Islam hates homosexuals more than any other religion. If you're homosexual and Muslim, you should probably rethink your life. Being homosexual and religious makes little sense, being homosexual and Muslim is... just don't do it.
@Dengkaidou What is normal? Not too long ago it was not "normal" for interracial couples to exist. Not too long ago it was abnormal for women to do anything besides being stay at home moms. Yet apparently society seemed to adapt just fine to the "abnormal". So why is homosexuality a problem?
This guy is being disgustingly diplomatic. Be real about it! All of the monotheistic religions consider homosexuality as a sin! In actuality, there are homosexuals in Hebrew, Islam and Christianity. Let's be adults and take off the religious dunce caps. Through my research, I have noticed that cultures/peoples with recognition of multiple gods disapprove of one's behaviour when it is not community and life supporting. As long as you fulfill your role as man or woman, then you are fine
So gay Muslims are accepted, we are just unable to be ourselves. Lovely, so basically our whole lives, we have to be something we're not. If that is even the case, why is it that I'm this way. It is said that Allah made you the best way he could. But, if I'm haram, why am I here? Or why am I even Muslim?
Wait so does that mean that homosexuals will never be able to relief themselves or even love another person? I mean just saying that because it seems that since they dont like the opposite sex the same way that heterosexual people do, then they will never be able to live a normal and healthy life.... Hmmmmmm
I dont understand how people are saying the Punishment for Adultery is death, where please show me where the QURAN says the punishment is death. Allah tells you the punishment is flogging and house arrest in sura 2 Did Allah forget to add in the stoning? if the punishment is DEATH by stoning why is it not mentioned anywhere in the QURAN, why go out of the way to be specific about how many lashes a person gets and how they have to be confined to their home but NEVER say the punishment is death?
you know what I was born into Islam, and raised in an Islamic school in the middle east. my father from the meddle east and my mother from USA. and I'm so sick and tired of scholars and Islamic centers bullshiting people about the facts in Islam.. here I will give you the truth in a nut-shell according to sharia Law: the penalty for: @committing homosexual act: DEATH
I am a Muslim, and I am Bisexual. I definitely don't believe that I will be punished for this tendency whatsoever simply because it doesn't make any sense - I was born with it, I did not ask to become it. What I may be punished for is having gay sex - which I personally disagree with anyways. Many close minded people look down on homosexuals whether it were tendency alone, or action...
Phew! I just heard the most arrogant and close minded guy talking about homosexuals in Islam, and his cruelty just blew me away. This guy, is basically saying that homosexuals shall be treated with equal dignity and respect with no discrimination whatsoever (I don't really find any reason for this disgusting discrimination) But the act of it is not allowed in Islam. THAT makes sense.
It is strange that one feels s/he has the authority or is obliged to reject other people's beliefs and call them false. Cannot one choose his/her path? Or will he go to "hell" because s/he is not aware of the re-legion, or chooses a different way? Jesus (SAW), Muhammad (SAW), Abraham (SAW) Buddha (SAW), Guru Nanak(SAW), etc. Have mostly expressed great messages, and all share in common a superior power. I have never met a
Some people are making it seem like everyone who has homosexual desires should be killed according to Islam. This is NOT correct. What it DOES say is that people found guilty of committing homosexual ACTS are subject to punishment by death. The SAME ruling is stated in the BIBLE "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13).
I would like to see him go to Iran and preach that. You gays will be killed in the name of allah, you just wait and see. You tolerant atheist have let in other strong religion that wants to convert you by force. Not now but you just wait when they think their Madudi has come back and given them orders to kill. Wake up America.
There is no place for homosexual.Remember what happened to the people of lut when they practised homesexuality..These people wont even see the Face of Prophet Mohamad (PBUH).
Some of the Companions (MAY ALLAAH BE PLEASED WITH THEM) were shunned by the Prophet Muhammad (PRAYERS AND PEACE BE UPON HIM) and the rest of the Companions (MAY ALLAAH BE PLEASED WITH THEM) because they didn't go forth in Jihad and they remained that way until ALLAAH REVEALED THE VERSES THAT FORGAVE THEM!!! The speaker obviously is not WELL VERSED IN THE QUR'AAN and speaks from his own opinion! ALLAAH COMMANDS US TO KILL ALL HOMOSEXUALS! If we follow ALLAAH COMMAND...THEN THERE IS NO PROBLEM!
please just because his culture is western and he is trying to be the best Muslim he could be don't be a hater be support him he is cool and he got logic and knowledge.
people are people . one day all of these religious laws will be forgotten . it will be a better society . no disrespect but since when is religion an expert on human relations . and what gives one person the authority to judge someone elses behaviour .we all are human and we all can live our lives without fear and veiled prosecution .
@brotherdash I am a new Muslim, and you said that Islam does not "excommunicate" adulterers, but why then does Sharia punishment for adultery mean death? Honest question, I would appreciate an answer. Thanks so much.
@Shnakalaka I am not the speaker in the video. I simply recorded and uploaded Dr. Jackson's response. It would be best for you to contact him. Do a search online for where he is currently teaching and email him your question. Thank you.
1. We should not alienate, shun, persecute people who commit sins, even if they be homosexuals! This is what we should not "excommunicate" means.
2. We should reach out to, engage, speak to and most importantly help to grow the love for Allah in their hearts, such they can throw away bad ACTIONS, and help them to control their desires!
3. Those who refuse #2 - then the shariah punishment would be applied.
@ProteinShaykh NO Human being has the right to punish another for not believing or refusing to believe what you belive. Thats for god and only GOD to decide. Dont be so arrogant to think you can do that only which god can do.
