  • I've got the uriah heep album with the mirrior, love that album. I've also got through the past darkly with the edges still on but it has the marks where you can cut it but never wanted to cut it myself. I think I will leave it as it is. Nice collection man!

  • Should have shown the panties on the Schools Out lp. Great collection of gadget albums.

  • A typical English face ha ha

  • Good collection! The Alice Cooper School's Out LP had three different colors of paper panties wrapped around the LP itself...white, pink, light blue. A very few copes also had a small report card tucked inside........ The Satanic Majesties LP came in a mono and stereo version. The mono is about ten times rarer than the stereo. ....think the Stones octagon cover is rare. Try finding one without the corners cut off!

  • @snakerog Definitely, It's very hard to find one of those "Big Hits 2" STONES LP with the corners! A long time ago... Someone actually told me that the edition with the cut off corners was the rarer of the two.. I have since learned this is definitely not true. (during the last 25 years of collecting) I used to have an ORIG of ALICE COOPER LP but never had a copy with the panties. That's neat about the report card, that's a new one on me. Thanks for your comment :-)>

  • Very nice, was expecting to see Sweet's give us a wink as well as Zep 3...stickey fingers too :)

  • I have another video I want to do of some other "gadget" albums....including the entire catalog of the "Cruisin" series...incredible stuff (as you will see). Hope to eventually get that out for viewing.

  • Uriah Heep- Look at Yourself...very hard to find in that condition. Lots of copies with the "mirror" reflective portion missing! I've got the Faces and the Stones- Satanic Majesties. I'd love to find the octagon-shaped Through the Past Darkly!! My School's Out has the panties insert included, plus it's signed by the Coop himself! That Beatles Butcher paste-over is very cool. That's a holy grail item for sure. Been collecting for many years and I've never encountered one! A++ posting!

  • Agree with your post here....I had forgot about the panties....not sure if that was a different version as I bought my copy new and it didn't have that. You may have the first print (earlier than mine).

  • Yeah, it must have been a first pressing. Alice himself commented that the panties versions are rare. Even HE hasn't seen that many of them! I managed to get Billion Dollar Babies, School's Out and Killer signed by the Coop, last time he was in town!

  • I read an article recently about EMI's old vinyl pressing plants. A private company bought 11 of the 120 machines and now does solid business pressing new indie records and old reissues for the major labels. Google "financial times vinyl pressing emi" and it should be the first item listed.

  • awesome collection, i have a few of those myself. Check out my video of my collection.

  • Great video!

  • Cool theme here...lots of clever, gimmicky record albums. I have a couple LPs like this...SOME GIRLS, etc. A couple of these I've never seen. Neat stuff!
