and the listen an make the adjustment in ur amp..that will make a nice jazz warm tone regards
Gonzalo, the AG series has a smaller body, much closer to the size of a Les Paul. I'm looking forward to picking up a new Ibanez soon: the AK-80, with a spruce top (which apparently is the wood the really high-quality jazzers (Peerless, d'Angelico and the Ibanez George Benson models). I tried an AG, too. The AF75 has a fuller tone imo.
highly. highly unlikely sir. Hollow bodies are pieces of art in and of themselves. Whereas punk is the complete opposite. Get an IceMan for punk. This guitar is meant for exactly as it looks. Sitting and playing something beautiful, not playing something you headbang to.
I beg to differ, sir. I own one of these boys and although it does indeed sound sweet when you're playing jazz, when you crank up the overdrive it can make some truly fearsome noises.
Thanks , it's very refreshing to watch and listen to something musical on you-tube instead of the total losers trying to play 70 gazzillion notes per second .....
Absolutamente lindo, puedes poner un video de classe sobre esse solo magnifico? Gracias, saludos de Brasil. CB

Hello in Mexico my friend.
I just got an Ibanez semi-hollow. Not as well rounded as your jazz box here. But same pickups I am sure.
I run through a peavey classic 30. Just a 1x12 tube amp. And a solid state amp.
Any E.Q. suggestions?
Thanks!