@Shnakalaka@Shnakalaka i guess it would like any other bad behavior that if you doesn't repent from you will be punished for it. say for instance if someone steals his hand will be cut off and adultery is an even bigger crime in need of a bigger punishment but that doesn't mean he is "excommunicated" from Islam. in other words we cant say he is not a Muslim anymore. That is between him and Allah.
@Shnakalaka also any crime you get punished for in this life for you won't be punished for it in the after life so it might even be a mercy in its self!
you can still ask Dr.Jackson am sure he can give much better answers.
@Shnakalaka adultery brings nothing except misery, destruction and chaos to a family. it not only affects the ones who practise it but the product of this act aswell and surrounding family.
in a psychological study they found that a child with out a father figure in his life becomes unstable and is psychologically affected, the child is heavily burdened
a heavy punishment like death for adultery ensures that life's are not ruined
It sends chills down my spine to even READ such narrowminded comment. What "stability" would a child experience after his mother or father were killed??? Adultery is tragic, no doubt; but it is NOT A PUBLIC MATTER, it is between a man and his wife,- for THEM to sort out,-or not! And to regain a relationship with God, is between the adulterer and his/her Lord,- and not a public affair!
i think he means that adultery as an action is forbidden but the one who did adultery still a Muslim , and death punishment only for married ones as a salvation to purify you -prevent you from hell.
@Shnakalaka well as a new Muslim I HOPE you know that Sharia is not gods words - it is islamic jurists words! Islam doesn't even condemn homosexuality, it condomns people to rape each other (in this case a man rapes a man according to Lot).
@Shnakalaka I'm no scholar but here is what I think. If someone commits adultery it is punishable by death according to Shariah. But it does not mean that the adulterer is not a Muslim anymore. He is still a Muslim, just not a very good one. He is punished not because he is not considered a Muslim anymore but because he committed a grave crime. It is up to Allah (SWT) to decide if he is still a Muslim or not and to decide if his sin is grave enough to not let him enter Paradise.
@Shnakalaka it's never stated in the Quran that a break from the religion is punished by death. This practice was put together after the death of the Prophet and the new political leaders of the Muslim community began putting misogynistic rules back into place that the Prophet Muhammed removed, so that they could regain political power. If you're interested in a good history of Islam check out a book called "No god but God" by Reza Aslan.
@Shnakalaka That is the punishment in shariah for an act of adultery but even when someone's punishment is death they are not taken outside of the fold of Islam. They are still a Muslim and what they have done is between them and Allah (SWT).
Assalaam alaikum, I think what he meant by "excommunicate" in his examples was throwing them outside of Islam based on their behavior. So you can't say a person who commits adultery is not a believer; or a person who drinks is not a believer. The punishment may exist, but it's not "excommunicating" them or calling them disbelievers - they are still Muslims.
@Shnakalaka The punishment is death....but only whenthere are 4 witnesses. Which is extremely unlikely. The punishment is more symbolic to sow how bad the sin is. If there were 3 witnesses and a video with 5 million views, it doesn't count.
@Shnakalaka In reality, it shouldn't be view like punishment. Adultery is on of the biggest sin and when you accept that you sin there is only one way to erase this sin. So in time of prophet, it was the adulterers that come openly to say that they sinned, it was for the purpose of erasing the unforgivable sin. This why the sinners must certify himself that he have sinned. It must take some courage and faith to surrender yourself to penitence of this.
@Shnakalaka the law itself was made in some way that it really difficult to apply it if you don't confess and even when you confess it still difficult because you must be sure. There was hadith that even say that people came to the prophet to confess and he first didn't listen, and when the guy confess 4 time, the prophet ask him if he wasn't mad, he say no, and if he was married, and he said yes and then they stoned him.
the method is quite different form what we see today in IC
@Shnakalaka there is also hadith about a women that came to the prophet for the same sin and want to be purify, but the prophet ask her to go back and she came back again the following day and said that she was pregnant, the prophet ask her to came back after childbirth, and she came back with the new born, the prophet asked her to came back after she wean the baby, and again she came back with the young children with a bred on his hand and then she was stoned.
@Shnakalakacan't stone people without her approval(after she admit sincerely she obviously can't go back)or without strong proof and 4 testimony of 4 people that have seen the sin distinctly form 4different POV (sthg quite impossible in fact).Even the most suspicious women or men can't be stone just because his husband or wife find him/her with a men/women. But today in Islamic country, this law is misuse, even the people that stone don't respect the sinner as they forget the purpose.
@Shnakalaka THE ADULTORY IS PROHABITED IN ISLAAM ..... death punishment is for the person who is married and comitt adultory..... for unmarried whipped him 100 times...
this is becoz you get punishment here not here after becoz the punishment here after is far more painful... n that iz the fire of hell.... JAZAKALLAH
@Shnakalaka Salamualikum If I may answer your question to the best of my ability. There is no verse in the Quran that says the punishment for adultery is death, none. The punishment for adultery according to the Quran for both sexes is lashes publicly and if persistent house arrest that is in Sura 2. Any other law that says otherwise is not Gods law and as God ordered Muhammed (pbuh) to follow and rule with GODS LAW alone 5:48-5:50 these are not my words but Gods words. salam
@Shnakalaka An adulterer is not punished unless his/her sin becomes public news.
Just because someone committed adultery doesn't mean he/she isn't Muslim. I believe this man made the explanation to such a phenomenon pretty clear. A person isn't necessarily thrown out of the fold of the ummah just because of a sin.
@Shnakalaka there are many conditions that have to be met before an adulterer's punishment becomes death.
