It is very hard to claim that this separation is racist, considering that the Arabs on the Israeli side of the border can vote, work and own land and generally have all the attributes of citizenship. Occupation always treats occupied persons different from citizens. Japanese and Germans could not vote in US or British or French elections during the allied occupation of Germany, nor could they work in those countries.

I bought the book, it's certainly not as controversial as this video suggests. Carter does do well in mentioning the plight of the Christian Palestinians a lot more than most people would, which is good as that's normally ignored.
There's a good upload somewhere on Youtube worth watching where Norman Finkelstein criticises Carter for having his bum so fixated on the fence,he argues the situation is far worse than Carter makes out and does a good job in briefly criticising aspects of the book.

State killings are common, known as targetted killings but fall far short of target, bombs are dropped on densely populated areas which have killed 1000's of civilians in these so called targetted killings.
