GN'R were a lot better than Metallica with that fucking classic Appetite lineup.Don't get me wrong, Metallica's great. They're a lot better than what Axl likes to call GN'R these days. GN'R were always on the edge, making them more immune to breaking up. You never knew what would happen next. A riot, someone dying. It does come down to opinion, but for me, back in the day GN'R were better. But Metsillca are still around today and still making classic music. That's got to count for something.

Hold on, some people here are defending GNR......but they haven't been around since the early 80's.....Metallica on the other hand has been around for 3 decades, is touring non-stop, and is currently in the studio for a new project. The list about how Metallica is better can go on and on....so don't even compare the two bands, because Metallica is superior by far. GNR has been dead for 20 years

@melmussileto I agree, Axl is stupid. That's one of the reasons why people still care about what Hetfield has to say, and no one cares where Axl is these days. The biggest reason comes down to one thing... you pay big prices for a ticket to see these guys live in concert. and Axl would always storm off the stage 3 songs into a set, giving the crowd the finger, yelling and throwing a tantrum. On the other hand, Metallica is known for being thankful to their fans when they play. So yeah, fuck Axl.