there MUST be 4 witnesses that catch the adulterers in actions. which means they're having sex in public basically. that's public indecency in any country and countries give punishments for it weather they follow Islamic law or now. The witnesses have to be reliable trustworthy community members! not just anyone who has a grudge against a person can turn them in for adultery.
@Shnakalaka Also, the punishment is that severe only because if a person does get that punishment, they will not be later on (in judgment day) be judged for it. so that person will be cleaned from that sin after they die.
that being said. proving that someone committed adultery cannot be through video taping or pictures. it has to be with four witnesses that witnessed the adulterers in action. so it's VERY difficult to prove someone is cheating on their spouse. and Allah knows best.
@Shnakalaka Salam, i suggest u should ask Dr. Zakir Naik and plz do search him online especially in PeaceTV..hopefully we can be a great muslim brothers n sisters
@Shnakalaka Welcome to Islam my dear brother/sister. Islam does not directly condemn adulterers. There are rules. If the adulterous man/woman is not married, he is not killed, because God knows that lust is controlling. But if the person is married, he is killed because he has a wife, and if she has problems, he can marry another one. Furthermore, person is killed only if he is caught by the ruler, so chances are less likely to die, and more likely to repent. Read my next comment please. Its imp
@Shnakalaka Allah says in the Qur'an, "God does not forgive being associated with, but forgives anything below that, to whoever He pleases", of course it doesn't depend on God's mood, it depends on the heart of the sinful person. God tells us that He forgives ALL flaws, even adultery or homosexuality, if you only ask for forgiveness with an honest heart. Please, I beg you to ask me any questions about Islam, "ANYTHING", on my private inbox, and I'll answer anything you ask if God wills. Peace :)
@Shnakalaka death penalty in sharia is for treason with marriage only . other forms of adultery are punished in other ways, depending from the degree of the adultery .However even in the case of marriage u can get a death penalty only when
1)your spouse (wife or husband) are sexually functional (meaning they can have a do have with u normal healthy intercourse)
2) u could get a divorce but didnt do that and looked for fun out of marriage :)
@Shnakalaka it's not that easy to just give order for death.. U shud present four eye withnesses to prove dat he did commit adultery otherwise if u accuse someone and couldnt produce four withnesses then you would be punished instead
@Shnakalaka, 1) Adultery is a serious crime inside the religion of Islam, if the crime is perpetrated and evidently established the penalty is death under the Shari'ah of Allah. If in the past (days of ignorance) a person indulged in this evil secretly they are encouraged to seek sincere repentance immediately and in such a case it is not necessary nor is it obligatory to reveal the sin and take up the capital punishment, indeed Allah (swt) is most forgiving, most merciful.
when one compares adultery or alcoholism with homosexuality, its easy to guess that man has never met a gay person in his life or tried to understand him . Shame on those "good muslims" who leave all sorts of homophobic comments in this forum
Its a shame the stoneage masses of the middle east cant be more like this great brother. If he was in saudi a bunch of cavemen would be chopping off his head screaming 'allah ahkbar'.
@xxMia01123 Astaghfirallah! I tell you what is Haraam, questioning the Islam of anyone who proclaims the Kalima. Even if you believe homosexuality is haraam, orthodox Islam does NOT label people who proclaim the Kalima as "kafirs" for sinning or following a different interpretation than us. We do not "excommunicate" in Islam...THAT is innovation from Salafiyyah.
religions a man made tool to gather the masses and get them to join them. homosexuality has been seen in the animal kingdom and we as the evolved from Homo sapiens and before that evolved from something else. we are animals with intelligence so it doesn't really matter. religion seems to be a way of life then faith
I am not a homosexual yet I must say that he is speaking the truth. The homosexual tendency is but a natural possibility and we must accept it. Thus the homosexual too have the rights to obey Allah and his Messenger (saw) like as we do. The adultery in Islam must include the homo-adultery in it's definition.
this guy is not the best person to explain such a question, becasue if you drink alcahol,do sexuil acts with men and have seuail relationship with a woamn who is not his wife is pretty much a non beliver because if you dont follow the rules of god then you are not muslim, muslim is not a word you can not be muslim by saying it but by your actions ,and he said the quote wronge
In the Way of Christ Jesus, we agree with you that those actions are not salubrious or of good moral character, nor pleasing to the only One, True & Living God. But we would strong disagree that just because a person is diligent or does all those things (or is,in general, a moral person) there is anyway he can make himself acceptable or pleasing to the True, righteous God.No man can earn rewards in the eyes of all Holy God. Jesus says evil comes from the heart, there is NO ONE good
ALLAH IS SIMPLY AGAINST GAYS AND SO AM I.HE SENT THE PROPHET LOT HERE FOR THAT REASON..UN-NATRUAL WICKNESS..ALLAH ALSO SAYS IN THE QURAN THAT WE CAN SEX WITH OUR WIFE ANY WAY WE LIKE BUT NOT THE ANUS..SO WHAT DO U THINK HE SAYS ABOUT 2 MWN..GAYS HAVE NO WHERE IN ISLAM AND WHOEVER SAY THEY DO .MUST BE SIMPLY GAY THEMSELFS..THERE IS NO WAY AROUND IT.EITHER U FOLLOW ALLAH ARE FOLLOW THE DEVIL THERE IS NO INBETWEEN...ADAM AND EVE.ALLAH CREATED MALE AND FEMALE FOR A RESON//
okay i'm arabic gay I DDNT want to be like tht i got raped so many times even they video taped me and they r threating me wth the video tapes if there's guy who can help me and give me a psychiatristnumber PLZ tell me i dnt want to grow up like this everyday they threat me but enough ! let them give it to my family IDC anymore I'M 15 YEARS OLD GAY and i really need a help BYE :)
So what he says is : Homosexuals who haven't had a homosexual act, can still be a muslim as long as they fulfill God's will, praying and do good deeds ? I think I am a muslim homosexual, I haven't tried anything with a boy, and I'm not going to, even if it's so tempting for me, because I'm afraid of Allah. Am I going to hell for that ? Please answer because I am extremely scared and afraid of the after life !
