honestly I stopped watching pro boxing a 10 years ago because of the politics and bullshit judging. I saw this fight on the tv in the lobby where I work and watched it. Loved the fight and then came the decision and I remembered why I stick to watching local amatuer boxing matchs in my area and dont bother with the pros.

IMO the judges need to be in a better position to score a fight.
The judges sit ringside looking up to view (score)a fight.Realy i dont think this is the best seat to score a fight from.When the boxers have there backs to the judges how are they going to be able to see whats going on or who's connecting with what.
I think it would be best if they moved the judges to a higher positioning and score a fight from a booth higher up so theres no blind spots.

Boxing isn't necessarily dying but it is sinking a little. It will float up a bit later though, but as of right now MMA is like a roller coaster. It's starting off raising to the top like many roller coasters but once it gets there it will experience some things along the way like boxing has but I don't see MMA having trouble for at least a few more years.

Well Boxing does have Pavlik and the recently retired Calzaghe. But MMA is a sport that requires somebody to have expirence in many fighting forms. Boxing is only boxing, which means if the other guy is a better boxer then most likely your going to lose. In MMA you can be a great boxer and still lose because maybe the guys great at stand up but crap on the ground. Many ways to win in MMA.

I was at this fight and the score should of been way closer if not paulie winning. What hurt him besides being in Texas, he did bust up his eye but that was an elbow, he ran, he led with his shoulder and he hit alot of gloves.

MMA has trash decisions too. Just refer back to the Rich Franklin-Dan Henderson fight and the Forrest Griffin-Tito Ortiz fight for examples. Dana White will make sure that his "faces" win. Same thing happens in MMA.

as a boxer sometimes u fight elsewhere, there are hometown decisions you have to accept, and paulie definitely got robbed by 2 judges, but he did not clearly win this fight, you have to get respect by landing stiff jabs and real punches with power in them, it was clear diaz landed the only really meaningful punches in this fight, and paulie ran and thought he was jones jr. but watch roy last week, he was throwing mean body shots, not once did paulie actually deliver a meaningful hard shot!

It's about time a fighter freaked out at being blatently robbed. I don't see this kind of acceptance of crookedness in other sports. Hell, after the fight Kellerman tried to say why politics decided the winner of this fight, like it's just something that happens.
I would hope that this gets judges looked at more closely in the future, but it won't. This judge will get to go on, and if he feels like it, he can rob again.

IMO the judges need to be in a better position to score a fight.
The judges sit ringside looking up to view (score)a fight.Realy i dont think this is the best seat to score a fight from.When the boxers have there backs to the judges how are they going to be able to see whats going on or who's connecting with what.
I think it would be best if they moved the judges to a higher positioning and score a fight from a booth higher up so theres no blind spots.
The judging in boxing is a BIG problem.

Boxing isn't necessarily dying but it is sinking a little. It will float up a bit later though, but as of right now MMA is like a roller coaster. It's starting off raising to the top like many roller coasters but once it gets there it will experience some things along the way like boxing has but I don't see MMA having trouble for at least a few more years.

Well Boxing does have Pavlik and the recently retired Calzaghe. But MMA is a sport that requires somebody to have expirence in many fighting forms. Boxing is only boxing, which means if the other guy is a better boxer then most likely your going to lose. In MMA you can be a great boxer and still lose because maybe the guys great at stand up but crap on the ground. Many ways to win in MMA.

I was at this fight and the score should of been way closer if not paulie winning. What hurt him besides being in Texas, he did bust up his eye but that was an elbow, he ran, he led with his shoulder and he hit alot of gloves.

He is right, this is why Boxing sucks and MMA is going to surpass it. Besides being dirty, which is a well defined reality to anyone not willingly blind, Boxing is sliding into degeneracy where no one even can say for certain what judges are basing their decisions on. It is obviously not on historic scoring rules of boxing in most cases. Anyone who pays money to see Boxing seriously needs their head examined. It is not delivering what is advertised and is anything but the sweet science now.

as a boxer sometimes u fight elsewhere, there are hometown decisions you have to accept, and paulie definitely got robbed by 2 judges, but he did not clearly win this fight, you have to get respect by landing stiff jabs and real punches with power in them, it was clear diaz landed the only really meaningful punches in this fight, and paulie ran and thought he was jones jr. but watch roy last week, he was throwing mean body shots, not once did paulie actually deliver a meaningful hard shot!

Which fight did Hopkins, Whitikar, Spinks or Camacho throw 934 punches and land 170 ???...and win ??? Diaz dictated the pace, while Malignaggi was backing up. If you are a boxer and you think the fight will be fixed as Paulie did, then COME HARD !! The final punch stats told the story.
