Im quite disopointed to see your lock partners CC lacking due to the fact he could own the demonology lock easily. his main move "Banish" wasnt used at all?! and his curses were not up on the lock? when you got in to trubble with the fel guards stun and then the palas, you could have lost the game then. But overall very good team. need a couple more keybindings and you'll be fine. :D

I had a question about the Rogue,SP team. Since its 2 DPS and they can focus burn a target why didn't they just focus fire you (the healer) then the SP could catch up some healing after you were down? I am in a 2 DPS team rogue/MS warrior and about 75% of the time we can burst down the healer then kill the final DPS before either one of us is dead. Although this isn't an ideal setup if we do go against a team like yours we always focus fire the healer. Is it a high bracket thing?

In the high brackets (2K+ they usually seem to go for gibbing my partner, actually. A Rogue/SPriest team will attempt to keep me CCed, and then they lock me down while they try to finish off my partner. Usually it's something like Fear-->Sap-->Blind-->Silence--­>Fear. I'm much easier to CC, and if I am, no healing is being done. That make sense?

With teams will less CC (like yours), burning the healer is usually the better option. Still: coordinating pummels/kicks/fear/blind/sap can be

Another reason for an Spriest/Rogue to go on my lock is if they don't, he will be able to freely fear and CC, while his DoTs tick, which will be in our favor.

If I'm partnered with a lock, and an Spriest and Rogue go for me, it's wonderful. ;) (Above 2K, few do, though :( ).

A good idea is to cover your Innervate with trash buffs, for example rank one MotW and Thorns, Underwater Breathing, etc, to reduce the chance Priests or Shamans have to dispel your Innervate.

my partner and I don't have Vent..well he does but i don't...sucks cuz my comp sucks. Im sure it would help but typing codes on keyboard to understand the situation in arena helps out so much. Simply typing 0 means none visible in track for hunter..so either druid or rogue..or a night elf...and so on..

i recommend vent it will help a lot. Most importantly keep calm with ur partner and reinforce each other even in the losses..know that U WIN SOME U LOSE SOME...learn each other tendencies; FUN

Your comment about keeping calm is soooooooo true! I actually stopped playing with someone this season (who is in none of my videos) because his attitude was incredibly poor and he was really, really rude and mean about losses, but, well, they happen. It's part of the game, as you said, and arena is for FUN, so definitely being supportive of your partner is soooooo important. :)

No otherwhelming pointers here other than try and support eachother as much as you can. A good half of making this combo work is making sure if one person is in peril, you stop what you are doing to help get them out of that situation. Both classes have interrupts/ccs/etc, so it's very crucial to use them as each situation requires (CoE, etc.)

Communication over ventrillo was really key for my partners and I.

It's a very fun and dynamic combination, which is why I enjoy it so much. :)

Was wondering if u maybe could post a vid where your opponents has the same setup as you have? Like SLSL + Drood v.s SLSL + Drood, cause my team (I, slsl lock, and my buddy, resto drood) have a serious prob with finding a good strat against the same setup as we have. If we win or loose is just a matter of luck sometimes...

I can certainly try to. :) My main problem has been that in the @k+ bracket i'm currently in, the SL/SL Lock + Druid Mirror matchups have lasted a MINIMUM of 35 minutes, and I usually stop recording after about 20 or so minutes since it's so resource-intensive. :(

Basically, what you want to do is have more mana than the other druid. This means LoSing all mana drains (you should never be drained unless you get deathcoiled out in the open),

healing as infrequently as you can so you are out of the 5-second rule as much as possible, drinking as much as possible (root or banish the pet, run away, drink and get in a couple ticks),

innervating as frequently as possible (and making sure you get the full effect), and trying to help your partner drain that other druid as you can. ;) All it comes down to is a mana-race, so just try to operate on a minimum level of healing and you should be fine (downrank your roots too, if you haven't. Same with NG).

Hey me and my friend are gonna try SL/SL Lock/Resto Druid 2v2 and are wondering if you have any tips? I was thinking about maximizing stealth and cycling with Cyclone, Run, Heal, restealth. I know the last part isn't always possible tho. Any other strats u would like to share?

Thanks for commenting! I have a few videos up with commentary, so I'd recommend watching those, since they include some of my general strats. I don't find myself able to stealth very frequently during fights because either there is a dot ticking on me, a debuff, or I need to be active and out healing my partner/ccing enemies. In an ideal world, it would be very nice, but most teams pressure me a lot in the upper tiers, it seems. :-/

I don't have very many general strats, other than work on communicating with your parter so you can potentially start a CC chain with them using fear/root/cyclone in various orders. It's really crucial to be able to coordinate your CC with this pairing, and to keep the pet alive, because melee teams can blow through it pretty quickly if you aren't careful. :-/

Great video mate. But your mobility, targeting and reaction with spells is really slow. Dump the clicking and go for key bindings and such. Perhaps it's not necessary at that rating, but later warriors really do insane damage burst that will surely penetrate through your bear forms armor.

I've been working the past few weeks on trying to use my mouse to move more, and keybinding (and learning) the last few spells that I clicked regularly, regrettably, even though I HAVE targetting hotkeys, I rarely actually USE them, so I'm trying to work out a more comfortable solution to that. Because even when I watch my more current videos, I still see me clicking for both my party and for the other team, arg!

My reaction has gotten better throughout the season, thankfully enough, and I think a lot of that is due to more hotkeys week by week, but I'm still not where I want to be, but all good things in time. :)

We're 1877 Rated currently, so your comment on warriors is very apparent. -_- It's become critical for my lock to also help keep warriors on me if they are on me too hard, as they will rip me apart as a bear, or especially as a NE.

I've especially noticed the increase of warrior burst through the tiers in terms of keeping my partner's poor pet alive. :-/ That right there is an epic struggle sometimes, especially to heal through MS. *cringes*

Your first game was kind of bad vs Paladin/Warr, you always were to close to the warrior, and you didnt need to bear charge when he was rooted

I politely disagree. :) Part of the reason I was heavily bear in the beginning was two-fold: If the warrior gets ahold of me, I am a lot safer, and I am leery of any fear--manaburn-fear-manaburn mechanic early in a fight like this. Heavily staying a bear leaves me a lot less at risk.

Likewise: priests can cleanse root, and while I can "mask" it in fairie fire, I wanted him to stay in place as long as possible. Solution? Use feral charge and bash as often as possible.

Neither can be cleansed. :) And the priest was trying to dispell it, so it wasted the priest's time and mana.

That's why I charged right as root ended.

I was also trying to distract/bait the warrior as much as possible, and being nearby did just that. It gave my lock more time to focus on the priest (and his mana!), and kept him from harmstringing my partner.

I was a bit too close to the warrior at some points. I was trying to find a "sweet spot" where he couldn't charge me. :)

I use a 12/11/38 spec currently, and it's suited me fairly well so far. :) And aye: I'm trying to work on keybindings much as I can. One set that I seem to never reach for are bindings for targetting, but that's the next big binding "hurdle" I'm going to try to overcome in the next few months (in addition to heavy keyboard turning -_-).
