The person crying is Lewis and i believe if i remember right he was in the singoff with Daniel. Its an emotional time for them all as its the time of make or break for them. Lewis came so close to having his dream smashed and loosing out on the career of a lifetime. Watch some of the other videos to see more of the competition.

He was the only one to try for that super-big finish and come so close to ultimately pulling it off. As much of a Craig-fan I was(still am) Daniel had by far, the best voice in the group. And then he had other faults that made him just, not Joseph. Otherwise I love the guy! I think he was underestemated. Gonna' buy his CD!

so this episode has yet to air in the US. yes, we are 2 years behind. but i found a clip where Lloyd Weber said something about how he didn't feel that Daniel was going to be a west end star... did I hear him wrong? This man is going to be a big star... Look at where he is now, after leaving this show, 2 years later. he's recording a CD, he's in Avenue Q, and he is being recognized and loved by many. I am POSITIVE that he will have a career in the west end for many many many years to come!

However Daniel was always fighting an uphill battle with this show simply bcuase he was in no way suited to the role of offer. I've seen him in Avenue Q and he was great but he really wouldn;t have worked as Joseph despite his considerable tallent. Thats all there is to it in my opinion.

@uncleangus the premise of the show was to reinvent Joseph, as ALW said at the very beginning of the show... somebody different... unfortunately, Lee wasn't very different... but it is all about the look... why put it up for the people to vote, if ALW is just gonna do it all himself... either way, they both have wonderful careers now, and though I don't like the outcome of this show, I still think it all worked out for the better...

I do not understand why Andrew Lloyd Webber did not choose him for the winner. Maybe that is why he cannot make a big world-wide hit after his divorce with Sarah Brightman.
