This is very well done! Kudos for that and thanks for including the very sweet gay couple. It's about time that the commercial Star Trek franchise include a gay couple as well.

Star Trek has always been groundbreaking in terms of social developments, so I really don't understand why the creators have chosen to remain behind reality in that regard.

@3dartistguy Maybe because the author wanted to project a future time in which everyone is advanced to the point that nobody cares about other people's orientation, just as Roddenberry was projecting a future time in which nobody thinks to question black officers or female admirals - all such controversy is long resolved and buried in their history.
