I am so thankful that Jesus loves me, even though i dont always show my gratitude. I am not proud of my thoughts and deeds, but im glad that Jesus takes them from me and makes them His own. I often find it hard to "feel" forgiven, ive said, thought, and done things that i am ashamed of, i am unworthy of the title "Christian". Lord forgive me, i have sinned, even today. I deserve nothing more than eternal hellfire, but through the power of Christ, i am held blameless before God.

As much as I like a lot of the contemporary worship songs, the old hymns are chock full of Christ and what he did on Calvary's Cross on our behalf.

It is only when we get honest with ourseves and God that, aside from Him, we are worthy only of death and eternal Hell will we appreciate these beautiful hymns of the faith. Oh how wonderful and marvelous Lord Jesus is your love for us, sinful and wretched as we are, HALLELUJAH!!!!!
