  • Where did you find this exercise, i cant really see the rhythmic part of the tabs so thats a pity

  • @JimJimJimNL I composed it as an exercise.

. It is all the same note value. 16th note triplets.

  • @highintel 6

    Thanks!

  • @JimJimJimNL If you have Guitar Pro I can email you the tabs or if you know of a Public forum I can upload it.. Ultimate Guitar rejected it for some reason.

  • @highintel

I already made it in a guitar pro file myself, thanks anyway!

  • Wow, that just blew my mind. I've been sweeping for about a week now, and im playing your stuff at about one quarter speed. Once you started sweeping about how long did it take you to work up to that speed

  • @TheBraxtonsmith Thank you!!! I would say it took about 4 years of playing total to play as fast as i can.

  • @highintel That makes a lot of sense! So just practicing a little everyday gets your speed up?

  • Excellent

  • @loveguitars Thank you!

  • i never would have thought that was a 3 1 6 4 / bt then my ear training and sight reading is less than preliminary_ what is going on in the jam track it overall sounds like inverted 6ths or something????????????????????????????

  • @psy42263 I just used strait major7 or minor7 chords for the backing track

  • how long have u been playing guitar?

  • @Ibanez1237 almost 21 years.

  • @highintel Nice Great video and Awsome sweeping skills! Keep up the good work!

  • i used to sweep like that but then i took an arrow to the knee

  • That was so beautiful~

I probably won't get a reply to this but I was just curious, before sweeping in a fast sweeping how much playing years did you have? I've been playing for 1 year on the electric and one on an acoustic before that and i'm still not able to sweep, the best I can do it 3-strings sweeping which isn't clean at all if I go above 300 something BPM.

  • @MrGuitarFail Thank you!!! i could sweep as fast as I can now in about 2 years. Started with the typical 3 stringer myself then went to 5 and 6 string sweeps.

  • @highintel Thank you for the reply!, for how long have you been playing?, I was really inspired to continue learning how to sweep after watching this video.

99.99% of bands nowadays or to be exact, their guitarists just play a mix of notes fastly trying to show off forgetting about the music and that gave me a really bad expression about the tenquick "Sweep Picking" but your just sounds so beautiful and with somewhat emotions.

  • @MrGuitarFail the 25th of this month i will have been playing 21 years. I am glad this inspired you!

yea, If I listen to Paganini, I am thinking, wow Paganini was Amazing. not wow that guy playing paganini's music is awesome. Everybody is so busy trying to be the best player that they forget that the composition is the only thing that matters.

  • i love it men.very clean two tumbs up for you men!

  • thanks is good to hear a compliment from someone who plays a lot like you, big hug!

  • Man wow, that is clean so clean!!!!!my congrats :) beautiful

  • @149MrSimo Thank you ;)

  • i just keep watching over and over again.

how long have you been playing guitar???

  • @psp123ization 21 years in December...A Long time ;) thanks for watching ;)

  • wtf u fucking serious? dude you put me to shame O_O can you put the tabs please ? thank's master O_o

  • @GamersDemos Just use full screen and pause the video. the tabs are accurate ;) Thanks brotha!!!

  • @highintel ya spoke to soon sorry :) i ment a way to download them cuz i wanted to print them, how long it took for u to learn this eargasming lick ?

  • @GamersDemos I could try to Upload it to ultimate-guitar as a Guitar Pro File...I'll Let you know. The riff I wrote just messing with Arpeggios and different timing. Thanks man!!!

  • @highintel thank's too buddy, ur a god :)

  • my face..... its melting

  • any chance to download the tabs?

  • @555Lemmy666 Maybe I can upload them to Ultimate-guitar... I'll get back to you.

  • Yea TIming is SOOOOO Crucial so all you little shredders out there go slowwwww with timing. And watch Brian's video that has the SECRET to sweeping cleanly

  • @guitarstudent101 Indeed!!!!!

  • Great playing! speed

  • @GuitarJackie7 Thank you!

  • awsume :) how often do you practice and when you do how long if you dont mind me asking :)

  • @RodneySTR It depends.. I didn't touch my guitar yesterday but played 6hrs for the previous 3 days. I have to take a break because my fingers go numb from Carpel Tunnel Syndrome that I developed at age 18 or so.

I usually don't practice though. I just learn new songs or just improvise. I will spend about an hour on my technique then just play for as long as I feel.

  • this is sooo sick. i wanna hear the rest.

  • @datblkkidjason That's pretty much all I have for that. Just an exercise, but If I Incorporate it into a song I'll post it ;) Thanks

  • @highintel Oh by the way, what kind of axe are u wielding?

  • @datblkkidjason This one is an RGT 42DXFX which I bought for the solid tail but to be honest it hurts my hand to play it because the neck is a little thicker than what I am used to.

  • @highintel oh nice. sounds great, or it could be the amp lol. i dont think ibanez makes those models anymore. i got a rg350ex. its pretty sweet.

your hands look meaty and big, so i can see why thats problematic. my hands are small and boney so it fits well. but i love that flat thin neck.

  • @datblkkidjason haha, yea, I've been told I have Bass Players hands.

  • @highintel what kind of necks are you used to?

  • @datblkkidjason I grew into an RG 770 from age 14 to 20 so now everything else feels strange.

  • sweet ride!

  • @MrStripyHead Thanks man!!! Cheers!

  • This is awesome. Incorporating tapping into my sweeps is what I am having trouble with. I think I just need to practice to get it sounding clean.

  • @Nameless742 That's all I did. I'd love to hear it when you get it ;)

  • Wow ! Great !

I'm going to learn it now :)

  • @tomek1995v8 Do IT!!! ;)

  • !!! Your playing is always clean as hell! Nice!

  • @thismika18 Thank you!

  • super smooth playing and great lesson :)

  • @RobertoRestuccia Thank you!

  • beautiful shapes man, i shall learn from the master ~~~~~

could you pls tell what you use to create the backing track.....thanks

  • @vasinstreet Thank you man ;) I used Acoustica Beatcraft for the drums, and Guitar Pro for the Choir Aah's and Piano Track. Imported them into Vegas Pro (Or any audio recording program) matched the tempo and rendered it as WAV file.

  • @highintel that was fast!, thanks a lot for the info.......the piano stuff is splendid!

  • @vasinstreet No prob!! Thank you ;)

  • What a video to wake up to, very nice playing & thanks for the lesson! (:

  • @UKRCyanide Thank you and your welcome ;)

  • Oh yeah!! Awesome lesson buddy, Going to work on this for sure! Your sweeps are the cleanest I've ever heard! I guess the Kiko Loureiro Bar Soap is working pretty good ;P hehe great vid!

  • @EricMaldonadoMusic Thanks so much my friend!!! Yea, back in the Jason Becker Altitudes days that's all I did was sweep sweep sweep. I'm starting to get back into it now that everyone has all these cool applications to it. So Far all I have is my timing but I'm working on some more innovative approaches. KL soap..hehe yea that stuff will cut through even the sloppiest grease ;) Peace Bro!
