There's an eagle in Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon, a crow in the opening cinematic for Sonic and the Black Knight, the trailer for this game and a trailer for Prototype 2. But either way, I've seen it in many other games, from cartoony things like Sonic the Hedgehog to other serious games like Prototype. I just don't see why they put ominous crows/ravens in everything.

@vgman94 It's common, but in many cultures and Settings, Crows/Ravens were revered as spiritual deities and predictors of death. Movies like the Crow even drew on the aspect they carry souls of the dead to their grave, much like the grim reaper. Indians, folklore, and other stuff have angles of it with them as well. Given the game is a violent and brutal one, it seems only appropriate they'd pick a popular creature of death, to be around death.