@JudasKissJesus GOD is very pleased with your homosexuality AS HE CREATED YOU IN THIS LIGHT! Go out and seek to foster a healthy loving relationship with a man.
Just to add to that, through out history until the present days gays have always been rejected by the masses, it's NOT just religious people that have rejected gays but even most atheists reject them.
How can you people talk as if gay people choose to be gay, what do you want them to do, hide it for the rest of there lives, don't be so ridiculous and get a grip. How would you feel if you could not be with the one person you love? Due to religion, whatever, all religion has been manipulated and changed over the years, so you all live your happy brainwashed life's! And why do you always make Homosexuality about sex?We do, do other things other than sex you plebs, I will see God in heaven,u wont
@SEEINGREDISCOMING Religious laws are laws of societal contracts. I could be married to a person but over time lost my "love" for them and have fallen with someone else, under Islam, I cannot be with that someone else, "the person I love." How I feel about it is irrelevant. What's relevant is my obligation to the contract that I established with the person that I'm already married to. Same with homosexuality, that it's not a choice is irrelevant.
He who make haraam into halal & halal into haraam is a kafer & there's no shifa of prophet Mohammad (saw) for kafirs. And homosexuality is haraam and if someone say it's ok or says that hajaab or niqab is un_Islamic or is sign of backwardness then he/she becomes a kafir but if someone says it's my weakness and keep it secret then they're Muslim as 'hadith; "All my ummah is forgiven except those who advertise their sins'" Sahih Muslim
@TheBernardAbdullah Yes, I think his opinion is solid re homosexuality. The tendency and the act have to be distinguished. Catholics believe that homosexual acts are sins, but not the mere tendency. Homosexuality is a tragic flaw; it deprives a man of marriage. However the homosexual does well if he remains celibate and loves God and his neighbour. A blind person will develop talents that otherwise would have remained undeveloped. Evil resisted=Human Growth!
The matter fact is that whatever u chose to do in private, that's between u and your Lord... He sees u and will hold u accountable for it if u die before u repent. However, to publicly defy Gold's Law? and corrupt society? that's just taking the piss, therefore the full extent of the Law should be applied to u!! Those who biologically-born da way are allowed to seek medical help to change to one gender (so they can perform their religious duties) but those who just fancy de same-sex? KILLED 'EM
Fools those false claims of Mohammed are based on story's of non Muslims who lied about Islam your "facts" are based on weak sources please dismiss yourselves
so when the islamic prophet Mohomad himself tells a muslim, kill the homosexual and the one in the act with him-thats to be ignored? How convenient for these muslims.Luckily western muslims change the koran to suit.
@Pitttdog Lol we don't change the koran. But we do try to suit but still hang on the norms and values of islam. The thing about he koran is that it is never been changed since the day it was made.
@Pitttdog So, did Mohomad say "homosexual?" Or, was there some kind of descriptive language? Personally, I believe nothing should be examined outside of detailed context. So, when people keep repeating one liners from the bible or Quran or whatever, without any references to context, I cannot not take them or the quotes seriously.
the last part of this man's speech was quite agreeable.but at the start when he said that its ok to be gay and muslim individually, well i was shocked. Its like saying that you can deny Tauheed (Oneness of GOD) ( nauzo-billah) and still be Muslim. thats crap. he z a clear secular.
I lost all interest in the video when he uttered the word Sunniism. There is not such thing as Sunniism in Islam. He should go back to school to learn Islam. People like him should not be talking. They give erroneous implression about Islam. I have studied Abraham's Trio for more than 10 years. None accepts Homosexuality. That is a fact. Wrapping it in words like discretion is pure BS. I am not a believer. What they in the privacy is their business. I am against their adoption demands.
the prophet (SAW) said ,Allaah curse men who imitate like woman and woman imitate like men,so don't try to justify homosexuality as abuse alcohol or fornicator not same.Homosexual destroy the umah and we don't want Alaah anger come down on as
AGAIN.. WEN U DECIDED U WANTED 2FOLLOW ISLAM, U ALSO VOWED 2FOLLOW ITS RULES. ONE OF THEM BEING "NO HOMOSEXUAL"
IT'S LIKE ME COMING OUT AND SAYING I'M A MUSLIM AND I FORNICATE WITH WOMEN AND I THINK IT'S OKAY TO DO SO BECAUSE I STILL BELIEVE IN ALLAH.
IN THIN YOU ARE CONFUSED ABOUT IS.
U CAN'T SAY YOU BELIEVE IN ISLAM, BECAUSE IF YOU DID, YOU'D ALSO BELIEVE THAT ALLAH DOESN'T MAKE MISTAKES &IF U BELIEVE THAT THEN HOW CAN ALLAH SAY "NO HOMOSEXUAL" BUT STILL ALLOW PEOPLE 2B BORN GAY?
Being a gay in Islam is not a sin, but follow your own desires and passions is a big sin.....some people are born with homosexuality, but as long as they keep their needs on the distance, then it's OK.
In Islam it's called Jihad - struggle with (yourself) your own passions.
Being a muslim in this case is like being a dinosour. What shall we do with disonours? Let them spread their power? Or we should try to reduce it by proper science-oriented education, politically by UN and other more or less powerful organizations. That's the question.
I think Gays need to accept that Islam does not recognise the pairing of men with men and women with women as this is a direct challenge to Gods' law. The koran is quite clear about intimate relationships being lawful only between members of the opposite sex. If you want to obey God then start by obeying his rules.
If that religion is infringing on the rights of gay people then they have every right to oppose it. The Islamic religion is dangerously backward and their obvious gay hate is poisonous.
@TheSeyeda thank you for saying the truth outright and not hiding behind rhetoric. hopefully gay muslims will come to understand the true feeling that their faith has toward them and turn their back on a god that hates them
