No copywrite notice on your content & video is still up on numerous sites so until I received a notice from you I had no way of knowing which of dozens of sites a video can be on & NO it does not take "seconds" to look this stuff up if you are on a off ramp to the stupour information highway in rural Kentucky, I still have to use dial-up on occasion, in case you have not heard there is a "digital divide" between the haves & have nots DSL wise. the American people aren't to be shepherded by politicians. Politicians forget all too often who made them who they are, and people like you, carolynink, are the ones perpetuating it. Ronald Reagan had 275 million bosses. You know who they were? The people who put him there.
America is special. America has a government ruled by the people, not the other way around.
The US, like Rome, was founded as a Republic. Like Rome the politicians slowly converted it to a democracy. When the majority can take from the minority what isn't theirs, it removes the motivation from the productive. Soon there after the system crashes. When you give something to someone who doesn't work for it, you take it from someone who did work for it. You cannot delete poverty by penalizing productivity.
The people who they are trying to help will be those that get hurt the most.
Reagan had a mixed congress. It was evenly split, with a slight advantage to the Republicans. Democrats and Republicans both loved him, and they got things done.
That said, the Dems have enough force to overpower anything the Republicans do. @HerBunk I made NO CLAIM TO HAVE CREATED THE VIDEO IT ARRIVED BY EMAIL WITHOUT ANY ATTRIBUTION AND AFTER I UPLOADED IT THERE WERE OVER 10 copies of it on various other accounts so I had no way of knowing where it came from. If you get my account deleted for our local TV station I will broadcast what you did over the air, If you visited my account rather than lashing out you would have seen the side bar where I said I had received this by email NO WAY FOR ME TO KNOW who created this "Parody"

No copywrite notice on your content & video is still up on numerous sites so until I received a notice from you I had no way of knowing which of dozens of sites a video can be on & NO it does not take "seconds" to look this stuff up if you are on a off ramp to the stupour information highway in rural Kentucky, I still have to use dial-up on occasion, in case you have not heard there is a "digital divide" between the haves & have nots DSL wise. How many sites did you have to send a message to?

Not one mention of how to reduce the cost of health care in any real terms. I have been reading the text of the bill and it spells out a Marxist take over of our entire health care system. What have the feds ever done to eliminate fraud and waste in Medicaid. All of their talk is about limiting health care to seniors and not one word about why a state like New York with 19,000,000 people spends as much as Texas and California combined with 61,000,000 people.

O.K. last post on this topic. George W. Bush inherited a 86.4 billion surplus from Bill Clinton. While in office the national debt rose from 5.7 trillion to 8.3 trillion. Much of what is being spent relates to the cost of war. Bill Clinton also believed in universal health care, I don't remember anyone riding him this hard. I'm sorry but I think most of this is prejudice. Maybe if Rush Limbaugh were president everything would be better.

Those that claim clinton was responsible for the surplus lack a reasonable explaination as to how he got it. Also they do not have an arguement for the effect of unpresidented amounts of money that were spent of retooling and modernizing during the Reagan era. The economy is not a light switch. The results of today won't be felt for years.

He's spending more money than we did on the Iraq War - and World War II, World War I, the Civil War, the space race, and the Cold War combined, even adjusted for inflation. When the majority can take from the minority what isn't theirs, it removes the motivation from the productive. Soon there after the system crashes. When you give something to someone who doesn't work for it, you take it from someone who did work for it. You cannot delete poverty by penalizing productivity.

Reagan had a mixed congress. It was evenly split, with a slight advantage to the Republicans. Democrats and Republicans both loved him, and they got things done.
That said, the Dems have enough force to overpower anything the Republicans do. It's internal dissent between Democrats that's stalling Obama the most; his "power" lies in a practically one-party situation. I thank God that Blue Dogs are there to stop this bullet-train to communism, otherwise, it's basically Red October all over again.

Tennessee Ernie isn't aware of very much these days. The recession was set in motion by the liberal policies that said you could not discriminate for a home loan on the basis of income (Chris Dodd, Barnie Frank). The housing bubble and the fall of numerous investment house based on sub-prime mortgages started the dominoes falling. The liberal congress that was in place and running things two years before Bush left office helped fuel the recession with their policies. Thanks for your interest.

Sadly, 'trying to fix things' with ideas that have utterly Failed everywhere they have been tried is not good enough. You don't fix a broken leg by breaking the other one - and you don't fix the horrendous results of Socialism with more Socialism.

Dude, we didn't need the money print. Did you get any of that money? Then the dollars you hold just got diluted.
We needed the recession, to clear out the unsustainable spending, and redirect that energy and money to productive use.
All any bailout or stimulus gives us is a deeper hole to dig ourselves out of when the correction finally becomes unavoidable.
