  • this is a shit way to make caramel. adding the butter when the car is THAT hot, the froth it makes just takes like shit....and you basically have reduced the froth back down into the sauce...not a very good technique kiddies, i'd research another vid and discard this one.

    No water-just some real butter at the beginning( more then you use). Some orange juice grand marnier have way and at the end .

    Jesus even mac donald makes a better caramel.

  • @Born0nFridayThe13th yeah.. if you dont put cream though then the caramel doesnt stay saucy so cream is ok but i agree, dont put water.. just melt the sugar then throw in butter , shut off heat and cream it :)

  • Soooo yummy!!! My caramel tasted like butterscotch. I made my sister taste it and she said it's yummy. I said I tried to make caramel and she said I failed and made something better. Mmmmmm yum.

  • oh my god i just cooked mine a bit longer and put less water and more other stuff, and lemme tell you it was the gooiest delicious thing i have ever had XD i finished the entire pan in one day XD

  • dude... you are the man!!!! all hail the power of you... i attempted what was suppose to be the GREAT julia childs recipe about four times and created what my boyfriend has now lovingly referred to as a science project! what was created was not carmel sauce... nay nay... but a large amber rock like substance unable to be digested, or bitten for that matter, by the human body!

    On the other hand... tried your amazingly divine recipe and it worked first time!!!! rock on carmel dude.... rock on!

    the cooking temperture is way to high and you probably did not put in enough butter and cream to make it more like liquid caremal.

  • ok, so i made this stuff. But i didnt have cream, so i used milk, and it worked perfectly. The sugar did crystalize just a bit though.