@TheSeyeda what arrogance and ignorance, not only do you believe there is a supernatural god-king,which is highly improbale, but you claim to know what the supernatural creator-god has on his mind...No man who has ever walked the Earth knows the origin of life/cosmos and what happens when you die.Any man who claims answers to these questions is a liar. The origin of life/cosmos and what happens after you die remain 'unknowable' and will remain so until humans are extinct.
@TheSeyeda Before you can obey God, you have to find out if this God exists, and then you have to find out what his rules are from the horses mouth, not from some writings Arabs made a long time ago and said it was God's rules. Anyone can just write a book of rules and say that they're God's rules, that doesn't make it true.
I could write a book about Bigfoot's rules. Maybe I should. I could start a religion. Unless Islam and Christianity recruited all the idiots already.
@abdalacloud According to what evidence? There is none at all in Islamic spirituality— meaning that there is no mention to such behavior as being natural in either the Qur'an or Sunnah—nor is there any scientifically.
Your claim is baseless friend, an opinion which cannot be used in an argument :).
This goes for many of the other commenters.
Consider both why you are making such an argument and what influences you to think in such way.
@abdalacloud I think its a devolepment not born that way . there are scholars who saying giving advice to not let little boys sleep with each other . imen are devoliping themselves to be gay not born that way. May Allah forgive them and all of our sins
what you call gods law is not gods law its human made law...if it was gods law it wud in the act of a crime naturaly be a punishment or a reaction, like the law of nature or law of gravity which if anny are god made laws.i dont see the laws of saudi arabia are not representing the law of god, if it was the law of god then god only can judge the one that has comitted the crime and not some human with some beard and thinks he is something.
What this man is saying..ur allowed to be homosexual, just dont practice it..and u will be rewarded for holding back in the way of Allah. If u love our Prophet pbuh and Allah that much, u wud accept them recommending a person of opp sex to marry..
IF YOUR A PRACTICING MUSLIM YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A GAY OR LESBIAN MUSLIM. BECAUSE IN ISLAM A MAN MUST MARRY A WOMAN AND A WOMAN MUST MARRY A MAN. THIS COMMUNITY IN AMERICA IS APPARENTLY TRYING TO SWITCH THE LAWS OF THE SHERIAH. LEAVE ISLAM OR RESPECT ALLAH'S COMMANDS.
This is no different to my life as a vegetarian. I speak to people who eat meat, a LOT of meat on a daily basis. But do i treat them any differently? Of course not. They're not vegetarian and that's their choice. In my eyes what they are doing is wrong but I'm not about to go preaching or beating them for it.
However if they started bad mouthing my lifestyle or pretending to be vegetarian but still ate meat, then I would have to defend myself.
@lastplacewin you think eating meat is bad ? o.O you sound like my indian grandma lol , Firstly nothing is good r bad Ill tell you , Its a matter of opinions , your opinion is different from mine , I don't think eating meat is bad , In fact m I think its a necessary part of a balanced diet . Thats my opinion , but your opinion is that it is bad ,See,its nor bad or good , nothing is in fact m We humans , each one of us looks at things from their own specific perspectives
The biggest difference between Christian speakers and Muslim speakers is, for the most part, the Muslims seem to be much more educated, articulate and have some proper grasp of the message they are trying to convey.
While I don't agree with what he says completely, I do have respect for him. Peace.
This imam seems to be someone who does not judge people like many do. That is Gods job. I don't ask for acceptance. But I demand tolerance and respect. You don't have to "accept" my homosexuality...I really don't care just like I don't care about other peoples heterosexuality.
YOU CAN'T TELL ME AS A MUSLIM TO TOLERATE OR RESPECT A MUSLIM WHO WOULD PUBLICLY DECLARE OR MAKE IT VERY APPARENT THAT HE IS A "GAY-MUSLIM"
IF YOU DID SUCH ACT AS A "MUSLIM" BEHIND CLOSED DOORS THAT'S FINE, BUT NO "GAY-MUSLIM" SHOULD EXPECT TOLERANCE OR RESPECT IF THEY COME OUT IN PUBLIC WITH IT.
I'm a muslim and im gay. I'm born this way. I fall in love with guys. What can I do about it? Why does everybody focus on the "sexual" aspect of homosexuality? We actually are people and we need to love somebody and to be loved, and we fall in love. I don't want to reject Islam and God only because there are a bunch of homophobic and uneducated patriarchal imams in Islam. I love Allah! NO ONE can take my Muslim identity away from me! PEACE
U CAN'T SAY YOU BELIEVE IN ISLAM, BECAUSE IF YOU DID, YOU'D ALSO BELIEVE THAT ALLAH DOESN'T MAKE MISTAKES &IF U BELIEVE THAT THEN HOW CAN ALLAH SAY "NO HOMOSEXUAL" BUT STILL ALLOW PEOPLE 2B BORN GAY?
this man has no clue of what he speaks, Islam abolish homosexuality and it's a capitol sin. The punishment is death by either stoning, beheading or throwing him from the highest building. Does that mean that every homosexual is an infidel? I highly doubt, Allah is merciful and he forgives those who are willing to change their behaviors.
@PSNFreak11 i think to say "this man has no clue of what he speaks" is an over generalization. Assuming that they are "behaviors" that can be changed is a claim to knowledge that only Allah has.
YOU SHOULDN'T GET ANGRY LIKE THAT TAKE IT EAST IN EVERY ARGUMENT THERE ARE REASONING IT'S BEST YOU USE REASONING RATHER THAN MAKE CLAIMS LIKE"this man has no clue of what he speaks"
I'M SURE ISLAMIC SHARIA LAWS ARE VERY CLEAR IN WHAT THEY SAY! BUT THEY CAN ONLY BE IMPLEMENTED IN ISLAMIC RUN COUNTRIES I.E YOU DON'T HEAR TOPICS LIKE THIS COMING FROM SAUDI ARABIA SO HE WAS ADDRESSING THE AUDIENCE BEFORE HIM "I THINK"
as a muslim, and this is my personal opinion and you obviously don't have to agree with me, but if a person were to approach me, and this person is NOT a muslim, and informs me or i found out that he/she is homosexual, then i will not treat them any differently from other people BECAUSE they do not follow the same religion as me, and as thus do not have the same values and do not have to adhere to the same rules as me. i would of course realise that the act they are commiting is wrong by me,
So if I marry a woman after she cannot have children anymore is that wrong too cause she cannot have babies? I am a man, I love my boyfriend, Love is love, and no matter what people say you will never take that away from me. GOD created me. He made me the way I was. If you can't accept that then maybe you are not a true muslim.
Is this going on in America???

