well the driver just blew 20 grand into a shitbox so IF he would of bought a less expensive and good car he could of bought a supercharge to go with it
god that grand prix has to the be the ugliest damn car ive ever seen. honestly who gives a shit if its fast. its like a really fat ugly bitch thats good in bed.
@yamaha825 In my opinion civics have absolutly nothing good looking about them. EXTREMELY boring looking..... One of those cars that you just walk past without even looking at it. A nice clean grand prix has some aggressive styling that could at least catch someones eye. Honda isnt ballsy enough to try something aggressive. ... But thats why they are called OPINIONS!
im sorry but i heard a little woosh from the civic? someone dumped 3 grand into a car that cant beat a stock gt that governs at 106... wat a big pile of rice, go grand prix
grand prix holds the record for fastest fwd car in the world so quit saying if that civic was modded cause we will just mod the prix more and have it run a 8.6 at 156mph!
@jthaoz y the fuck would u s/c a damn civic? its pointless, no matter what there still torque less wonders, my pontiac sunflower has right at the same torque as a si witch is sad
Ha my GT runs 14.5 usually. depends on how fast i am off the start. But then again mines an '07 GT with a few mods....Smaller pulley for the s/c, cold air intake, got rid of that pos rev limiter, and changed up the shift times and shit.
Apparently not to recently then. Pontiac offered 3 trims in 06, 07. The stock GP, The s/c GT, and the v8 GXP. 05 was the last year they offered the GTP. In 08 the removed the GT model and just had the base and the GTP. Look it up and get your facts straight before you open your mouth.
Lol damn that was a stupid thing to say. We're obviously talking about a certain generation of Grand Prixs here nit wit. Open your eyes before opening your mouth.
@tyl3rjon3s My mistake, i see that i had made a typo in my second reply. 08 is the year they only offered two models. Sorry for the mistake. As you can tell in my first response i didn't make the mistake... I myself have an 07 gt so i should know better. Very sorry for the typo guys.
well 15.7 defently slow my gt b4 top swap with intake and upgraded tranny ran 15.3 the gtp ran stock 14.8 so that was slow. but my gt runs 13.88 (top swap) with gt badging still. i eat hondas alive there soft
The GP has the GTP badging, but the time was 15.7 for it.... dang, the weather must have sucked! good kill GTP, show that rice rocket owner how much money he wasted!
man i fell asleep watching them run down the track, woke back up, took a shower, got some lunch and came back and the civic was just getting ready to cross the finish line. and i agree deff a GT not a GTP. unless he just didnt want to here the ricer cry about lossing by so much so he deicded to make it look closer. ha ha
jajaja thats not even a GTP... GTP's makes mid 14's or close 15's... but not 15.7 wtf?? or that is a GT with mods or that GTP is not workin properly and yeah im pretty sure that is a Si
Ok guys I'm tire of reading dumb comments. HERE'S THE BOTTOM LINE. This is a GT grand prix, or they are racing in the mountains. My Gtp has 150k miles on it, And I ran 14.7 stock! This car put up a 15.7 WTF. This civic probably isn't an Si either b/c It ran close to 16 if not a 16
all u idiots talkin bout droppin pulley sizes without supporting mods...stfu u know nothing about forced induction engines...ur prolly all ricers with a folgers can for muffler and a homemade CAI.N00bs!!!
you are one of the most uneducated kids on youtube...first of all...do u know what supporting mods are? do u know what dropping a pully means and DOES?...why dont u tell me what happens when u drop a pully size
u fuckin dumbass...smaller pully=more boost...if u think u can drop pully sizes to anything less than a 3.5 with no supporting mods such as cam, rockers, headers or downpipe depending how small u go a intercooler is agood route...ur bound to chip a piston so stfu dont try and school me on a car that i own n00b.
it all depends,a car with a 3.4 and everything else stock might have 18* KR and car running the exact same mod may 0* to whatever KR.Scanner is a must when dropping pully sizes.Unless u wanna take the chance of cooking a piston over time.
