I am glad we have people like keith olbermann, Rachel Maddow and Bill Moyers. Republicans are more concerned with attacking Obama than fixing the country. Whatever happened to being patriotic? Didn't people from Texas and all those states tell everyone to be patriotic. I guess that only applies when there's a republican president
Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the cable news networks. Their range of coverage is narrow and they rely on vitriolic (and not particularly informative) exchanges between representatives of the poles of American politics to drive up their ratings. I think KO's commentary, though, is far less formulaic than that of so many of his colleagues. I think the best source of substantive NEWS is PBS, NPR and SOME print media, but I often tune in for Countdown, my editorial page in the world of TV news.

Olbermann could have the easiest job in the world. All he needs to do is go on tv for only 7 seconds and everyday say "Everything wrong in the United States today is George Bush's fault". It's what he's doing now, he only stretches it out over an hour.
Of all the journalists I find tolerable in today's media morass, Olbermann most often covers issues about which we need to know, and he is NOT an apologist for the criminal Bush cabal. Beyond that, he is the most erudite and articulate of our current crop of talking heads. I hope he continues to have a venue for a very long time.

Isn't there a law of physics that says two self-important full-of-you-know-what "journalists" can't occupy the same room together? How did their heads fit through the door?
What does his race have to do with anything? Stupid piece of shit blacks.

Great interview. Moyers is a legend. Olbermann....he is the Walter Cronkite of news journalism.

I agree. I cannot understand why some of the Papers where I live (in the UK) have not reviewed him more positively.

I like Gravel. But the reason he couldn't win is not because Olbermann it's because he's running in the United States.

"Jesse"'s quote is bang on. Olbermann is yet another windbag drama queen. Even though I share his distate for the Bush administration.
chapaev36 4 years ago
hes not a windbag drama queen just because he speaks long and eloquently and truthfully.
the amount that humans today exaggerate everything hurts discussion.
anybody can ask a question and sound so enlightened, but instead the question to ask back is what does jesse think the solution is?
should keith ignore bush, or should he agree with bush? how should he say bush is wrong, and how can he not be emotional about it.

Keith Olberman reminds me of the Walter Cronkite of today