Islam hates homosexuals more than any other religion. If you're homosexual and Muslim, you should probably rethink your life. Being homosexual and religious makes little sense, being homosexual and Muslim is... just don't do it.

I know several homosexual males born and raised in HIslam.
Sexual orientation is not a choice.

We are in 2012, do not allow any one, any religion and any role in this world to encourage HATE, what ever they are, and what ever who they are..

Everyone, heterosexual and homosexual, should leave it.
Homosexuals do not choose their gender preference.
One cannot be influenced to be homosexual.
Homosexuals cannot change their gender preference.
If anyone believes otherwise, they are living in fantasy.
One can choose to not drink.

A homosexual is homosexual whether or not he or she has had sex.
A homosexual remains homosexual even if he or she stops having sex.

@Shnakalaka You do realise that if you ever decide to leave your new religion you can be killed legitimately by other Muslims don't you.
mikelheron20 4 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka
I think a simple way to put it..
Does that make sense?

@ProteinShaykh NO Human being has the right to punish another for not believing or refusing to believe what you belive. Thats for god and only GOD to decide. Dont be so arrogant to think you can do that only which god can do.
romin256 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka @Shnakalaka i guess it would like any other bad behavior that if you doesn't repent from you will be punished for it. say for instance if someone steals his hand will be cut off and adultery is an even bigger crime in need of a bigger punishment but that doesn't mean he is "excommunicated" from Islam. in other words we cant say he is not a Muslim anymore. That is between him and Allah.
blacknanoosh 4 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka also any crime you get punished for in this life for you won't be punished for it in the after life so it might even be a mercy in its self!

