Man, I wish I could've been riding along in the cab when that happened. I would like to have seen (and heard) the engineer handle that slippery situation.
@fredstuckmann Thanks Fred! I bet you guys dreaded the thought of doubling! Especially a night that it was raining, or snowing. I bet if the rail was wet here, they may have not made it. Thanks for watching...
@johnyboy087 Thanks! Utah Rwy is still running everyday, and putting on shows like this. I can't wait to head out there again. Soon I hope! Thanks for watching...
@1jackdk Thanks for the complements! I just noticed I wasn't subscribed to your channel. Don't know how I missed that. Sorry bout that. I subbed, and will check yours out. Take care....
Great video as always.... I'm surprised they were slipping so bad, its hard to find a more sure-footed engine than an SD40-2 and especially 4 of them together !
@Mogadad1 Thanks! Glad you enjoy them. I try to explain each video a little, so the veiwer gets some kind of idea whats going on. If there are questions? I do my best to get them the answer...

Very nice, I can remember hearing and feeling the wheel slips and at night seeing
the wheel slip light coming on again and again and wondering whether we would
have to double the hill. Nice video Jack, thanks.

Wow. That's an amazing grade. Were there any helper engines in the middle or at the rear?
bluecomet390 2 months ago
@bluecomet390 This was an empty train, so there was no helpers anywhere on this train. Thanks for watching...