Wow that's a pretty slow GTP..but it depends on elevation. Lt1Killer01GT my GTP ran 14.8 with an intake and downpipe, 14.2-14.3's with the 3.4..13.8-14.0's with an exhaust system and ported TB..u had a slow GTP oh yeah and if you took that 3.35 off I'm sure it'll perform a lot better with a 3.5 (that's probably why you ran 14.8's).
well for 1 the civic is A LOT lighter car, and 2, you dont know what was done to either of those cars...that coulda been a stock gtp and a modded Si. The si also had different rims on the front which means it could have had slicks or sticky tires and the gtp probly had just regular tires
Wow! I didn't notice the Si wheels, but the Si is a little too silent. At the end i notice the Grand Prix passed a 15.75 at 88Mph, So now I'm starting to question if its a real GTP. Send me some videos of some good races when you find some.
GTPs run 15.2s stock.Had a 99 i added a 3.35 pulley k&n intake and flowmaster exhaust it ran a 14.8 with those bolt ons there rly not that fast at all,not to mention there not that reliable.Thats why i bought an 01 GT and so far not fixes or repairs and two years.lol GM sucks
uh. no. do some research first. GTP's are RATED for 15.2 down the 1/4. My sister has a bone stock '98 GTP and it does 14.7. GTP's have a broad range of 1/4 mile time. stock times can range from 14.2-15.3. most will do 14.7 stock though. Sometimes, it's just luck of the draw... and how well you take care of the car.
How would i have to do research man?I owned a 99 GTP with a smaller pulley exhaust and intake and i ran 14.8s everytime. But u rly make no sense man with u saying a GTP can run 14.2-15.3s?Just to prove a point how dumb u rly are my 01 gt ran 14.2s stock with 20 more hp than a GTP and weighing about 200 pounds less so its impossibe for a stock GTP to run 14.2s drive one then come back as reply to this mess
you never had a gtp ur lying u wanna know how i know u are because pully size's don't go up in .05 they never made a 3.35 for gtp's if you did have one you never changed the pully and if you did have them mod's u would have been throwing a check engine light unless u got a pcm($120) which would get rid of that and your car would be much faster then that if you did have that part my 98 has a 3.4pully, pcm, 3" catless downpipe, k&n intake 13.87sec search GTPs wit those mods doin 13.7s
oh yeah my gtp has 143k on it never rebuilt with those parts and i race it ever week plus it's a daily driver if you take care of a car you can do that oh yeah forgot to tell you i also have a 160 T-sat and auto lite spake plugs and that 13.8 was without power braking(rev'in the rpm's with your foot on the brake for faster lunchs)i did that b/c i was race my brother for money didn't race any more that day because my check engine light came on turned out to be the gas cap. if i p-brake its faster
Dude, thats a grand Prix GT, they run 15.5 to 15.9's stock, now way thats a GTP, they run atleast a 14.5 or lower. mid to high 14 sec car stock. And if their both stock and the gt owned the si, thats just sad. Civics Blow.
o look a slow civic must not have a engine swap or a turbo on it altho if i saw a civic pull up to me on the track id pull of and wait for sumthin worth raceing to pull up
my gp does high 13 on a cold day and mid 14 on a nice day, and all i did was intake, exhaust, and ramair. hell, im satisfied, not bad for under $2000.
it cost you around 2 grand for that? Dude, ever heard of ebay lol? You can get full exhaust kits for the gtp's for about $400 and the intake is just a 45 degree 4" tube followed by a $70 k&n filter. Ram air hoods are like 200 bucks, so really you could have bought all of that stuff for under a grand.
Thats the time of a Grand Prix GT, from 15.6-15.9...Budddy you have to get your info right, just like the video you posted of you racing a GT, and saying its a GTP.
on what planet? because i know you're not talking about earth. civics are good cars and honda's track record on building quality cars beats the hell out of pontiac's.
