  • Excellent channel

  • the movie can play watch online instantly on netflix

  • I don't care she's a lesbian she's a beautiful woman.

  • @thugz00 so she is the chracter Blue Rain in real life. thats grate i wish some people would stop making that a big deal people should more focause on the humabeings craft witch is there gift insted of there sexuality, gender and exsetra.

  • What happened to this dude? Was he in a fire or get hit by a semi-trailer. I feel so sorry for people who are put on display just to amuse us like Gabourey and this guy. Hollywood should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of the physically handicapped and calling it entertainment.

  • i'm writing a novel simular to Push, but it won't be about teen pregnancy, rape or anything. I'm working on it right now and it's called Pull.

  • @2:06 she says wanted someone young and light on their feet, then she says she was never on the set but she new sibodey was "perfect for the role", ... sibuodey is niether young (26, does not look like a 15year old), and she can hardly be decribed as light footed, people, this is a piss take of a movie, do you not see it!!!!

  • "Arrogant and up in my head"

    Yep. totally described herself there.

  • did anybody see the movie??

  • was sapphire supposed to be precious?

  • Sapphire is awesome, she needs to come to my school to give a talk :)

  • ah, the muteness turning into a voice.... great insight that helps me alot:)

  • I am very eager to see the movie and of course read the book. I wondering which I will do first. Right now I am watching previews of the movie, and finding more facts about the story from the writer on the internet. So far the movie looks interesting, but I am very into details therefore, I can read the book.

  • If there's any movie featuring a black cast,I'm curious about the content of the story and whose directing and producing it.There are black people in hollywood who I have problems with like Lee Daniels who had a hand in Monster's Ball and Precious. That crap called The Blind Slide was the male version of Precious and I'm sure a white person called the shots on that horrible movie pimping a negative black image.

  • I agree 100% . I hate these kind of black movies. Crapping on black men. A Color Purple is another one.

  • Why do alot of our sista support this shit from these coon.

  • @lisatina69 , I don't agree or believe that Color Purple "crapped" on black men. ALL men looked bad in that film, not just black men. To me the film/book seemed more about "women" than color since everyone in the material was black with the exception of a few minor white characters (who looked bad).

  • @lisatina69

I think you lost the point.

  • @mightyblack1

I understand your point. But shit like this does happen to our people. Are we supposed to ignore it for fear of bringing up "negative stereotypes"? I don't think so, because I know that although Precious is a Black woman, her story is not what all Black people face. It's another facet of Black life and is an important story I don't think the problem is showing this aspect of Black life. I think we need to stop worrying about what happens and focus on telling our stories.

  • She look like a "I hate real black men " dike.

  • That's not fair, hell she might be a nice lady.

  • lisatina69

Both the book and film were excellent although the film had to be 'sanitized to avoid a 'NC-17' or 'X' rating. Also the 'real' Precious in the book is much, much taller, bigger, and darker-complected than Gabourey Sidibe. I guess they couldn't find any 6'7", 400-lb. women whose complexion matches new black clothes in a department store who could perform as well as Gabourey Sidibe, lol!

  • She do and she hate herself too.

  • @mightyblack1 how do you think we've been tricked... i'm curious

  • Damn,if you can't see all the different stereotype images of our people from hollywood and from the media.

  • @mightyblack1 to be honest i didnt, i just saw an extremely unfortunate case. i think we should pay attn to the issue and the message and not the colour of the person who is showing them to us..

  • i just read the book push the other day........and all i can say is.....AMAZING!!

  • She is one of my favorite writers. I love her work!!!

  • Watch Movies like Precious: Based on the Novel Push - Sapphire Interview at W W W . TV-Video . us

  • its based on many true stories VantiGia.

  • ok soooo the novel and the movie isn't based on true story then right?

  • @VataniGia: According to Sapphire, it was a collaboration of cases she saw as a social worker and teacher. In a sense, everyone knows a Precious from the incest, low self esteem, teen pregnancy, poverty, and more.

  • @ladyrt23 so dose that make sapphire mrs Rain in real life

  • no.. but you also cant make up a story like that..but its not based on a true story

  • Wow. So this is Sapphire!