@Shnakalaka adultery brings nothing except misery, destruction and chaos to a family. it not only affects the ones who practise it but the product of this act aswell and surrounding family.
in a psychological study they found that a child with out a father figure in his life becomes unstable and is psychologically affected, the child is heavily burdened
a heavy punishment like death for adultery ensures that life's are not ruined
zeshy999 4 weeks ago
@zeshy999
And to regain a relationship with God, is between the adulterer and his/her Lord,- and not a public affair!
senja71 1 week ago
@Shnakalaka
i think he means that adultery as an action is forbidden but the one who did adultery still a Muslim , and death punishment only for married ones as a salvation to purify you -prevent you from hell.
medoz013 3 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka well as a new Muslim I HOPE you know that Sharia is not gods words - it is islamic jurists words! Islam doesn't even condemn homosexuality, it condomns people to rape each other (in this case a man rapes a man according to Lot).
JackOfCPH 3 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka I'm no scholar but here is what I think. If someone commits adultery it is punishable by death according to Shariah. But it does not mean that the adulterer is not a Muslim anymore. He is still a Muslim, just not a very good one. He is punished not because he is not considered a Muslim anymore but because he committed a grave crime. It is up to Allah (SWT) to decide if he is still a Muslim or not and to decide if his sin is grave enough to not let him enter Paradise.
QoziKalon 3 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka it's never stated in the Quran that a break from the religion is punished by death. This practice was put together after the death of the Prophet and the new political leaders of the Muslim community began putting misogynistic rules back into place that the Prophet Muhammed removed, so that they could regain political power. If you're interested in a good history of Islam check out a book called "No god but God" by Reza Aslan.
Nemomeansnoname 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka That is the punishment in shariah for an act of adultery but even when someone's punishment is death they are not taken outside of the fold of Islam. They are still a Muslim and what they have done is between them and Allah (SWT).
DeaththeBlade 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka
Assalaam alaikum, I think what he meant by "excommunicate" in his examples was throwing them outside of Islam based on their behavior. So you can't say a person who commits adultery is not a believer; or a person who drinks is not a believer. The punishment may exist, but it's not "excommunicating" them or calling them disbelievers - they are still Muslims.
sulsully 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka The punishment is death....but only whenthere are 4 witnesses. Which is extremely unlikely. The punishment is more symbolic to sow how bad the sin is. If there were 3 witnesses and a video with 5 million views, it doesn't count.
mohamadaqil 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka In reality, it shouldn't be view like punishment. Adultery is on of the biggest sin and when you accept that you sin there is only one way to erase this sin. So in time of prophet, it was the adulterers that come openly to say that they sinned, it was for the purpose of erasing the unforgivable sin. This why the sinners must certify himself that he have sinned. It must take some courage and faith to surrender yourself to penitence of this.
Licrans 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka the law itself was made in some way that it really difficult to apply it if you don't confess and even when you confess it still difficult because you must be sure. There was hadith that even say that people came to the prophet to confess and he first didn't listen, and when the guy confess 4 time, the prophet ask him if he wasn't mad, he say no, and if he was married, and he said yes and then they stoned him.
the method is quite different form what we see today in IC
Licrans 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalaka there is also hadith about a women that came to the prophet for the same sin and want to be purify, but the prophet ask her to go back and she came back again the following day and said that she was pregnant, the prophet ask her to came back after childbirth, and she came back with the new born, the prophet asked her to came back after she wean the baby, and again she came back with the young children with a bred on his hand and then she was stoned.
Licrans 2 weeks ago
@Shnakalakacan't stone people without her approval(after she admit sincerely she obviously can't go back)or without strong proof and 4 testimony of 4 people that have seen the sin distinctly form 4different POV (sthg quite impossible in fact).Even the most suspicious women or men can't be stone just because his husband or wife find him/her with a men/women. But today in Islamic country, this law is misuse, even the people that stone don't respect the sinner as they forget the purpose.

@Shnakalaka Salamualikum If I may answer your question to the best of my ability. There is no verse in the Quran that says the punishment for adultery is death, none. The punishment for adultery according to the Quran for both sexes is lashes publicly and if persistent house arrest that is in Sura 2. Any other law that says otherwise is not Gods law and as God ordered Muhammed (pbuh) to follow and rule with GODS LAW alone 5:48-5:50 these are not my words but Gods words. salam
vmprophet 1 week ago
@Shnakalaka An adulterer is not punished unless his/her sin becomes public news.
Just because someone committed adultery doesn't mean he/she isn't Muslim. I believe this man made the explanation to such a phenomenon pretty clear. A person isn't necessarily thrown out of the fold of the ummah just because of a sin.
gypsy5724 1 week ago
@Shnakalaka there are many conditions that have to be met before an adulterer's punishment becomes death.
there MUST be 4 witnesses that catch the adulterers in actions. which means they're having sex in public basically. that's public indecency in any country and countries give punishments for it weather they follow Islamic law or now. The witnesses have to be reliable trustworthy community members! not just anyone who has a grudge against a person can turn them in for adultery.
najlabass 1 week ago
@Shnakalaka Also, the punishment is that severe only because if a person does get that punishment, they will not be later on (in judgment day) be judged for it. so that person will be cleaned from that sin after they die.
that being said. proving that someone committed adultery cannot be through video taping or pictures. it has to be with four witnesses that witnessed the adulterers in action. so it's VERY difficult to prove someone is cheating on their spouse. and Allah knows best.

