The tempo is perfect; the reverb is heavenly; the interpreter masterful, the composer a genius, the hymn's melody and creator saints, Dank sei Gott in der höhe !

As someone who has played the console in a church with such reverb, I can appreciate the sheer concentration he keeps to the end.

Diese Aufnahme beweist ebenso wie die bahnbrechende Reger-Gesamteinspielung von Rosalinde Haas an der Albiez-Orgel (1979) in Frankfurt, dass man auf Orgeln dieser Baujahre wunderbar auch Reger zu Gehör bringen kann.. und zwar so, dass alle Stimmen der Fuge wunderbar durchhörbar sind und nicht ein romantischer Klangklumpen von der Empore rollt und den Zuhörer erschlägt....

Io personalmente , e la mia opinione e' strettamente personale, quindi non vuole convincere nessuno, non lo sopporto molto.

Siccome lo studio e lo eseguo spesso, lo conosco. E' terribilmente difficile, troppo, e secondo me' non ha senso arrivare al di la' dei limiti .

Francamente Bach e' l'organo e altro se non tutto, Reger no'!

Ma e' solo una mia modestissima opinione.

Wish we could see the organist perform.

Most of the complex inner voices in this marvelous work cannot be discerned here.

Die Abschiedsmusik der Christenheit hat er da geschrieben, der Herr Reger. Auf zum Individuum, zu solchen wie J.S. Bach. Hin zu undurchsichtiger, chromatischer Ordnung. Das ist die Musik Max Reger's !

Immer wieder geil Friedrich Fröschle während der Mitternachtsmette live zu erleben *LOL* Grundsätzlich immer schneller als der Gesang der Gemeinde. Lohnt sich schon allein deswegen in die Kirche zu gehen.

Diese bedeutende Orgel wurde in den Jahren 1967-1969 von der Fa. Walcker erbaut. 100 Register auf 5 Manualen und Pedal, mit 8900 Pfeifen.
