What I find interesting is that the worst fighting in WWII was on the Eastern front between the Soviets and Germany and 65 years later what do we have? Germany lost 1/3 of its land. The Soviets are pushed back to Minsk, with a similar loss of land. Poland, attacked from east and west and defveated, is probably larger than in 1939. Somewhere there is a lesson here.