Its imp

@Shnakalaka death penalty in sharia is for treason with marriage only . other forms of adultery are punished in other ways, depending from the degree of the adultery .However even in the case of marriage u can get a death penalty only when

@Pitttdog Lol we don't change the koran. But we do try to suit but still hang on the norms and values of islam. The thing about he koran is that it is never been changed since the day it was made.
MrMaanMan 3 months ago
@Pitttdog So, did Mohomad say "homosexual?" Or, was there some kind of descriptive language? Personally, I believe nothing should be examined outside of detailed context. So, when people keep repeating one liners from the bible or Quran or whatever, without any references to context, I cannot not take them or the quotes seriously.

When i lived in Tashkent, Uzbekistan gays and "suspected gays" where publicly executed, there is no place for gays in the muslim dominant countries.

the last part of this man's speech was quite agreeable.but at the start when he said that its ok to be gay and muslim individually, well i was shocked. Its like saying that you can deny Tauheed (Oneness of GOD) ( nauzo-billah) and still be Muslim. thats crap. he z a clear secular.
TheRajag 3 months ago
I lost all interest in the video when he uttered the word Sunniism. There is not such thing as Sunniism in Islam. He should go back to school to learn Islam. People like him should not be talking. They give erroneous implression about Islam. I have studied Abraham's Trio for more than 10 years. None accepts Homosexuality. That is a fact. Wrapping it in words like discretion is pure BS. I am not a believer. What they in the privacy is their business. I am against their adoption demands.

Muhsinmoejoe 3 months ago
Being a gay in Islam is not a sin, but follow your own desires and passions is a big sin.....some people are born with homosexuality, but as long as they keep their needs on the distance, then it's OK.
In Islam it's called Jihad - struggle with (yourself) your own passions.
bigNur1 3 months ago

@TheSeyeda who to say there his rules and not mans rules. Like do you really believe God is a man
knightofjustic 3 months ago
@TheSeyeda what arrogance and ignorance, not only do you believe there is a supernatural god-king,which is highly improbale, but you claim to know what the supernatural creator-god has on his mind...No man who has ever walked the Earth knows the origin of life/cosmos and what happens when you die.Any man who claims answers to these questions is a liar. The origin of life/cosmos and what happens after you die remain 'unknowable' and will remain so until humans are extinct.
PAULOcbi 2 months ago
@TheSeyeda Before you can obey God, you have to find out if this God exists, and then you have to find out what his rules are from the horses mouth, not from some writings Arabs made a long time ago and said it was God's rules. Anyone can just write a book of rules and say that they're God's rules, that doesn't make it true.
I could write a book about Bigfoot's rules. Maybe I should. I could start a religion. Unless Islam and Christianity recruited all the idiots already.

abdalacloud 1 month ago 2

However if they started bad mouthing my lifestyle or pretending to be vegetarian but still ate meat, then I would have to defend myself.
lastplacewin 4 months ago

Zhiivago 4 months ago
@Zhiivago
TOTALLY AGREE!
BUT...
I hope this kinda makes it clear to you

I'm a muslim and im gay. I'm born this way. I fall in love with guys. What can I do about it? Why does everybody focus on the "sexual" aspect of homosexuality? We actually are people and we need to love somebody and to be loved, and we fall in love. I don't want to reject Islam and God only because there are a bunch of homophobic and uneducated patriarchal imams in Islam. I love Allah! NO ONE can take my Muslim identity away from me! PEACE

this man has no clue of what he speaks, Islam abolish homosexuality and it's a capitol sin. The punishment is death by either stoning, beheading or throwing him from the highest building. Does that mean that every homosexual is an infidel? I highly doubt, Allah is merciful and he forgives those who are willing to change their behaviors.
PSNFreak11 4 months ago
@PSNFreak11 i think to say "this man has no clue of what he speaks" is an over generalization. Assuming that they are "behaviors" that can be changed is a claim to knowledge that only Allah has.

ASALAMU ALEYKUM,
YOU SHOULDN'T GET ANGRY LIKE THAT TAKE IT EAST IN EVERY ARGUMENT THERE ARE REASONING IT'S BEST YOU USE REASONING RATHER THAN MAKE CLAIMS LIKE"this man has no clue of what he speaks"

You need to read the book of Deuteronomy for God's position on homosexuality.
He is very clear about it. He made us male and female. This is clearly His only acceptable flesh union. Please, read it.

as a muslim, and this is my personal opinion and you obviously don't have to agree with me, but if a person were to approach me, and this person is NOT a muslim, and informs me or i found out that he/she is homosexual, then i will not treat them any differently from other people BECAUSE they do not follow the same religion as me, and as thus do not have the same values and do not have to adhere to the same rules as me. i would of course realise that the act they are commiting is wrong by me,
