For those of you wondering, the "secret" is when he grabs those golden guns. You unlock that armory when you complete the game at 100% at any difficulty. You can use those weapons on any playthrough after that.

You do NOT need to be level 30 to get through the secret room. I've done it at level 28, but you do need the infinite foam, which is unlocked at level 30.

It can take 2 hours, or it can take 2 days. I have taken 1 hour and 40 minutes for the challenge, and 2 days on my first run through of the game.

keyrarocks; once you beat the first spider boss you have to follow the vid. and you cannot touch the first grenade door otherwise it won't work. and I believe it's once you pass the exploding barrels you have 30 sec to reach the hidden door. did I miss anything anyone?

Just look for "insurgent achievement" or something like that on youtube. you should be able to find a complete walkthrough, I've seen it myself.

No, you can't have armor and stuff. And actually, you don't need it. Once you reach level 20 or something, you can fire unlimited foam, which basically lets you go almost anywhere, and the climbing gear is very useful as well. I've seen walkthoughs of this here on youtube.

If you get to the hole and theres a grate. You took too long or you touched the Grenade door that continues the game. After destroying the spider you have 30-45 seconds to get to the hole in the floor.

You got nothing because the Avatar Rewards system hasn't been set up yet. The only game with avatar rewards so far is Splosion Man, the rest of the games that will have them all need updates. Its a very long and boring process.

For those of you still confused on how to make the door open, read below...

You will need to have all 12 gold bars to access the room with the golden weapons...once you kill the spider boss in this video, there will be a green door next to it...DON'T TOUCH THE DOOR. It will lock the hidden pathway...now, on your way back up, you will encounter a door with 3 barrels blocking the way...as soon as you pass it, you only have 30 seconds to reach the hole...good luck!

You definitely need wayy more HP for this part. Circle back and look for the hidden health upgrades. They really help. I did this part at 500 HP and barely made it out. When you have enough, just haul ass back the way you came, up and out. I can't remember if I had the triple jump or not but either way, just wall jump. Good Luck!

i just finished the insurgent run after many tries. you went the wrong way. after you go through the secret room and climb the ladder and enter the large room, move slightly to the left and grab the ladder. slide off and grab the platform right below it and go through that door. the next confusing part is when you find a purple foam door and a foam gun bomba. you have to make the bomba shoot the foam gun door on the top to move on. hope that helps

thanks, i've escaped the exploding facility, but now i don't know what to do. i assume head to the lake - except the cutscene where claire is being taken away by the chopper is blocking the way. do i run through that cutscene or go down into the base around it and approach the lake from the other side?
