Thanks for the post and the idea of keeping an instrument by the toilet. Who needs to read when you practice in the most accoustic room in most people's house. Great idea.
Hi.Thanks for your comment. I used Aquila strings from a local shop. Purple Turtle - they have an ebay shop. Aquila strings are more expensive but make a huge difference. I put them on my 6 year old's spong bob uke. Sounds great too! Cheers Mat
i have them on my Mt banjo and on my 1898 Stewart.and have put them on a couple of friends dungers... if you have a low end banjo that sounds crap and jangly with steels,... try them, its surprising how convincing an old time plunk you can get from even a bottom of the heap Asian banjo with a few setup tweeks.
Hi. Yes. I love the soundnd feel. I've put them on my GT Plunky too (Thanks Thunderchicken!). I keep steels on my GT W250 too keep the leather on my fingers. It soon disappears if you only play jessie nylon! Thanks. Mat

Thanks. Be careful you don't get soft fingers!

did you have to file out the bridge for the gut strings? i know they are thicker than steel.

Hi. I didn't file but it was a very tight fit and probably could have done with filing. Though the slots were probably already too big!

Nice playing. I always wondered how NylGut would sound.
Do you like it better than steel?
