@kja427 Hello? Leif NEVER said he was Shaun Cassidy.....btw, a quick glance at those 'Shaun' videos on the right side there could have served to verify the correct spelling of his name. Perhaps Shaun was the cream of the teen idol crop in YOUR book but Leif is super SPECIAL in mine. And I didn't even have him plastered all over my walls as a kid. Besides, there was no real competition between them; any 'rivalry' you may have heard of was manufactured by the media to better sell teeny mags.
@kja427 One thing you forgot.....Leif did surpass Shaun in terms of poster sales....by far. Leif's image sold like hotcakes back in the day....his face adorned the walls of teens & preteens in bedrooms from coast to coast & overseas (not mine, though; I never had that 'pretty boy' perspective). As my best friend said, he is mega-talented & his BEST is yet to come. Leif's posters were outsold by only 1 other 70s icon---Farrah.....hahaha....she got lucky with that one epic red-swimsuit pose.....

@pgs5719 Like my best friend loveisintheair79 told you, 1972lady1 did NOT, at any point, DEFEND Leif though she said she would....anyway, never mind about her (she doesn't understand)...it was my friend & myself who spoke up on Leif's behalf, acknowledging that he DID in fact successfully complete a treatment program subsequent to which a judge has dropped the 2010 drug charge against him....he continues to make progress, he's doing very well indeed these days; we believe he WILL prevail!! : )
what ever leif does i am sure in my heart that he is a great and kind person. that counts for every thing. he is still the person that i would most like to meet. jim never fixed it for me, even though i wrote uncountable times! it's great to hear that he is well and clean. leif deserves some happiness and peace. all bad commenter s on this channel should get off his case and do some thing more constructive. good on you for sticking up for him and keeping his music alive! xx

Basically, she painted a damaging picture of Leif by saying that he refuses to get any help and that he is STILL a drug addict and will remain an addict for as long as he lives....this is what upset us. Leif has in fact successfully completed a drug treatment program this year & the judge has dismissed the 2010 heroin possession charge. We believe in Leif; he WILL prevail!!!!

Leif's image sold like hotcakes back in the day....his face adorned the walls of teens & preteens in bedrooms from coast to coast & overseas (not mine, though; I never had that 'pretty boy' perspective). As my best friend said, he is mega-talented & his BEST is yet to come. Leif's posters were outsold by only 1 other 70s icon---Farrah.....hahaha....she got lucky with that one epic red-swimsuit pose.....

Basically, she painted a damaging picture of Leif by saying that he refuses to get any help and that he is STILL a drug addict and will remain an addict for as long as he lives....this is what upset us. And being 50 has NO bearing on what's possible for Leif, ok. As long as one has breath in one's body, faith in one's heart, one CAN and WILL prevail over any and all obstacles/challenges, ok?!? I always loved Leif....but he never looked happy to me and it always broke my heart. He always looked so sad & serious ! I just watched him and his sister Dawn in a "Wonder woman " episode.....seemed like such great kids and very talented ! I hope they are both doing well ! Love them both !
